Today’s card sketch is a fun one to use with strips of colored paper, Designer Series paper or strips colored by hand – the possibilities are endless!

I choose the new Online Exclusive bundle Spooky Halloween, and the coordinating Spooky Sweet DSP.

Card Sketch #111 Measurements:
BASE: Granny Apple Green CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Basic White CS: 4″ x 5 1/4″ embossed
scrap for sentiment piece and critter stamp
Basic Black scrap for bat dies
DSP: (2) 3/4″ x 4″
(2) 1″ x 4″

I embossed the 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White layer with the Dotted Circles 3D embossing folder with the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine using the BASE plate #1 and the Embossing Plate #4.

I cut the Basic Black scrap with the bat die using the BASE plate #1, the Thin Die Adaptor #2 and the 2 cutting plates #3.

Adhere the Basic White embossed layer to the Base card.
Arrange the DSP strips on the upper half of the card and adhere over the embossed layer in a pleasing pattern.
Stamp the critter in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and the sentiment on scrap pieces of Basic White CS. Die cut the critter and cut the sentiment piece to size.
Adhere the critter to the left-hand side of the DSP arrangement.
Adhere the two bat dies overhead.
Using a blending brush and Granny Apple Green ink blend color onto the edges of the sentiment piece and pop up onto Stampin’ Dimensionals – adhere to the lower right-hand side of the card front.
Adhere embellishments off to finish the card – the suite comes with the coordinating DSP and the sweetest star embellishments!

I just may be converted to a Halloween card girl – LOL still not the biggest fan of the holiday but these cards are just too cute!!

Today is another card sketch to get your creative juices flowing! Card Sketch #108 – let’s see what you cane create with this sketch!

This card uses the Beautiful Bokeh Suite with the gorgeous Beautiful Butterflies bundle and the Pastel Ombre Glimmer paper which creates a beautiful sparkling butterfly!

Measurements:
BASE: Fresh Freesia CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
scrap for the large butterfly detailed die
Beautiful Bokeh DSP: 2″ x 5 1/4″
Basic White CS: 2″ x 5 1/4″
scrap for the Stylish Shapes banner die
Pastel Ombre Glimmer paper: scrap for the
solid butterfly die and the butterfly body

Emboss the Basic White 2″ layer with the Beautiful Butterflies hybrid embossing folder.
Adhere the 2″ DSP layer to the left-hand side of the card front.
Die cut the detailed large butterfly die in Fresh Freesia CS.
Die cut the butterfly body and the solid butterfly die from the Pastel Ombre Glimmer paper.
Adhere the butterfly pieces together – solid piece on the bottom, detailed butterfly piece over that and then the glimmer body over both.
Adhere the Basic White embossed layer to the right-hand side of the card front.
Pop up the butterfly on Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhere to the center of the card front.
Stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set in Highland Heather ink and blend the background with a Blending Brush and Highland Heather ink.
Adhere the sentiment in the lower right-hand corner on Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Adhere the Holographic Resin Dots tot he card front to add a little sparkle to finish off this easy sketch card!
I hate to waste any of the pretty Glimmer Paper so I cut out some of the smaller butterfly die cuts and added one to the card at the end!

Today’s card was a card I designed for last month’s library card class and haven’t posted.

This card uses the Memorable Blooms bundle and even though this stamp set has floral and foliage images and would normally lend itself to very feminine cards but this more masculine card uses the leaf sprig from the Memorable Blooms die set in neutral colors.

Measurements:
BASE: Very Vanilla CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
scrap for die
DSP: (2) 3/4″ x 3″ from Naturally Gilded
Specialty paper
(2) 3/4″ x 3″ from the Gold Foil Specialty
paper
Window Sheet: 3″ x 3″

Glue the 3/4″ x 3″ Naturally Gilded Specialty Paper to the top of the Window Sheet.
Glue the 3/4″ x 3″ Golf Foil Specialty Paper to the bottom of the Window Sheet.
Glue the last two Specialty Paper strips to the middle of the Window Sheet spacing evenly.

Place the Window Sheet square in the upper middle of the card and stamp the sentiment below the square in the lower 1/3 of the card in Wild Wheat ink.

Pop up the Window Sheet with Stampin’ Dimensionals strategically placed under the Specialty paper strips so that they do not show.
Adhere the square over the sentiment with the Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Place the Neutral Adhesive-Backed Sequins around the sentiment.

Adhere the die cut over the left-hand side of the popped up square.

Merry Christmas to all my family, friends and followers! By Christmas day after making loads of Christmas cards for customers and family and friends on my list I am ready for something different!
Today’s blog post is all about extending the stamps you have in your collection and using them in out of the box ways! The stamp bundle I picked today is an Online Exclusive suite called Seasons of Green and Gold that reminds me of the Christmas season with its boughs of Green and accents of gold foiled specialty paper. Instead of using the suite in a traditional manner to make a Christmas season card I used it in it’s golden hues only to make a card suitable for an anniversary or wedding.
I assembled the card based on one of the layouts featured in our 2024 Annual Catalog!

Measurements:
BASE: Basic White CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″ cut off 3/4″ off the left hand
side
scrap for large circle die
3 3/8″ x 4 1/2″ layer
Glimmer Paper: 3/4″ x 5 1/2″
DSP (3) 1: x 4 3/8″

Cut off 3/4″ off the edge of the left-hand side of the 5 1/2″ edge of the BASE.
Adhere the 3/4″ glimmer paper to the left-hand edge.
Adhere the 1″ strips to the gold-foiled Seasons of Green and Gold DSP to the layer of Basic White CS.
Adhere the layer on the base card overhanging the glimmer paper edge.
Stamp the foliage stamp in Wild Wheat.
Stamp the outline in Pebbled Path.
Stamp the large circle from the Stylish Shapes die set with the Friends for Life stamp set – stamp BEST in Wild Wheat on the upper portion of the circle, the wishes sentiment in Pebbled Path ink.
Adhere to the lower middle of the layer popping up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Adhere the Petal Pink foiled gems onto the circle die.

An elegant card and out of the box stamping.

Today’s More Color Monday features a diagonal card on card fun fold with Thoughtful Wishes Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Measurements:
BASE: Misty Moonlight CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Mossy Meadow layer: 3″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 8 1/2″
Thoughtful Wishes DSP: (2) 4″ x 5 1/4″ from 1
die cut a Thoughtful Wishes large foliage die
Wild Wheat CS: 2 3/4″ x 4″
Basic White CS: 2 3/4″ x 4″
scraps for large circle die from Stylish Shapes

Score the 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ card base at 4 1/4″
Cut diagonally from the top score line to the corner.
Cut the Specialty Designer Paper in half diagonally.
Adhere the top triangle to the top corner on the right hand side of the card base.
Adhere the lower triangle to the outside of the diagonal section.
Score the 3″ x 8 1/2″ piece at the 4 1/4″.
Adhere the Mossy Meadow CS to the upper center of the back of the card base.
Adhere the Wild Wheat CS piece to the front of the Mossy Meadow CS piece.
Adhere the Basic White layer to the inside of the Mossy Meadow piece.
Adhere the Specialty 3/4″ x 4″ piece onto the Basic White CS, and two thin Wild Wheat pieces.
Die cut one of the Specialty Papers with the large foliage die from the Thoughtful Wishes die.
Die cut from a scrap of Basic White CS the large circle from the Stylish Shape die. Stamp the sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink on the circle. Pop up the circle die onto the smaller card front.
Adhere the Thoughtful Wishes die onto the circle.
Add three blue Regal Foiled Adhesive-Backed Dots around the sentiment in the circle.
Now go and create some art work of your very own – one stamp at a time!
