There are many ways to make an accordion fold and here are two ways to make this easy card!
The first way to make this fold is to select a
12″ x 12″ piece of double sided coordinating designer series paper. Cut at 5/12″.
Here I used the Harvest Meadow DSP and scored it at 7 3/4″, 4 1/4″, and 1 3/4″. Fold into a valley fold at the first score line and mountain fold at the second score line and another valley fold at the 1 3/4″ score line.
Because it is double sided coordinating paper you will be able to see both sides of the beautiful DSP that you pick to do this technique!
Cut three additional pieces 2 1/2″ x 5″, and 2 1/2″ x 4″ out of Basic White Cardstock and a piece of 2 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ of coordinating colored cardstock (I used Calypso Coral to coordinate with the DSP!
I stamped a sentiment and a splatter pattern onto the 2 1/2″ x 5″ piece and added it to the inside piece of DSP tucked into the left hand corner to hide it while the card is closed!
Attach the focal piece to the colored cardstock and adhere to the left side of the card front. Be careful to only adhere tape to the left side of the piece to attach to the far left top piece of the card front and nothing behind it!
Here is another sample using those dimensions but I added a 1 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of colored cardstock behind the DSP (this provides a pretty accent border and because I colored the flowers on the FREE Sale-a-bration DSP called Beautifully Penned DSP and the alcohol markers will bleed through so I added gthe layer to also hide that bleeding area!) I also cut a piece of colored cardstock to 4″ x 5 1/4″ to add to the back panel. I colored the flowers with light and dark Poppy Red and Granny Apple Green light and dark Stampin’ Blends markers.
The second sample uses a 5 1/4″ wide piece of 12″ x 12″ DSP, scored at 8″ x 5 1/8″ x 2 3/4″. Fold into an accordion. and mount the back page onto a 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ piece of coordinating colored cardstock.
The second way to make this accordion fold is to cut the DSP at 5 1/4″ x 12″ and score at 8″, 5 1/8″ and 2 1/4″. Fold in an alternating pattern and use the same dimensions as the above card for the focal center piece.

Mount the accordion to a quarter sheet of colored cardstock as the cardbase.

This sample uses the Quiet Meadow stamp set and the 5 1/4″ dimensions.
This fold is simple cut, score three times, fold and decorate! Hopefully this fun and simple WOW card inspire you to go out and create some beautiful art of your own – one stamp ata time!
