block stampin’ with water based markers

Today I will be showing you how to create another type of background, using water-based Stampin’ Write Markers, we sell an awesome set of markers called Many Marvelous markers (#147154) (all 40 colors plus black in a sturdy carrying case plus space for extra In Color Markers!) and they last a very long time I’ve had many of mine for years, an acrylic block (I used an E block – #184484) and a water filled Stampin’ Spritzer(#126185)!

Using a Basic White cardstock 4′ x 5 1/4″ (#159276) as a pallette I created the water color background for the card.

I started with a rainbow palette of colors of the Stampin’ Write markers. I started with the Daffodil Delight yellow in the center (I actually grabbed a retired color for the yellow – pineapple punch and the green – Call Me Clover by accident!) , added Pumpkin Pie orange just above the yellow and then Lovely Lipstick (another retired color-OOPS!) and Real Red above the pink.

I added green below the yellow and then Pacific Point and Gorgeous Grape.

I sprayed the block of color with water from a Stampin’ Spritzer.

Place the sprayed side down on a 4″ x 5 1/4″ and press the acrylic block down on the paper! (like it’s a stamp!)

Set the cardstock aside to dry! Then they are ready for you to create with!

I used the waterfront stamp set to complete this card, tree stamp in the foreground in Tuxedo Black Momento Ink(#132708), and the sentiment. I stamped the circle stamp for the sun in Crushed Curry ink (#147087) and mounted it all on Just Jade Cardstock (#153079) and finished the card off with the Just Jade In Color ribbon (#153621). I distressed the left side of the Basic White cardstock for a little visual interest!

I used the Ridiculously Awesome Stamp set (#152512) in Tuxedo Black Momento ink (#132708) and adhered two butterfly dies from the Butterfly Wings die set(#155523). Mounted this on Just Jade cardstock (#153079) and added the Pool Party Sheer ribbon (#152462).

I used the Sailing Home stamp set (#149457) to create this card above.

I used the Tuxedo Black Momento ink (#132708) on this background with the To A Wild Rose stamp set (#149452) to create the card below!

I used the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp set (#154368) in Gray Granite ink (#147118), and stamped the sentiment in Poppy Parade ink (#147050) and mounted the water colored piece on a Blushing Bride cardstock (#131198) piece die cut with the largest rectangle from the Rectangle Stitched dies set (#148551) and popped that up on Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430) and popped up some of the seashells with mini Stampin’ Dimensionals(#144108)!
