pleated prism fun fold

pleated prism fun fold

Inspiration can come from anywhere!

I often look at Pinterest, other demonstrators work and websites and Facebook and Instagram reels – this card popped up on my Pinterest board from a sideline demonstrator named Susan C. – thanks for the inspiration!

This card is called a pleated prism fun fold and starts with a 4″ square of DSP – grab one from your stash and follow along with me!

Measurements:
BASE: Old Olive CS: 4 1/4″ x 11 scored at 4 1/4″
scraps for two die cuts
Basic White CS: 4″ x 5 1/4″ and (2) 3 1/4″ x 5 1/4″
scrap for snowflake dies
DSP: 4″ x 4″

Emboss the three Basic White layers in the Forever Plaid 3D embossing folder.
Score the DSP piece at 2″ and then mark with a pencil at 3/4″, 1 1/2″, 2 1/2″, and 3 1/4″ on both the top and bottom of the DSP piece.

Score from the top mark at 3/4″ to the bottom mark at 3 1/4″.

Score from the top mark at 1 1/2″ to the bottom 2 1/2″ mark on the bottom.

Score from the top 2 1/2″ mark to the bottom 1 1/2″ mark.

Score from the top 3 1/4″ mark to the 3/4″ bottom mark.

Fold the score lines into a Valley-Mountain-Valley-Mountain-Valley so that the first middle and last scores are valley folds and the second and fourth lines are mountain folds. Use a bone folder to make all of the score lines crisp.

Using the Stampin’ Seal + and placing the tip of the fold on the center of the score line for the card base – run a line of tape from the Stampin’ Seal + on the outside flat edge opposite to the pointed edge – adhere the flat outside edge to the inside front of the card base.
Run a line of tape down the outside flat edge of the pleated prism DSP piece and close the back of the card base over the DSP mechanism. Rub on the outside of the card over where the tape is adhered to the card to secure the pleated prism DSP piece.
Take a scrap of Old Olive CS and stamp a sentiment from the Snowflake Kisses stamp set and die cut with the Textured Notes dies.

Die cut the line of small snowflakes from the Snowflake Kisses die set and place three Glue Dots on the die cut around the sentiment and adhere the snowflakes.

Take a second scrap of Old Olive and die cut the second largest square die from the Stylish Shapes die set and add some snowflake dies to the top corner.

Adhere the two 3 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ embossed layers on either side of the pleated prism DSP piece.

Adhere the Old Olive square die cut to the right hand side for a place to write.

Adhere the 4″ x 5 1/4″ embossed Basic White layer to the card front and pop up the Old Olive sentiment die piece in the center.
Add three Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the outside of the card to finish it off with a little holiday sparkle!

Try this easy fun fold with your stash and go create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!

hidden flap halloween card

hidden flap halloween card

I am not usually a Halloween-y girl but something about the Spooky Halloween Bundle caught my eye – adorable in it’s design I will use this in all my scrapbooking for my children’s pages that I am catching up on! and cute cards.

Today’s card is a hidden flap fun fold card and all of the easy to follow directions are below! Hope you try this easy fun fold card soon!

Measurements:
BASE: Pumpkin Pie CS: 4 1/4″ x 8 1/4″
scored at 2 3/4″
scrap larger than 2 1/4″ x 3 3/4″ for die cut
Granny Apple Green CS: 2 3/4″ x 8″
scored at 4″
Basic White CS: 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″
4″ x 5 1/4″
2 1/2″ x 4″
scrap for die cut figure
Basic Black CS: scraps for bat and house dies

Emboss the 4″ x 5 1/4″ and 2 1/2″ x 4″ pieces of Basic White cardstock with the So Swirly embossing folder.

Stamp the “Don’t Worry, Eat Sweets” sentiment on the smallest piece of Basic White CS. (I actually cut this photopolymer stamp in half instead of stamping one half and then the other – they are super easy to cut and piece back together when I want the longer straight saying in the future)

Score the Granny Apple Green layer in half at 4″ and adhere the stamped layer to the inside of this smaller card.

Die cut the smaller Pumpkin Pie layer with the Textured Notes die set and stamp the “No Tricks ALL TREATS” sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento ink across the top of the piece.

Adhere the So Swirly embossed pieces to the inside and front flap of the card.

Adhere only the top third of the Pumpkin Pie die piece to the middle of the front flap of the card.

Die cut the Haunted House die in Basic Black scrap and two bats.

Adhere the house and one bat flying over the house about 3/4 of an inch from the bottom of the Granny Apple Green front of the smaller card.

Adhere the smaller Granny Apply Green card to the inside So Swirly embossed layer.

Close the card and make sure that the Pumpkin Pie layer is evenly bordered by the Granny Apple Green layer below.

Stamp Happy Halloween sentiment in Pumpkin Pie ink on the inside flap of the card.
When the card front is closed the Granny APple Green card below should be evenly spaced under the Pumpkin Pie die cut on the front flap.
Die cut one of the super sweet “monsters” from this set and color with watercolor pencils and brush with water to blend the pencil color.

Pop up the focal figure on Stampin’ Dimensionals and place on the Pumpkin Pie die cut below the sentiment.

Add the Frosted Iridescent Dots from the upcoming mini catalog release – available next week to the card front and this adorable Halloween card is finished!

This is a simple fun fold card and I hope you try it with your stash soon – now go and create some artwork of your very own one stamp ata time!

pressed flowers color mask card

pressed flowers color mask card

Sometimes you just need a pretty and simple birthday card and the summer is prime birthday season for my BIG family – so I need lots of cards! This card fits the bill all around – fast and easy but stunning in it’s simplicity!

Welcome to the new Pressed Flowers embossing folder (#165614) is part of the new Online Exclusives Floral Impressions Suite. It is a regular embossing folder and so sweet and simple.

Measurements:
BASE: Basic White CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″, 4 1/4″ x 51/2″ piece,
4″ x 5 1/4″ and 2 scraps for die cuts

That’s it! I told you this one was simple!

Take the Basic White layer and run it through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine using the base plate #1 and sandwich the folder between two cutting plates #3’s and run through!

Take a Basic White scrap and cut one small butterfly die from the Beautiful Butterflies die set and the long thin banner die from the Stylish Shapes die set.

Color the butterfly using Petunia Pop ink and a blending brush.

Take the 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ quarter sheet of cardstock and die cut the fourth from the smallest rectangular die from the Textured Notes die set (save the die for another use).
We will be using the negative space created by the die cut.

Place the negative die cut directly on the embossed layer and color with a blending brush and Coastal Cabana ink on the top right hand corner inside the negative space.

Color the lower half diagonally from the top left corner to the bottom two corners with Petunia Pop ink and a blending brush slightly overlapping the Petunia Pop over the previously colored Coastal Cabana.
Remove the negative die space mask from the embossed layer.
Tie and knot a length of Petunia Pop ribbon around the embossed layer.
Adhere the ribbon embossed layer onto the card front with even borders.
Pop up the small butterfly die onto the upper right edge of the colored area.
Stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment image in Petunia Pop ink onto the Stylish Shapes banner die.

Lightly color the banner with the Petunia Pop blending brush without re-inking it so you get a subtler color on the sentiment piece.

Pop up on Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and place on the lower portion of the card slightly above the ribbon.

Place three coordinating 2024-2026 In Color Flat Pearls to the card to finish this easy birthday card! Now time to mail it off!

It’s your turn to make a cute and easy birthday card – try your hand at this negative space masking technique with things you have in your stash! Now go and create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!

extraordinary flora with love card

extraordinary flora with love card

Today’s card features the new Extraordinary Flora Bundle from pages 84-85 in the new 2025-2026 Annual Catalog. One main stamped image stamps 16 different flora images in one go and then a large coordinating die cuts them all out at once with a single run through of the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine! BRILLIANT!

Measurements:
BASE: Strawberry Slush CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″, 3 1/2″ x 5″ for die cutting
Basic White CS: 4″ x 5 1/4″ , 3″ x 4″ for die cut,
4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ for stamping and die cutting

Stamp the large flora images in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on the 1/4 sheet of cardstock (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″)
Color the images with Stampin’ Blends: I used Strawberry Slush, Timid Tiger, DArling Duckling, Lemon Lime Twist and Soft Sea Foam.
This die cuts all of the flora images at once!
Emboss the 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White layer with the Dotted Circles 3D embossing folder.

Adhere to the Strawberry Slush card base.

Die cut the 3 1/2″ x 5″ piece of Strawberry Slush card stock and die cut with the second largest Textured Notes dies.

Wrap the Strawberry Slush ribbon around the die cut cardstock and tie a knot.

Pop up this layer on Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhere to the middle of the embossed layer.

Take the small Basic White layer and die cut with the Everyday Arches die set and stamp in Strawberry Slush ink the With Love sentiment and the lines on the arched die cut.
Pop up this die with Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhere over the ribbon.
Arrange the floral dies around the arched die cut and when satisfied adhere down to the card. I tucked some under the arched die, adhered some directly on to it and then popped up one as well -this creates extra depth and dimension having the flowers at differing levels!
I added three Strawberry Slush 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls around the sentiment to finish off the card with a sparkly coordinated embellishment!

This is a fun bundle – try this soon! If you have a set with tiny images try arranging them around a die cut in various layers and levels to create some visual interest! No go and create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!
