These cards are the perfect example of what makes stamping and this community of crafters so special. A few years ago, a new customer named Shirley got in touch with me through my Stampin’ Up! webpage. Her former demonstrator could no longer come out to her home where she hosts a monthly crafting meeting called the Crafter’s Den. I told her I would love to come out and meet her ladies and bring a project to do once a month – well I didn’t make every meeting but I gained the honor of getting to know and crafting with the nicest group of ladies – ones that I will miss greatly as we move to the other side of Pennsylvania today! A few weeks ago they hosted a going away party for me and they cards that they crafted were so filled with their very best creativity and love that it reminded me of why I started doing this business and this craft over 20 years ago! A card can move you, can convey a million little things and one overwhelming sentiment all at once! you made an impact on someone else’s life and they cared enough to take the time to make something lovely and beautiful just for you! Ladies I will miss you and I promise I will be back – thank you for your orders but mostly for your friendship – given freely and accepted with gratitude!
We leave today for a new life and adventure on the Lake – while we are excited for this new adventure, it is always sad to leave the life we have built here.
Thank you for the going away party, for all the wonderful memories in the Den, for all of my current customers and past, for those that have asked to remain with me even from afar and those that will not – I hope you all continue to craft and remember me as I will you – with fondness and great memories!
