So many fun things can be done with this stamp set for the Fall! One of the new Fall sets in the August-December 2021 mini catalog is called Gorgeous Leaves Stamp set (#153365) and comes as a Bundle (#158609) with coordinating Intricate Leaves dies (#153566)
This first card starts with a Flirty Flamingo Cardstock base (#141416) embossed with the new 3D embossing Folder called Timeworn Type (#156505). The Leaves are stamped twice first in Daffodil Delight ink (#147094) then into Poppy Parade (#147050). Then die cut with the Intricate Leaves Dies and adhered to the back of a Stitched So Sweetly dies (#151690)
Using the Alcohol Stampin’ Blends markers I colored an acrylic block and sprayed it with 99% alcohol and “stamped” the block with the ink direct to paper and smooshed the block around to spread the ink to the edges, creating the colored background. I finished off the card with Basic White cardstock (#159276) die cut with the Intricate Leaves Dies and the sentiment from Welcoming Woods (#156550)
Starting with a basic White piece of cardstock 2 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 1″ and stamped on the side where the score mark is indented into the paper to create a valley and white line across the stamped image (to create a little visual interest) I stamped the leaves on the upper and lower edges of the Poppy Parade card base (#119793) in Poppy Parade ink (#147050) and stamped the sentiment and the leaves on a Stitched So Sweetly die cut (#151690) that is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) and finished off with a Pale Papaya Open Weave ribbon (#155672).
I used the same technique as the second sample and the video from Monday’s blog post featuring alcohol block stamping – this time I colored the Stampin’ Blends in stripes and then sprayed them with alcohol and then stamped the paper and cut it into 1/2″ strips and adhering them to a Mint Macaron cardstock (#138337) base in order. I die cut the Intricate leaves in Basic Black cardstock (#121045) and adhered to the card on top of the adhered alcohol dyed strips. The sentiment is from the Nature’s Harvest stamp set (#156495) and stamped on Basic white and Basic Black cardstock die cut with the Stitched Rectangles die set (#151820)
How about making your own rainbow stamp pad? All you need is a porous surface – a paper towel, a baby wipe a piece of felt…each will stamp and absorb and hold ink slightly differently – so experiment! I used a folded paper towel and dropped ink in a random pattern in four complimentary Fall Leaf colors – Cherry Cobbler re-inker (#119788), Daffodil delight reinker (#119672), Mango Melody re-inker (#147162), and Poppy Parade re-inker (#119791). Then use as you would a regular ink pad. I stamped the background image in Pool Party and I forgot to clean my stamp so a couple of the splotches are multi colored (one of those happy accidents!) Stamped multi-colored leaves directly to the paper and also stamped and die cut on some scrap paper and popped a few up to give the leaves some dimension! I added Pool Party Sheer ribbon. I love the pairing of the Fall colors with the Pool Party cardstock, I think it gives the card a Fresh Fall look!
Yesterday started our first time ever running a second Sale-a-bration in one year! These two new catalogs are really nice and filled with beautiful options for all your Fall and Holiday stamping needs! My last card sample from the Gorgeous Leaves Bundle is simple but stunning! It starts out with loads of sparkle thanks to the FREE Sale-a-bration Specialty Paper called Be Dazzling Specialty paper (#156629) three die cuts from the Intricate Leaves dies in Basic Black, Basic White and a multi-colored leaf from the previous technique with the homemade rainbow ink pad! The Sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments sentiments set (#151595) on the Stitched So Sweetly die set and a bow using Flirty Flamingo Gold Metallic Ribbon (#155610)
