Today’s new card sketch is a fun one and this is the card I designed with it – let me see what you can do with it!

Measurements:

BASE:Secret Sea CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
DSP: 2″ x 5 1/4″
Basic White CS: 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ strip, 3″ x 5 1/4″,
scraps for dies
Old Olive CS: scrap for die
Mossy Meadow CS: scrap for die
Berry Burst CS: scraps for dies

Take the 3″ x 5 1/4″ layer and emboss in the Fern and Flora 3D Embossing folder.

Attach to the right-hand side of the Secret Sea card front leaving an even border on the top, bottom and right side.

Tear the DSP in half and flip one side over.
Tear the edge off of the Basic White strip, adhere one side of the DSP to the left of the embossed layer then the Basic White strip and then the other side of the dsp leaving the same size even border on the top, bottom and left hand side.

Die cut the ferns in Old Olive scrap and Mossy Meadow scrap, die cut the flower sections and the moth in Berry Burst scraps.

Start to adhere the ferns over the embossed section.

Adhere the Old Olive lacey fern over the Mossy Meadow larger fern.
Adhere the Berry Burst flower sections together and glue the White flower centers in the middle of the flower pieces.
Stamp the sentiment in Berry Burst ink onto the sentiment die and blend Berry Burst ink over the surface of the die.

Pop up the sentiment piece over the bottoms of the fern dies and adhere the flowers diagonally onto the sentiment piece.

Pop up the die cut moth over the fern die cuts.

I placed the smaller flower die in the ferns and three Mossy Meadow embellishments around the sentiment from the Natural Matte Dots.

This month’s Demonstrator Swap featured new products!

The first Demonstrator swap card comes from my upline Denise W. and features the Velvet Meadow suite of products. The Designer Series Specialty paper is flocked with velvety soft features on the paper for an extrasensory “feel” of softness to your card – it is super cool.
The sentiment die is cut from the Velveteen Assortment papers which come in three colors: Bubble Bath, Peaceful Pine and White.

The second swap sample is from Lori V and features the Relaxing Waterside bundle and the Everyday Arches dies in hues of Pool Party, Misty Moonlight, Gray Granite, Old Olive and Pecan Pie!

Marie W’s swap card uses the Bloom Boutique suite of products and the sentiment focal piece comes from the Phrases and Frames bundle of products in tones of Golden Glow!

My next swap sample comes from new stamper Deb A. and uses the Caring Animals stamp set and the everyday Arches dies on the beautiful Moonlit Flora DSP. Great color combo on this card.

Andrea U’s swap card also uses the Relaxing Waterside bundle with In Colors of Peaceful Pine, Golden Glow and Crisp Cantaloupe.

Ginger S’s swap card features the Valley in Bloom suite of products for this gorgeous split front fun fold card. The DSP is the Valley in Bloom and the center piece features the Floral Spray 3D embossing folder and the lily of the Valley dies.

Kathy D. stamped on her swap envelope as well as her lovely swap card featuring the Fragrant Layers bundle in hues of Lemon Lolly and Balmy blue with Silver foil accents. Her sentiment is from the Online Exclusives Sweet Words and Labels.

Carol S’s swap card features two contrasting In Colors that look great together – Crisp Cantaloupe and Peaceful Pine and truthfully this is one of the reasons I love swapping together – I would have never thought to combine these two colors – but they look amazing!

She used the Everyday Arches dies and the All A Flutter Punch Bundle! Beautiful card!

The last May swap I received is this gorgeous retirement card from Jan S. using the Scenic Coast suite of products including the Sunset Shimmer Vellum on the left-hand side of this book bind fun fold card! LOVE THIS CARD!

hidden edge dsp card

Fern and Flora Bundle was the After Hours stamp set and dies that we were able to pre-order for OnStage 2026 Convention and got to play with and make lovely pre-designed cards with after one of the convention days.

This lovely set is perfect for those that love plants and nature themed sets! Today’s card is a fun hidden dsp edged card – super simple to make and recreate with any DSP or colored cardstock that you have lying around!

Measurements:
Basic White CS: 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″
4″ x 5 1/4″, scraps for dies
DSP: 1″ x 5 1/4″

Die cut a variety of the fern dies from the Fern and Flora die set from the scrap Basic White CS you will need 4-6 depending on the sizes.

I choose 6 dies and three ink colors – Granny Apple Green, Old Olive and the NEW 2026-2028 In Color Peaceful Pine inks.

Blend the dies with the different colors I choose two dies for each color and tried to color them with different pressures to vary the hue of the colors.

Emboss the 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White layer with the Fern and Flora 3D embossing folder – this one is stunning!

Adhere the embossed layer to the card front.

Take and place adhesive ONLY on the left hand side of the back of the DSP layer. This allows the right-hand edge to have no adhesive and act like a pocket being able to “tuck” the dies under the “hidden edge”!

Adhere the DSP to the left-hand edge of the embossed layer.

Using the silicon matte because these dies are delicate and this will protect your surface from getting glue all over, place multi-purpose glue to the backs of each of the die cuts and tuck them under the DSP edge starting at the top of the card and overlapping until you reach the bottom of the card!

I stamped three moth images in the NEW Hybrid Black ink – which I love – this will replace the Memento ink and is awesome as you can watercolor with it and use Stampin’ Blends to color without smearing!

I then colored the wings of the three moths with the Golden Glow Shimmer Brush, the sparkle is so luscious!

Add the Moths to the card front – I adhered one directly to the DSP and popped the other two up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added 2 Golden Glow embellishments from the 2026-2028 In Color Dots to the card front.

I took a close up of the Shimmer Brush results – can you see that Sparkle? I hope you can!

I added a stamped sentiment box and the sentiment from the Fern and Flora stamp set and colored the border in Golden Glow Shimmer Brush!
