corner in bloom sale-a-bration wedding card

corner in bloom sale-a-bration wedding card

Today’s blog post features a wedding card made with the Corner in Bloom Level Two Sale-a-bration stamp set. Typically a “corner” stamp set is traditionally used in well the corners LOL of the card! But today I am pivoting and using those corners stamped twice in a diamond design to form a lovely floral backdrop for the sentiment!

Measurements:
BASE: Gorgeous Grape CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Basic White CS: (2) 4″ x 5 1/4″ pieces
scrap strip for the sentiment

Emboss one of the 4″ x 5 1/4″ layers of Basic White CS with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder.
Stamp the smaller flower corner image in Tuxedo Black Momento ink and match up the open ends and stamp again creating a diamond shape with the two corner images.
Because Gorgeous Grape is such a deep hued purple we do not carry the Stampin’ Blends. The Highland Heather is the same hue but in a lighter shade so this is a wonderful compliment to this project. I colored all of the flower petals in Light Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends marker and then highlighted the centers and edges near the stem in Dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends marker.
I colored over the petal areas in Light marker and blended the petals for a more even look.
I colored the leaves in Dark Granny Apple Green and highlighted in Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends marker for a nice shaded look.
Adhere the embossed layer to the Gorgeous Grape base card.
Fussy cut the floral diamond out.
Using a Blending Brush and Gorgeous Grape ink pad highlight a diagonal area above to the right and below to the left where you will adhere the diamond image.
Adhere the floral image over the blended area.
I stamped the “lifetime of love” sentiment from the Linked Together stamp set from the 2025 January to April mini catalog release on a scrap 1/4″ strip of Basic White CS. Using a Paper Snip scissors I cut a banner edge on both sides of the sentiment and colored it with the Blending Brush and Gorgeous Grape ink. I popped it up on Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered it between the two corner images.
I added Purple Shine Shimmer Gems to finish off this easy and lovely card perfect for a Spring Wedding or an anniversary!
I also made one with Berry Burst Stampin’ Blends as an alternative coloring sample – Which do you like the Monochromatic (Highland Heather) or the Analogous (Berry Burst) Color design?

Try some out of the box stamping and use one of your stamps in an unexpected way! Now go and create some unexpected artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!

2 1/4″ x 5 1/4″

Forever Plaid DSP: 3/8″ x 5 1/2″

Emboss the front section of the base Crumb Cake card with the Soft Waves 3D embossing folder.
Adhere the Misty Moponlight CS layer to the top of the card base leaving about 1/2″ space from the fold.
I stamped the three seagull images across the 2 1/4″ Basic White layer in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and added the “I love you MORE than” sentiment above the seagulls on the left-hand side.
I started to color the wings in Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends markers.
Adhere the seagull layer to the Misty Moonlight layer on the card front.
Adhere the DSP strip below the Misty Moonlight layer as an accent piece.
I decided I wanted more color deviation in the wing stripes so I added a Basic Black strip in the middle of the wing next to the Smoky Slate colored edge of the wing.
I stamped the words French Fries in the center of the 4″ x 5 1/4″ inside layer in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and added the sleeve of fries image to the left-hand side and colored with Real Red and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends.

umbrella days – using designer series paper in piece work

umbrella days – using designer series paper in piece work

Crafting is such a satisfying past-time no matter what craft you love. I love stamping, paper-crafting and scrapbooking but others like sewing, painting or quilting to name a few… Although I have never quilted I have friends and customers that do and this technique today reminds me of quilting’s piecework practice!
Therefore I named it Paper Piecework technique I have seen it done before and I am sure other’s call it by different names but this is what it reminds me of creating a quilt from piecing different bits of cloth together is very similar to creating an image out of Designer Series Paper and other bits of paper!
This is today’s tutorial and card – I hope you enjoy it!

Measurements:
BASE: Balmy Blue CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
DSP: 4″ x 5 1/4″ scraps for the dies
Basic White CS: scraps for the stamps and die cuts

Stamp with Azure Afternoon ink the raindrops on the top half of the Beautiful Bokeh DSP and then adhere to the card base.
Stamp the sentiment on the left-hand side of the DSP below the raindrops.
Stamp the puppy and the smaller umbrella clad figure in Tuxedo Black Momento ink. Color the puppy with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends and the hands of the small child in Ivory blend, the jacket and pants in Pretty in Pink Stampin’ Blends, and the boots in Berry Burst Stampin’ Blends.
Stamp the small child image on the Blooms Impression DSP. Fussy cut the umbrella out of the stamped image.
Cut the puppy coat out of DSP as well.
Adhere the puppy coat over the body of the puppy.
Adhere the umbrella top over the umbrella stamped image on Basic White CS.
Adhere the puppy and umbrella images around the sentiment.
Adhere the Basic Rhinestone Jewels to finish off this piecework card – I love this technique – there are so many possibilities!

Try the piecework technique today and create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!

bloom impressions double panel z-fold card

bloom impressions double panel z-fold card

Today’s card is an easy variation on a simple Z fold fun fold card just by adding two layered panels you get an added look and lots of space to decorate and embellish!

Measurements:
BASE: Shy Shamrock CS: 4 1/4″ x 11″
scored at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″
DSP: 4″ x 5 1/4″ for inside BASE panel
and (2) 2 1/2″ x 4″ two left BASE panels
Melon Mambo CS: (2) 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″
Peach Pie CS: (2) 3″ x 4 1/4″
Basic White CS: (2) 2 3/4″ x 4″
scrap for large butterfly die

I grabbed a 4″ x 5 1/4″ scrap of Basic White and stamped the largest butterfly image from the new Beautiful Butterflies bundle in Memento Black ink.
I colored the butterfly with the Peach Pie and Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blends markers and then die cut the image.
PAPER SAVING TIP: Whenever you have multiple layers that will be adhered to a surface you can die cut from the middle and reduce the weight of the card and get extra embellishments and dies from the paper that would have been covered!
I die cut four detailed smaller butterflies from the Beautiful Butterflies die set from the middle of the Melon Mambo layers.
(HAPPY ACCIDENT: forgot that the front layer would only be half adhered! See the results at the end LOL!)
Adhere the panel layers together and decorate as you wish.

I die cut one of the Basic White layers with the lattice die from the new Linked Together bundle.

Then I adhered and stamped and decorated with the Beautiful Butterflies bundle!

I adhered the 4″ x 5 1/4″ DSP to the inside BASE panel then I adhered the two smaller DSP panels to the two smaller left BASE panels.
I adhered the inside colored cardstock layered panels to the center of the back BASE panel over the 4″ x 5 1/4″ DSP layer.
I adhered three Sunny Day Iridescent Dots Embellishments to the front layered panel and adhered it so that it covers the panel on the inside so it is a little surprise when you open up the card!
Make sure that you only place adhesive on the left side of the panel as half the panel will be hanging off the first Z fold panel!
I adhered one last detailed small butterfly die back into the area I die cut that I forgot would not be covered OOPS! but here is my HAPPY ACCIDENT – think it looks like I meant to do it!

Hoping you can turn all of your accidents into happy ones!

Sale-a-bration is in full swing and you can earn FREE merchandise or get an awesome deal on the Starter kit!
