I find inspiration everywhere – and one of the things I love most about Stamping and creating is the incredibly talented and sharing community that is the demonstrators of Stampin’ Up! It is a unique group of women – committed to teaching the art of paper crafting and sharing their talents with others.
Thank you to Linda B. for the card design and inspiration!

Measurements:

Card Base: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
mark the front of the card at 3 1/2″ and place
the top score mark in the cutting track and
swivel the card until the tic mark at the 3 1/2″
measurement is on the cutting track as well.
Cut the diagonal line and save that piece.
DSP (2) 6″ x 1 1/4″ or (1) 12″ x 1 1/4″
(1) 3 3/4″ x 4″
Cardstock same color as base card:
3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
Basic White CS: 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″
scraps for front embellishment

Adhere the 3 3/4″ x 4″ piece of DSP to the upper inside of the base card as shown in the photo below.
Adhere the inside bottom corner with Tear and Tape and adhere to the back of the base card.
Adhere the DSP 1 1/4″ strip diagonally over the diagonal cut on the card front as shown below.
Adhere the other 1 1/4″ strip to the smaller triangular piece
Cut off the DSP overhang and turn and adhere the backside outer edges with Tear and Tape
Adhere to the bottom right hand corner of the card.
Decorate the card front with a focal point to adhere where the card criss-crosses in the front. I chose the Bird punch in coordinating colors.
Adhere the Basic White layer to the Parakeet Party layer. Stamp the sentiment and music notes on the pocket card and slip into the pocket!
OK now it’s your turn – try this easy pocket card and go create some art of your own – one stamp at a time!

Happy Stampin’

Natalie
