OK by now most of you know if you use the internet at all – WE HAVE BEEN SITTING ON A MASSIVE SECRET SINCE MARCH – and it was big and exciting and hard to keep quiet BUT WE DID IT!!!!

In March I was among the lucky demonstrators that were made to put there phones away and promise to stay silent about a new product coming to market this summer! Then Stampin’ Up! management detailed OUR NEW HOT FOILING SYSTEM! They demonstrated to lots of OOOHS AND AAAAHS and boy is it incredible! I just got mine and documented the easy steps to makeing NEXT LEVEL CARDS!

Measurements:
BASE: Crumb Cake CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Basic white CS: (2) 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
Basic Black CS: 1/2″ x 5 1/2″

The Hot Foil System comes with the plug and the platform, 2 silicone trays, a hot foil shim, a hot foil spacer and a heavy duty magnet tool to move the hot dies off the machine!

Here is the heating platform. Place it on the silicon platform before starting.

The hot foil dies are heavier and a muted metal tone so they are very easy to distinguish from our regular dies.

Choose a large enough piece of cardstock to cover the die.

Cut a large enough piece of foil off the roll to cover the die.

(Save the foil paper once you are done and I will show you how to not waste a shiny morsel in an upcoming blog post!)

Plug the power cord into the platform. The magnetic plug will snap into place. Press the white button to turn on the heating system. The platform beeps and all the lights briefly flash. During the heating process (approximately 6 minutes) the white timer button stays lit and the red light flashes. When the platform is ready to use, it beeps again. When it beeps again the red light stays solid , and the white timer button flashes.

Once the platform beeps, place the flat side down on the surface of the platform and press the white timer button again. The platform beeps and the yellow light flashes while the die heats (approximately 1-2 minutes) The white timer button and the red light stay lit. When ready the platform beeps again and the green light turns on, and all of the lights will be lit.

Place the foil shiny side down over the heated die.
Place the cardstock over the foil.
Place the Hot Foil Shim over the cardstock.
Place the Hot Foil Spacer over the Hot Foil Shim and your sandwich is complete.

Unplug the platform and place on the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine.

Run the sandwich through SLOWLY – twice – DO NOT RUSH THE PROCESS – need to go slowly to allow the foil to adhere to the cardstock.

Remove from the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine.

Remove the shim, spacer and foil and paper and with the Magnetic pick up tool – pick up the hot die and place on the other silicon cooling pad.

Peel the foil off of the cardstock and you are left with the most elegant image!
I fussy cut the Botanical Glow Hot Foil out and did the same Hot Foil process with the Butterfly Flight dies and put together this card!

It is stunning folks I cannot begin to tell you how addictive this is!!!

Now it is your turn to create something beautiful – go and stamp – one stamp at a time!

Happy Stampin’
