critter card swap

This month’s swap is a critter card swap – any animals or insects in the current catalogs, hence critters! I don’t usually have a lot of “critter” stamps so mine was a butterfly card which I will post Wednesday!

Happy Fourth of July to all, we are finishing getting settled and entertaining our first guests in our new home as my youngest son hosts a week long graduation celebration with eight good friends. We are enjoying all the beautiful weather and watersports!

My first featured swap card from a New York demonstrator, Kathi D. and she used Perched in a Tree Bundle from the new mini catalog and thank you for your patience my customer catalogs are on their way – a little late due to my move.

The next card is a perfect example of stamps versatility this card uses the Happy Hedgehogs stamp set but no hedgehogs! Lynn L. also used the deer stamp from the Grassy Grove bundle.
Here is another swap sample with the Grassy Grove by Peggy N. with a triple fold card – the next two photos show the card closed and opened!
This card uses Glad We’re Friends stamp set and the Tea Boutique DSP by Carol Ann A.
The swap card by Marcy W. used the Dragonfly Garden and the Pretty Prints DSP.
I love this cute punch bundle – Sweet Songbird makes such a cute swap card!
Thanks to Denise W for hostessing these swaps every month such great ideas!
Her swap card is my favorite using A Wish and A Fish!
Swap are such a great source of inspiration! Hope you are continuing to be inspired to create art of your own. Glad to be unpacked enough to be getting back to stamping!

swap cards in august such fun ideas

swap cards in august such fun ideas

I’ve said it before and I would say it again and again – one of the most fun things about being a demonstrator is the relationships you build with customers and demonstrators alike and just about every month I participate in a swap with the Stampy Wackers – Denise W’s Stampin’ Up! group which I happen to be a member of! The ladies that swap routinely are creative and talented and I thought I would share a fewof the creations I have gotten in the mail!
Sister Demonstrator Akemi G. made a card from the Tidings and Trimmings Bundle for the Christmas in July 2021 Swap! She used Evening evergreen and Basic White Cardstocks, Evening Evergreen and Cherry Cobbler ink and the Tidings of Christmas 6 x 6 DSP. The stitched Rectangular dies added interest around the focal point image and sentiment. She used a blender pen and the ink from the ink pads to color the stocking and the ribbon! So adorable!
The above images are the front and inside of the Easy Book Fold Card by Denise W. that hosts the swap each month. She lives on the west coast and all of the ladies are spread across the US – it is so fun to meet and swap with people from all over the states and the World! Denise used the new Penguin Place Bundle and the FREE coordinating Sale-a-bration paper Penguin Playmates!
The front and the inside of this card by Virginia S. are equally lovely and detailed hard to choose which of the sides needs to be the front and which is the inside! Virginia used Peaceful Cabin with Shaded Spruce ink and cardstock and Basic white CS as well. She used the Cabin dies, Wintery and Timber 3D Embossing Folders, Peaceful Place DSP and the Subtle Shimmer Sequins!
Phyllis L.’s card is also very beautifully detailed – these girls went all out! She used the Counting Sheep and coordinating dies both of which are FREE Sale-a-bration sets to earn with qualifying orders! The colors used were: Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green, Basic White, Basic Black, and Basic gray. She used the following light colored blends: Black, crumb cake, balmy blue and smoky slate!
I love that Jennie’s card jumped ahead a little to Valentine’s day or just to be used for someone that you love! This set is called Strong of Heart and uses Smoky Slate, Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Real Red and Silver Foil cardstocks.
The brick and Mortar 3D Embossing Folder provides depth and dimension and she stamped the heart in a DIY Ombre ink pad using Cherry Cobbler, Real Red, Flirty Flamingo and Melon Mambo!
Hope these talented ladies have inspired you to go out and create art – one stamp at a time!

One of my favorite parts about being a demonstrator is the opportunity to meet and create with like-minded crafters from around the globe! And boy are they creative and freely giving! They share ideas and tips and tricks and we get to Swap together! Here are a few of the swap cards from the last few months.. Where ever I kept the demonstrators name that created it I will give credit and if you recognize your card and I have not given you credit -please email me and let me know which is yours and I will get the recognition up with your lovely card!
