in color strip card

in color strip card

It is fun to use all five new 2026-2028 In Colors on a single card and today’s blog post does just that!

Using strips and an embossing folder creates a card with tons of dimension and great appealing new colors!

Measurements:
BASE: Basic White CS: 4 1/4″ x 11″
scored at 5 1/2″, 45″ x 5 1/4″ scrap strip for
sentiment and butterfly dies
Barely Blush CS: 3 3/4″ 5 1/2
Crisp Cantaloupe CS: 3 3/4″ 5 1/2
Golden Glow CS: 3 3/4″ 5 1/2
Hydrangea Hue CS: 3 3/4″ 5 1/2
Peaceful Pine CS: 3 3/4″ 5 1/2

Emboss the 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White layer with the Fern and Flora 3D embossing folder and adhere to the Basic White card base.
Emboss each of the In Color layers in the same place as the Basic White embossed layer so the design is consistent.

Cut the In Color embossed layers into 3/4″ strips and 3 3/4″ wide.

Start at the top of the embossed Basic White layer and adhere the first 3/4″ strip to near the top about 1/8″ down from the edge.

Adhere the next color by popping it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals leaving another 1/8″ border above the next color strip.
Continue adhering the different colors alternating heights gluing directly to Basic White embossed layer and then popping it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals until you reach the bottom of the Basic White embossed layer.
Stamp the sentiment on a 1/2″ strip and cut diagonally on each end for a little flair.

Pop up the sentiment on Stampin’ Dimensionals and place on the card front.

Stamp the small butterfly image from the Fern and Flora stamp set and die cut them out.
Adhere to the card base over the In Color strips for added texture and imagery.

Add two Peaceful Pine 2026-2028 In Color Dots for some coordinating embellishments to complete the card.
If you get the entire In Color Collection try using all five colors on one card – it’s amazing how well the color work together!

Now it’s your turn to create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!

sweet old bear card

sweet old bear card

This suite for me is super sentimental and nostalgic. The Designer Series Paper is so awesome there are two pages that have little vignettes of scenes from the original Winnie the Pooh books and they make perfect easy cards.

Measurements:
BASE: Very Vanilla CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″, 4″ x 5 1/4″ scrap for
sentiment piece
Golden Glow CS: scraps for vignette matte and
sentiment matte

Emboss the Very Vanilla layer with the Hundred Acre Woods embossing folder.

Adhere to the Very Vanilla card base.

Die cut one of the vignettes and die cut the larger matte in Golden Glow CS and adhere the Pooh Vignette to the Golden Glow Matte and then adhere to the center of the embossed card front.
Die cut the smaller banner in Very Vanilla cardstock and the larger banner die in the Golden Glow CS. Stamp the sentiment in Golden Glow ink on the Very vanilla banner and adhere it to the Golden Glow banner. Pop the sentiment up on Stampin’ Dimensionals and mount on the card below the Pooh Vignette.
Adhere the In Color Butterflies around the card to finish it off.

Love the sentiment images and the sweet words and labels that coordinate with all of the old fashioned Pooh images.

Now it’s your turn to make some artwork of your very own one stamp at a time!

more color mondays – misty moonlight, old olive and crisp cantaloupe

more color mondays – misty moonlight, old olive and crisp cantaloupe

Today’s More Color Mondays color challenge features some of the colors from the Waterside Retreat Designer Series Paper. Pulling colors from the DSP is one of the things I love about Stampin’ Up! -everything coordinates: the DSP uses the same colors as our cardstock and inks and embellishments! It is super easy when everything matches and coordinates and even easier when the designers at Stampin’ Up! pick great colors that work well together!

Today’s color match up uses Misty moonlight, Old Olive and the returning In Color Crisp Cantaloupe!

It also features the NEW Waterside Retreat Suite of products and the DSP in this Suite has a 12″ x 12″ piece that has 13 different images – cut them apart and use for easy card or scrapbook page designs!

Measurements:
BASE: Misty Moonlight CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
DSP: 4″ x 5 1/4″
Basic White CS: 4″ x 5 1/4″, scraps for the grass
dies
Crisp Cantaloupe CS: scrap for the adirondack
stamp and die

Cut the center top image from the multi image piece of DSP down to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhere to the Misty Moonlight card base front.
Stamp the adirondack chair image from the Relaxing Waterside Bundle in Pecan Pie ink on Crisp Cantaloupe CS and die cut out from the coordinating die set Relaxing Waterside dies.
On Basic White CS scrap stamp the tall and shirt grasses in old Olive ink and die cut out.
Pop up the Adirondack chair on Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhere to the lower left-hand corner of the card front.
Adhere the grass die cuts behind the chair image.
Stamp the sentiment Relax in Old Olive ink in the upper right-hand corner of the DSP.
Adhere the Crisp Cantaloupe In Color Dots around the sentiment.
I added the 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White layer to the inside of the card and stamped off a tall grass on the right-hand side and an inside sentiment in full strength Old Olive ink.
I stamped another grass in old Olive and layered it under the chair image on the left side to give the card a little balance.

I added some seagull die cuts from the Sunset Coast bundle to finish off the card.

Now it is your turn to create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!

hidden edge dsp card

hidden edge dsp card

Fern and Flora Bundle was the After Hours stamp set and dies that we were able to pre-order for OnStage 2026 Convention and got to play with and make lovely pre-designed cards with after one of the convention days.

This lovely set is perfect for those that love plants and nature themed sets! Today’s card is a fun hidden dsp edged card – super simple to make and recreate with any DSP or colored cardstock that you have lying around!

Measurements:
Basic White CS: 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″
4″ x 5 1/4″, scraps for dies
DSP: 1″ x 5 1/4″

Die cut a variety of the fern dies from the Fern and Flora die set from the scrap Basic White CS you will need 4-6 depending on the sizes.
I choose 6 dies and three ink colors – Granny Apple Green, Old Olive and the NEW 2026-2028 In Color Peaceful Pine inks.

Blend the dies with the different colors I choose two dies for each color and tried to color them with different pressures to vary the hue of the colors.

Emboss the 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White layer with the Fern and Flora 3D embossing folder – this one is stunning!
Adhere the embossed layer to the card front.

Take and place adhesive ONLY on the left hand side of the back of the DSP layer. This allows the right-hand edge to have no adhesive and act like a pocket being able to “tuck” the dies under the “hidden edge”!

Adhere the DSP to the left-hand edge of the embossed layer.

Using the silicon matte because these dies are delicate and this will protect your surface from getting glue all over, place multi-purpose glue to the backs of each of the die cuts and tuck them under the DSP edge starting at the top of the card and overlapping until you reach the bottom of the card!
I stamped three moth images in the NEW Hybrid Black ink – which I love – this will replace the Memento ink and is awesome as you can watercolor with it and use Stampin’ Blends to color without smearing!

I then colored the wings of the three moths with the Golden Glow Shimmer Brush, the sparkle is so luscious!

Add the Moths to the card front – I adhered one directly to the DSP and popped the other two up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added 2 Golden Glow embellishments from the 2026-2028 In Color Dots to the card front.
I took a close up of the Shimmer Brush results – can you see that Sparkle? I hope you can!
I added a stamped sentiment box and the sentiment from the Fern and Flora stamp set and colored the border in Golden Glow Shimmer Brush!

Love this masculine card – don’t you?
Try this hidden DSP edge next time you stamp! Now it’s your turn to create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!

With the short side of the DSP at the top of the Stampin’ Trimmer and the left edge at the 1″ mark cut from the 1″ mark on the clear ruler to the 7 1/4″.
Repeat this cut with the opposite side placer the opposite short side at the top of the Trimmer and place the edge of the paper at the 1″ mark on the right side of the cutting groove, cut from the 1″ to the 7 1/4″ marks on the clear ruler.

Then with the long side of the DSP at the top of the Trimmer and the left side of the DSP at the 1″ mark – score between the top and bottom cuts.

Then Score at 1 1/2″ in between the top and bottom cuts.

Repeat on the opposite side of the DSP.

With the long side of the DSP at the top of the Trimmer and at 2″ on the side score from the top edge of the DSP to the top cut line and from the bottom cut line down to the bottom edge of the DSP. (Only score above and below the cut lines for this score line)

and bottom scores V-M-V

Fold and burnish all score lines.

It will look like the photo below.

Fold the DSP and add Stampin’ Seal to the outside U shaped panel and attach to the left hand inside of the Basic Beige card base.
FOld the DSP again and place adhesive on gthe opposite U shaped panels on the other side of the DSP that is not attached to the card yet. Close the back side of the card base and rub on the back side of the card base to secure the DSP to the back inside of the card base.
Take the extra layer of Basic Beige and stamp the images for decoration.
Die cut the images.

Color the stamped images from the Silly Old Bear Suite with Petal Pink, Pecan Pie and Golden Glow Stampin’ Blends.

Take the extra layer of Pecan Pie CS and run it through the Stampin’ Cut and EMboss machine with the Hundred Acre Woods 3D embossing folder.
Adhere the embossed layer to the card front.
Pop up the sentiment die on the center of the card front and add Piglet popped up over the sentiment label.
Stamp the inside sentiment to one of the Basic Beige smaller layers and adhere the two Basic Beige smaller layers to the Pecan Pie layers.

Adhere the stamped and colored figures to the Basic Beige layers and adhere the Pecan Pie to the middle inside panels.

One of my favorite NEW products in the catalog are our NEW IN COLOR SHIMMER BRUSHES! They do not show well in these photos but the shimmer is stunning and I dressed up the stamped images with the Golden Glow Shimmer brush!

I adhered some metallic dots to the card front to finish off this great book fun fold.

Try this fold if you want to really WOW a special someone with you card making skills!

This card post was incomplete yesterday so I rewrote it today with all the photos that did not make the original post – sorry for the technical difficulties!

Now it’s your turn to go and create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!
