abundant beauty decorative masks

abundant beauty decorative masks

I love the affordability and versatility of the decorative masks and the new one in the current September to December 2023 mini catalog is a winner! It combines and four step layered sunflower mask, a background, a snowflake scene and a fall leaves mask. The possibilities are endless.

I have several cards made with this mask set to share with you today.

The first card uses the snowflake die and our Shimmery White Embossing Paste to create 3D snowflakes on the card front layer!

Measurements:
BASE: Smoky Slate 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Basic White layer 4″ x 5 1/4″

Place the snowflake decorative mask over the Basic White layer. Using the Paste tools smooth on a layer of the Shimmery White Embossing Paste onto the Basic White layer. Peel off the decorative mask and clean the embossing paste off the mask before it dries. Allow the embossing paste on the Basic White layer to dry thoroughly.

The paste creates a 3 dimensional pattern on the paper – it is so cool!
I wrapped the Silver and White Sheer ribbon around the Basic White layer and popped it up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a stamped banner from the Stylish Shapes die set for the sentiment piece and added Iridescent rhinestones to finish off this stunning shimmery card!
The second card is a fun fold peek-a-boo card!

Measurements:
Base: Basic White 2 sheets of 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″

Score the first sheet at 4 1/4″ and die cut a circle from the Stylish shapes in the upper center of the card front.

Using a Blending Brush ink blend the snowflake images on the card front with the circle die in place.

Score the second sheet at 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″
Adhere the largest panel to the inside of the first card so that the Z fold is on the right side.

Put glue on the z fold that shows through the circle die space and adhere the circle to the part of the z fold that shows through the negative circle space.

I added “let it snow” sentiments all over the card front and circle die.
I added Iridescent Rhinestones to the card front.
I finished the card off with the Silver and White Sheer ribbon down the left hand side of the card front.
The third card uses the four step sunflower masks. Each masks has a notch in the upper right hand corner to help you line up the images. I used grid paper and marked the Basic White layer corners and then the notch in pen on the grid paper to realign the paper and the masks each time!
I started with the flower petals and ink blended Crushed Curry over the mask onto the paper.
I added the next mask for the flower centers and inked with Pumpkin Pie ink.
I removed that mask and added the third one with the detailed flower centers and used Cajun Craze ink on this mask.
Using the last mask and Granny Apple Green ink I added leaves in two different positions.
Lining up the images allows you to create a flawless flower image! I love the results!
I mounted the Basic White masked layer onto a Crushed Curry base and added a small banner die for the sentiment and 2021-2023 In Color Opal rounds as the embellishment!

Three totally different looks from one decorative mask set – so economical and versatile!

shimmery white embossing paste

shimmery white embossing paste

Sometimes there is just such a fun product it deserves it’s very own product review!!

Can I tell you how much I love the Shimmery White Embossing Paste! This MUCH (pretend I am holding my hands as far apart as they will go – LOL) What’s not to love – it has built in Shimmer and Sparkle, it dried on your card to give it depth and dimension and texture in one easy application process!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

Here is an easy card to show off the ease of making a super impressive and easy card!

Measurements:
Bermuda Bay CS base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Basic White CS 4″ x 5 1/4″
Scrap Basic white for the flower fussy cuts and the sentiment die cut

I stamped around the edges of the base card with Bermuda bay ink and the large flower image from the Flowing Flowers stamp set.
Next I adhered the Basic White CS down to my Silicone Craft sheet with some old washi tape rolled into a ball on the back side of the white CS.
I then adhered one of the decorative masks from the Basic Patterns Decorative masks collection to the Silicone Mat, so nothing moves.
Using the palette knives I spread a thin layer of Shimmery White Embossing paste over the mask covering the entirety of the Basic White CS. Lift the mask and immediately wash with warm soapy water the silicone mat, the mask and the palette knife.
Isn’t that sparkle incredible!!
I stamped four flowers from teh Flowing Flowers stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink and fussy cut all four images out.

I die cut a Stitched Rectangle and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from that set. I popped up the sentment onto Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered the flowers to the back of the sentiment making sure that they did not extend over the card.

I adhered the Basic White embossed panel to the card then the sentiment and flowers piece on top of that, added the new Rhinestones Waves Basic Jewels that will be available to order on March 1st and voila sparkly, simple and pretty card!

Hope this inspires you to try this fabulous product! Now go make some art of your own – one stamp at a time!

shimmery white embossing paste meets coastal cabana

shimmery white embossing paste meets coastal cabana

Have you ever used our embossing paste – OMG – what a GREAT effect. We have two varieties – regular white embossing paste and the shimmery white embossing paste. In these samples I used the shimmery white and BOY DOES IT SPARKLE! Do you love sparkle but hate the mess of glitter – well we have so many options these days for glittery shine with out all the mess and this is definitely one of those! Well OK it’s a little messy but it cleans up with water and doesn’t have you sneaking into bed with glitter on your face only to give away the fact that you were crafting until way too late when your husband sees you in the morning LOL. (FYI – That has happened in the Gramley household before!)

Gather a few items for this project:
I used the Basic Patterns Decorative masks (#150697) – the polka dots pattern, Shimmery White Embossing Paste (#145645), the Pallette Knives (#142808) Basic White Cardstock (#159276), a reinker of your choice and matching cardstock (I used Coastal Cabana cardstock (#131297) and reinker (#131164)
I also used Bermuda Bay cardstock (#131197), Crumb cake cardstock (#120953), Coastal Cabana ink pad (#147097), Pool Party Sheer Ribbon (#152462) and Artistry Blooms Sequins (#152477)

Using the Silicon Mat, I adhere with old washi tape a Basic white cardstock piece measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″ and then adhered the Polka Dotted Mask from the Basic Patterns Decorative Masks (#150697) down so both would not shift while applying the paste.
Using an acrylic block I smeared some Shimmery White Embossing paste (#145645) onto the block.
Place two drops of re-inker or more to reach desired intensity of color (Two drops of the Coastal Cabana was plenty for the small amount I used (tip start with a small amount as the paste will harden over time and will just go to waste if you mix too much)
Mix together until blended with your palette knife.
Smear colored paste onto the mask and smooth until desired area is covered (can cover the whole mask or just a portion – you decide!)
Remove from under the mask and allow to air dry.
If you have left over take another sheet and smear until all used up.
I added the Pool Party Sheer Ribbon (#152462) around the pasted piece of cardstock.
Popped it up on Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) and adhered to a base of Crumb Cake cardstock.
Die cut a sentiment piece on Coastal Cabana from the Stitched So Sweetly die set (#151690) and stamp the sentiment in Coastal Cabana ink (#147097) from the Create with Friends (#156058) stamp set and pop up on Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) over the Pool Party ribbon.
Add the Artistry Blooms Sequins (#152477) to finish it off and hold the card up to the light to admire the sparkle!!
I adhered the smaller second piece to a Coastal cabana stamped Flowing Flowers tone on tone background.
I stamped the Thank You sentiment from the Flowing Flowers stamp set (#157880) and popped it up on Dimensionals.
I added artistry Blooms sequins to this card also!

I hope this inspired you to try this awesome and fun product! The possibilities and color combinations are endless! Now go and create some art of your own – one stamp at a time!
