Have you ever been to a home that has a dutch door? Where the door is divided in two and each side opens independently of the other? Well this card is similar to that hence the name. It is an easy fun fold card with an unexpected opening!

Measurements:
Gorgeous Grape 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″
Cut the front card panel at 2 1/8″ mark from
the 5 1/2″ score line to the end of the paper
then cut along the 5 /12″ score line to the
top edge of the card-
this will cut the top half of the card front
flap off.
Basic White 4″ x 5 1/4″ and 1 7/8″ x 5 1/4″
scraps for sentiment and flower focal piece
DSP 2″ x 5″

Fold the card at the 5 1/2″ score line and place the front of the card at the top end of the paper cutter. Cut the front card panel at 2 1/8″ mark from the 5 1/2″ score line to the end of the paper then cut along the 5 /12″ score line to the
top edge of the card – this will cut the top half of the card front flap off. See photo below.
Take the 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock and stamp the inside sentiment in the lower right third of the piece. Adhere to the back of the card base.
Adhere the Designer Series paper to the top half of the Basic White layer leaving an even 1/8″ border around the sides and top.
Run the 1 7/8″ x 5 1/4″ layer of Basic White CS through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder and adher to the lower front flap. Stamp a focal point – here I used the flower and leaves from the Happiness Abounds stamp set. Color with Stampin’ Blends – I used Highland Heather and Mossy Meadow.
Die cut the flowers and leaves, stamp the front sentiment and die cut twice with consecutive square dies from the Stylish Shapes die set.
Twist the consecutive squares 90 degrees and adhere together to create an interlocking square and diamond shape.
Adhere the lower portion of the front sentiment piece to the dutch door section of the card front.
Adhere the colored flower to the left of the sentiment focal piece.
Tuck and adhere the leaves under the flower image.
Her is the card with the dutch door swung open!
Add the Glimmer Dots to the card front to finish off this dutch door fun fold card with a little sparkle. Special thanks for the inspiration from fellow demonstrator, Cindy B.

Hoping this inspired you to try this easy to do fun fold, pull out some of your favorite DSP and stamps and go create some art of your own – one stamp at a time!

Happy Stampin’
