Did you know that if you buy just one package of Pearls Basic Jewels you can have a coordinating embellishment in every color that you have Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers?!
I love the new In Colors – and this year Stampin’ Up! opted for lots of lovely coordinating products like the In Colors Glimmer Paper (#159246) and the 2022-2024 In Colors Baker’s Twine (#159195) and the lovely 1/8″ Metallic Woven Ribbon in each of the new colors but what we do not have is pretty little embellishments, pearls or gems etc! And frankly I was missing them so since I have all of the new In Colors Stampin’ Blends I thought I would show you a trick and make some cards to show you the beautiful coordination it brings to any card!
Using the Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers I colored in Pearl Basic Jewels into each of the five new In Colors: Sweet Sorbet (#159224), Parakeet Party (#159220), Tahitian Tide (#159221), Starry Sky (#159222) and Orchid Oasis (#159223) Stampin’ Blends!
Next I made cards to show off my newly colored pearls!
Starry Sky is first up! I adhered a scrap piece of Smoky Slate (#131202) to the middle of a Basic White Cardstock base (#159276) and then a 4″ square piece of Sun Prints DSP (#158790). Added a sentiment from the Nature’s Prints stamp set (#158793) and the New In Color Starry Sky Metallic Ribbon (#159198) and the finishing touch is the hand colored Starry Sky Pearls – made by coloring the Pearls Basic Jewels with the Starry Sky Stampin’ Blends marker! So easy and so beautiful. Here is a close up of the pearls:
Sweet Sorbet was next up! I used a different image from the Nature’s Prints stamp set and stamped the fern onto Smoky Slate scraps and die cut with the coordinating dies Nature’s Prints die set (#158800). The sentiment is from the Nature’s Harvest set (#156495).
Tahitian Tide provides the beautiful blue background from the 2022-2024 In Color 6 x 6 DSP collection (#159253). The background die is cut from the Chic Die Set (#158815) and stamp bundle Nature’s Prints provides the rest of the stamps and dies (#158801) And the Tahitian Tide Pearls are a perfect compliment to this card!
I used a the left over cardstock from last week’s class with the same Versamark tone on tone technique but with a different stamp set, Paradise Palms (#157716). And the Parakeet Party and Sweet Sorbet pearls blend perfectly!
These in colors work so well together I combined the pearls I had left and took inspiration to create this three colored card in Starry Sky, Tahitian Tide and Parakeet Party along with all the matching Pearls!
