front flap fun fold card

front flap fun fold card

Such an easy fun fold! The front flap uses the extra piece you cut off the base for the flap! Nothing goes to waste – I LOVE THAT!

Measurements:
Base: Lemon Lime Twist 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″ cut the 4 1/4 front piece of
the card to 2 1/8″ from the score line.
DSP: 2″ x 5 1/4″ and scrap to cut characters out
Basic White: 4″ x 5 1/4″ for inside
2″ x 2 5/8″ for front flap layer

Adhere the Basic White 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece to the inside of the card base.
Adhere the 2″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Zoo Crew DSP to the front flap.
Stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Translucent Florals set (this is a sneak peak of a set that will be available in the upcoming September to December 2023 mini catalog) to the upper left hand corner of the 2″ x 2 5/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock. Fussy cut the rabbit image out of the Zoo Crew DSP and adhere to the bottom right hand corner of the same cardstock.
Score the 2 1/8″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock in half.
Adhere to the left side of the 2 1/8″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Lemon Lime Twist that was cut at the
beginning.
Fold the card in half so the white piece is on top. Add adhesive to the bottom of the Lemon Lime Twist piece (the card will open on the left)
Place the edge of the score in the middle right edge of the card base. Adhere over the Basic White inside layer.
Open up the small Lemon Lime Twist front flap and stamp the inside sentiment on the card inside panel.
Fussy Cit more animals out of the Zoo Crew DSP and adhere to the DSP on the front left hand flap.
Place embellishments on the card and voila fun fold card is complete!

Try your hand at the simple and fun design and go out and create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!

double diagonal pocket fold card

double diagonal pocket fold card

This fun fold card uses a single sheet of 12″ x 12″ piece of DSP and can be used as a gift card holder with it’s double pocket design!

Cut a piece of double-sided paper 12″ x 12″ DSP to 12″ x 8″. Choose paper that is thick and sturdy and with a pattern that is the same when viewed either horizontally or vertically.

Below is the photo of the template for this card, dotted lines are to be scored and solid lines are the cut lines.

Score at 3″ diagonally in the top left hand corner, score diagonally at 4″ on the bottom right hand corner, score at 4″ down the 8″ side and at 6 inches from the right hand side to the 4″ score line, then cut the remaining way to the left hand side of the DSP along that 6″ mark. See the illustration below for clarity!

Fold and press the top left triangular section of paper toward the front along the score lines as shown in the photo below.
Using Tear N Tape add adhesive to the inside corners of the triangular fold as shown below.
Remove the paper from the Tear N Tape and adhere the triangular fold down.
Fold and press the lower right triangular section of paper toward the back along the score line as shown in the photo below.
Add Tear N Tape on the left edge of the DSP below the triangular upper fold and just to the cut line at the 6″ mark.
Remove the release paper from the Tear N Tape – (the Take Your Pick Tool is an awesome tool for this and many other uses!)
Fold the paper to the right creating the top pocket.
Add Tear N Tape from the fold below the pocket you just created until the diagonal line on the left and right edges below the new pocket – see the photo below.
Remove the release paper from the two Tear N Tape pieces and fold the DSP up.

Place Tear N Tape on the inside corner of the second pocket flap and remove the paper and adhere.

Turn the DSP over to reveal the inside of the card
I stamped the inside with a flower image from the Hues of Happiness and a sentiment in Mambo Melon.
I cut two Basic White pieces of cardstock for the pocket cards and stamped them.
The front pocket measures 2 1/4″ x 5″ and the back pocket card measures 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″.
I used a thin water painter directly after stamping and pushed the ink around the edges of the petals for a subtle watercolor effect!
I stamped a flower in Mambo melon and leaves in Granny Apple Green for the focal point on the pocket card front, and watercolored them with ink and water painters as well.
I popped up the flower on Stampin’ Dimensionals and tucked the leaves underneath.
I added 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots and this is such a cute birthday card! I have the perfect friend to send it to!

Hope this inspired you to try your hand at this easy Double Diagonal Pocket Card, now go out and create some art of your own – one stamp at a time!
