It’s another swap drop! This time it’s the Spring addition from February and it is full of delightful flowers and spring time themes!

The first swap card comes from Susan W. and features the Online Exclusives Paradise Garden suite of products with the gorgeous Garden Poetry DSP and coordinating hybrid folder, dies and stamp set. Such a pretty card!

My next swap card comes from Denise W. features the Floral Charm Online Exclusive DSP and the Labeled with Love Punch that is on the LAST CHANCE LIST #163569 and is on SALE for $12.50 from the original $25!
Carol S’s swap card features a lovely Spring Basket from the Easter Basket bundle. The dies are sold out but the stamp set is still on the LAST CHANCE LIST for $13.30 from original price of $19! The background features the DSP and the Forever Plaid 3D embossing folder.
This Friendly Foliage card by Marie W uses the Everyday Arches dies in Soft Seafoam. Fresh Freesia and Basic White with the Flowers in Bloom DSP as a background! The Shades of Green Hexagons embellishments are on the last chance list and on sale at $6.40 from the original $8.
This next swap card from Jeanna T uses the Sunshine and Tulips bundle in lovely shades of Gorgeous Grape, Lemon Lime Twist and Daffodil Delight. This is also on the LAST CHANCE LIST only the stamp set is still available at $12.60 from the original price of $18!
Judith P’s swap card uses the Brushed with Beauty DSP which is still a current offering even though the stamp bundle is retired!
This Spring card features the Hearts of Love 3D embossing folder in Peach Pie cardstock and the Easter Basket stamp set and DSP. The DSP is sold out but the stamp set is still available!
Denise W’s springtime card uses the Lovely and Beautiful DSP and vellum and the Exploring Nature stamp set for the sentiment. The Stamp sets and dsp are retired now but still great for inspiration!
Homemade Sweetness suite of products was used by Judi M for this next swap card and the Ladybug Picnic 3D embossing folder provides the rich background for this sweet card.
Ginger S’s card uses the Flower Fair stamp set in monochromatic and colored tones of DarlingDuckling, Timid Tiger and Azure Afternoon on this lovely card. It also uses the Exploring Nature for the sentiment.
The last swap card is a fun fold tower card by Lori V using the sold out Easter Basket DSP and dies with the still available Easter Basket stamp set. Great design!

I am getting caught up on past posts after an insane Spring and I am just starting to come up for air so this is a BONUS post this week!

Today’s color challenge features three of the five NEW 2026-2028 In Color collection – Golden Glow, Hydrangea Hue and Crisp Cantaloupe.

This easy card uses a blended water splatter technique background.

Measurements:
BASE: Hydrangea Hue CS 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Basic White CS: 4″ x 5 1/4″ scrap for banner die
DSP: 3″ x 3″, (2) 2″ x 2″

Take the Basic White layer and a blending brush and color the top third with Golden Glow ink.
Color the middle third with a new blending brush and the Hydrangea Hue ink pad.
Color the bottom third with a new blending brush and the Crisp Cantaloupe ink pad.
Take the large water painter brush and squeeze out a large puddle of water onto the glass matte studio surface – tap the end of the brush to drop water sprinkles over the surface of the blended background layer. The water sprinkled on the surface will lift the ink and create a splattered background technique. This distresses the paper layer in a unique way – different every time you do it!
Adhere the splattered blended layer to the Hydrangea hue card base.
Die cut the banner dies in three sizes with each of the colors – Golden Glow, Hydrangea Hue and Crsip Cantaloupe from the 2026-2028 In Color 12″ x 12″ DSP pack. Pick different patterns in the three different colors and die cut.

Adhere them with the largest banner in the upper center of the card base. Then adhere the two other smaller banners to the left and the right side overlapping and matching up the top edge to be even with the center banner.

Punch out two of the butterfly images from the NEW Floral Flight Accents embellishments and adhere them over the banners.
Die cut the shorter, thicker banner from the Stylish Shapes die set and stamp the “fluttering by to say hi” sentiment from the All Aflutter stamp set in Hydrangea Hue ink. Blend the edges with a blending brush.
Pop up the sentiment piece on Stampin’ Dimensionals and place in the bottom center of the card front.
Add three 2026-2028 In Color Dots around the sentiment to complete this easy and fun card.

Try using this technique to make a background and create some artwork of your very own using this background and the stamps you have at home – one stamp at a time!

I love card sketches!

This one is so versatile! Card Sketch #122 is the next card sketch in our series. I have turned the sketch on it’s side for a little variety. I turned this one into a fun fold.

Measurements:
BASE: Strawberry Slush 5 1/2″ x 8 1/4″
scored at 1″ and 4 1/4″
Basic White CS: 4″ x 5 1/4″, scrap for punch and
die, 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ strip
Vellum: 3/4″ x 5 1/2″

Adhere the 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White layer into the inside of the card base.

Fold back the 1″ panel on the card front.

Adhere the vellum to the upturned panel.
Adhere the 1/2″ strip under the panel and then adhere the panel down.
Punch the Rounded Rectangle punch out of a scrap of Basic White CS.

Stamp the “thank you” from the Scalloped Blooms Bundle in the Black Hybrid ink pad. Blend the edges with a blending brush and Strawberry Slush ink. Pop up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Die cut the large leaf die from the Nature’s Symphony die set from a Basic White scrap.

Adhere to the front of the card over the vellum panel.

Pop up the sentiment over the leaf die.

Add some In Color Flat Pearls to finish off this easy lovely Sketch card.

Try turning a sketch on it’s side or change the dimensions of the elements – the possibilities are endless! Now it’s your turn to create some artwork – one stamp at a time!

Have you noticed those new sheets that come in some of our recent Designer Series Paper packages that have multiple images printed on one side of the DSP? Have you ever wondered what in the world to do with it or decided to just use the “B” side? Todays’ More Color Mondays features that sheet in the Waterside Retreat DSP package and the cards I made from that sheet and the stamp set ONLY!!

Stamps, Ink and Paper – Simple Stamping at it’s finest!

Here is the sheet whole and cut apart:

For the first card I used the image in the lower right hand corner of the DSP, mounted it on Pool Party cardstock used the B side of the fisherman image in the upper right hand of the DSP and added a 1/2″ strip of Crisp Cantaloupe for the sentiment! I added two Crsip Cantaloupe In COlor Dots and this stunning EASY card is complete!
Card #2 used the center dock image and I cut it to 4″ x 5 1/4″. I saved the top sky piece to use on the next card as it’s sentiment piece as I did with this card! I stamped a seagull in Pecan Pie ink on the sky portion of the DSP and mounted it to the Pecan Pie card base.
I stamped the “Today is your day” sentiment from the Relaxing Waterside Bundle in Pecan Pie ink and mounted small strips of Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock to edge the sentiment piece. I added Crisp Cantaloupe dots to finish!
My third card used the cabin from the upper right-hand corner mounted on Pecan Pie cardstock and torn at the bottom edge. Mount this onto a Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock base and I added a the strip from the top edge of card #2 for my sentiment. I added the Crisp Cantaloupe dots as well to this card. Simple and complete!
On a Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock base I added Pool Party and Pecan Pie scraps behind two rectangles from the DSP and a Stylish Shapes circle for the sentiment popped up onto Stampin’ Dimensionals with dots for the embellishments.
For my next card I used a Pecan Pie base and the Ice Cream shop image witha rectangle of striped B side DSP. I angled both and added a sentiment onto a Stylish Shapes square die with dots for the finishing touch!
I took the four vintage pieces and added matte layers to three of them and layered them for a collage look. I added the medium banner die from the Stylish Shapes dies set in Pool Party CS and Pecan Pie ink for the sentiment piece. I cut the banner edge off one side and popped them up and diagonal edges. I added the In Color dots to finish off this collage card!
My last card uses the top middle image and cut 1/2″ off the image. I also cut a 1/2″ strip off the bottom of the card front and added the strip I cut off the beach image on the “B” side with stripes to the inside bottom of the card base. I mounted the beach image to the top panel and added a sentiment to the left hand bottom corner of the beach image. I finished it off with the Crisp Cantaloupe dots and the set is complete!

I wanted to show you all a copy of the card that inspired Wednesday’s torn DSP card. Unfortunately like I said in the post the other day I cannot give proper credit because when I tried to go back to find the inspiration card post I could not find it.

This is the same technique I used for Wednesday’s card only using the Nature’s Walk Suite of Products and it makes a gorgeous Masculine card!

Measurements:
BASE:Early Espresso CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Basic White CS: (2) 4″ x 5 1/4″, scrap for die
cutting
DSP: different 4″ strips of coordinating DSP
does not need to be from the same package

Die cut the larger leaf die from the Nature’s Symphony die set out of the lower right-hand corner of one of the 4″ Basic White layers.

Cut a smaller square from the Stylish Shapes dies set from a Basic White scrap for the sentiment piece. I stamped the You Make Me Smile in Early Espresso on the square die and blended the edges with a Blending Brush.

Tear strips from the 4″ DSP pieces about 1/2″-3/4″ wide.
Adhere to the other 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White layer as done in Wednesday’s post.
Cut a 1″ strip off gthe left-hand side of the torn DSP layer.
Adhere the 1″ strip to the left-hand side of the die cut Basic White layer.
Since this die is more intricate, turn over the layer and glue all around the leaf cut out and the right hand side of the die cut layer to adhere the other DSP piece to that side. Place the DSP layer DSP facing what will be the front and make sure that the DSP is the same pattern direction as the 1″ strip before securing it down. This creates the illusion of the DSP flowing through the paper!
Adhere the layer onto the Early Espresso card front and then pop up the sentiment square.
I added some retired cork embellishments to finish off the card with a masculine vibe!

Today’s blog post is a clever way to use Designer Series Paper scraps! I saw a version of this card last week and forgot to write down where and of course today’s search came out empty – this is my case and I wish I could give credit for the inspiration –

Measurements:
BASE: Blueberry Bushel CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Basic White CS: (2) 4″ x 5 1/4″, scrap for die
cutting
DSP: different 4″ strips of coordinating DSP
does not need to be from the same package

Tear strips about 1/2″- 3/4″ wide and 4″ long from coordinating DSP.
Start to adhere a strip at the top of one of your 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White layers that has a straight edge at the top.
Adhere pieces over the top piece of DSP with the white torn edge facing up and exposed. Also pay attention to the paper if there is a directional pattern – you do not want to finish gluing your paper only to discover your pattern for one or more pieces are upside down! Finish with a piece that has a straight edge at the bottom – although you can always turn the 4″ Basic White layer over and cut to the end of the paper.
Cut one inch off of the DSP torn adhered piece from the left hand edge.

Die cut an image that will take up about 2/3rds of the bottom corner of the right-hand side of the second Basic White layer. Save the die for another use! We are using the layer and the negative space for this card.

Adhere the 1″ piece to the front left-hand edge of the die cut Basic White layer. Then turn the layer over and glue the right-hand side around the negative die space and above and adhere the other torn DSP piece so that the torn paper shows through the negative space die hole.
Stamp your sentiment from the Filled with Sweetness stamp set in Blueberry Bushel ink at the top of this Basic White layer.
Stamp the strawberry and blueberry images in Tuxedo Black memento ink which is available at a discount on the LAST CHANCE LIST as it is discontinuing and we have a new hybrid ink pad – which I am anxiously awaiting it’s arrival!
Color the fruit in with Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers – if you have never used these you should try them they are one of my FAVORITE coloring tools! The alcohol allows for seamless blending!
Adhere the torn DSP layer onto a Blueberry Bushel card front,
Die cut out the fruit and pop up the fruit around the sentiment.
Adhere embellishments around the sentiment and this clever way to use DSP card is complete.

Try this technique with your stash of DSP and see what possibilities you can create – one stamp and lots of DSP at a time!
