more color mondays – pool party, flirty flamingo and lemon lolly sneak peak

Oh so many fun new things coming around the corner! We are going to three total catalogs a year no more mini catalogs and lots of fun stuff in this first new catalog!

We are introducing new impressions dies and plate to have embossing make even more of an impact and WOW!

This More Color Mondays submission features a sneak peak at some of the awesome new products we will be featuring with this new catalog!

Susan Campfield, a fellow demonstrator in my side line hit her million dollars in sales this past sales year and got a design a new stamp set for part of her million dollar celebration! The Phrases and Frames came out of those design meetings she wanted a versatile sentiment set and Stampin’ Up! was looking for a set like that to introduce one of their newest products the Impressions Plate! Lucky Her that she gets to introduce this product with her million dollar bundle!

This is an easel card which is an adaptation of the ones that she demonstrated at OnStage a few weeks ago using her million dollar bundle plus the Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series paper.

Measurements:
BASE: Pool Party CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″ and 2 1/8″, scrap for oval die
Lemon Lolly CS: (2) 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
DSP: 4″ x 5 1/4″

Take the Lemon Lolly CS layers and die cut 2 of the largest frame from the Phrases and Frames Dies.

Leave the paper die cut in the metal die and turn cut side up.

Make an Impression sandwich with the BASE Plate #1, the Thin Die Adapter #2 then place the die cut side up and lay the new Impressions Plate on top, add the #4 Embossing Plate and run through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine.

This puffs out the embossing making the design up out or stand out and is more defined.
Using the inside scrap from one of the die cuts in Lemon Lolly run the two smallest dies from the Phrases and Frames die set through the cutting setting with #1, #2 and two cutting plates #3s.
Run the larger frame of the two dies through the Impressions setting with #1, #2 then the die and paper cut side up, the Impressions Plate and then #4.
Cut the DSP to 3 3/8 X 4 3/4″.
Save the cut pieces.

Adhere the 3 3/8″ piece to a piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock of 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″.
This will show when the card is in easel mode for a finished backside.

Place Stampin’ Seal + around the backside of the perimeter of the large frame.
Place the DSP and Flirty Flamingo l;ayer, DSP side up on the taped side of the frame.
Place Stampin’ Seal + and the backside of the second frame and place over the DSP layer matching up the outside edges of the frames so they match. This essentially seals the DSP inside two frames back to back that the frames are pretty sides outward.
Cut another second smallest frame out of Pool Party and just use the inside oval for the sentiment.

Stamp the Happy Anniversary wording from the Phrases and Frames sentiment set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Adhere to the left side of the DSP inside the larger frame. Pop up the Lemon Lolly frame around the wording.

Open the card base to the inside and stamp the complimentary inside sentiment for the Anniversary in Tuxedo Black Memento ink in the center of the inside of the card base.
Take the DSP piece that is 5 1/4″ in length and adhere to the bottom of the inside of the card base below the inside sentiment.
Stamp the sending you hugs in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on the smallest oval from the Phrases and Frames die set.
Pop up the small oval on Stampin’ Dimensionals and place in the center of the DSP. This will be the stopper for the easel mechanism.
Adhere the lower half of the frame layer to the outmost panel of the card front.
Pop out a butterfly from the upcoming Floral Flight Accents – these are thick precut dies perfect for easy card making or accents in scrapbooking!

Adhere the frame layer to the right and below the sentiment frame.

Apply three Flirty Falmingo embellishments from the Array of Dots from the Beautiful Ordinary Life Suite of products to the card front.
If you bend the card at the score line this will create an easel effect and the card front will slide to the little oval stopper and rest as an easel for display!
This is what the card looks like from the side in the easel form! So much fun – I love easel cards they are impressive and easy and these new impressions dies have such great detail!

Try an easel card today and go create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!

snowflake kisses diagonal cut half card

snowflake kisses diagonal cut half card

I had a leftover from my studio Stamp-a-Stack class and instead of making another copy of the card I created for class I decided to redesign the card! Here is a fun diagonal cut card using the materials from Monday October 13th’s More Color Monday card post.

Measurements:
BASE: Highland Heather CS: 4 1/4″ x 11″
scored at 5 1/2″, scrap for snowflake die
Basic White CS: (3) 4″ x 5 1/4″
Balmy Blue CS: scrap for snowflake die
Pool Party CS: scrap for snowflake die

Place the card in the Stampin’ Trimmer diagonally and cut the front bottom of the card off.

Place the 2 Basic White layers 1/2 down from the top of the card. Cut two of the Basic White layers by laying them over the base card and marking the diagonal edges so the angle of the diagonal cut will be the same.

Die cut one of the two diagonally cut Basic White layers with the background die from the Snowflake kisses die.

Adhere the die cut to the other diagonally cut Basic White layer.

Adhere the double Basic White layer to the diagonal card base front.
Adhere the last 4″ x 5 1/4″ to the inside of the card.

Stamp the sentiment in the right-hand corner with Gorgeous Grape ink so it can be seen when the card front is closed.

Cut one each of the single snowflakes from the Snowflake Kisses die set in Pool Party, Balmy Blue and Highland Heather cardstock and adhere around the circle in the background die on the card front with Multipurpose Glue.
Adhere three Faceted Snowflake gems to finish the card.

This card uses most of the same products as the card I designed on 10-13-25 but looks very different – amazing what you can do with the same exact products but a different design!

Go out and create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!

more color mondays – gorgeous grape, secret sea and pool party

more color mondays – gorgeous grape, secret sea and pool party

Today’s installment of More Color Mondays features one of our new In Colors Secret Sea – a dark blackish Blue that is a softer substitution for Black and a fabulous neutral! Paired with the rich tones of Gorgeous Grape and the subtle brightness of Pool Party this makes a beautiful combination for this Northern Lights Lights of Aurora Suite card!

Measurements:
BASE: Gorgeous Grape CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
DSP: 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
Basic White CS: 4″ x 5 1/4″
Secret Sea CS: 3 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ for die cutting
Pool Party Two Tone CS: scraps at least 4 1/4″ in
width

Die cut the Secret Sea layer with the larger tree line die image from the light & Wonder die set.

Cut the Pool Party Two Tone Cardstock to 4 1/4″ in width and then rip so the nice white inside layer shows on the darker side on two pieces and the lighter side on two thinner pieces.

Cut the 6″ x 6″ DSP to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″

Adhere the DSP to the card front and then Adhere the torn pieces of Two Tone Pool Party Cardstock alternating the colors dark on bottom light next and dark on top and adhere to the bottom of the card front.

Do not adhere the top 1/4″ to allow for room to slip in the tree die cut.

Slip the tree die cut under the top Two Tone cardstock ripped layer and cut the piece to size.
Adhere the tree die cut to the card front with Multipurpose glue.
Stamp a sentiment inside in Gorgeous Grape ink. I have multiple November birthday cards to send out and thought this was a perfect holiday card but also equally awesome winter birthday card!
I used the final torn Pool Party Two Tone cardstock on the bottom of the inside layer.

Adhere the Pool Party to the layer and adhere the layer to the inside of the card.

I added three Basic Rhinestone Jewels to the card around the sentiment and then two of our new Faceted Snowflakes embellishments which I think look like stars!

Try ripping some two tone cardstock to expose the white center and using it on your next project.

Now go and create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!
