january swap cards

january swap cards

January’s Demonstrator Swap was a choice between something from the Sale-a-bration 2025 mini catalog or the 2025 January to April mini catalog so I have a smattering of cards to show off today!

My first swap card features the beautiful work of our swap organizer, Denise W and features the Sale-a-bration DSP Fruit Salad, the Labeled with Love Punch and the Saying Hey sentiment stamp set.

The next Sale-a-bration offering is from Marie W and uses the Heart Shaped Level Two Reward Bundle plus the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder and the Everyday Arches dies in a combination of Moody Mauve and Summer Splash hues.
The last Sale-a-bration card I have received so far is from Vickie G and uses the popular Bloom Impressions DSP in a M fold fun fold sympathy card! The circle die is also embossed with the Starstruck Sale-a-bration Level One embossing folder reward!
Lori V’s swap card this month used the One More Year stamp set in a peek through fun fold design that also embossed the glass and bottle in clear embossing powder to make the “glass” shiny! So Clever!
This swap card from Veronica S used the Dotted Circle 3D embossing folder in Basic White for the background layer and a foreground of Marbled Elegance DSP from the Online Exclusives collection. The sentiment and punch are from the Hugs For Love bundle from the 2025 Jan to April mini catalog.
Andrea U’s swap card features the Beautful Bokeh suite of products with the Beautiful Bokeh DSP as the background for the Beautiful Butterflies bundle for the foreground and the hybrid embossing folder behind it all in Fresh Freesia cardstock!
This swap card from Michelle L. used the For the Books bundle to create a bookmark card.
This is a card and a gift in one!
Lyn L’s swap card features a sweet and simple card made with the Darling Dinos bundle perfect for a child’s birthday card!
Cheryl H’s swap card uses the Forever Plaid 3D embossing folder in Old Olive cardstock for the background and layering die cuts for the focal piece. Love the coordination this suite brings to the project!
My last swap card received so far is fromKathi D who embraced the motto send out no naked envelopes – her envelope is as sweet as her card! The Mixed Media Suite pairs well with the Beautiful Bokeh DSP for an elegant swap card!

corner in bloom sale-a-bration wedding card

corner in bloom sale-a-bration wedding card

Today’s blog post features a wedding card made with the Corner in Bloom Level Two Sale-a-bration stamp set. Typically a “corner” stamp set is traditionally used in well the corners LOL of the card! But today I am pivoting and using those corners stamped twice in a diamond design to form a lovely floral backdrop for the sentiment!

Measurements:
BASE: Gorgeous Grape CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Basic White CS: (2) 4″ x 5 1/4″ pieces
scrap strip for the sentiment

Emboss one of the 4″ x 5 1/4″ layers of Basic White CS with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder.
Stamp the smaller flower corner image in Tuxedo Black Momento ink and match up the open ends and stamp again creating a diamond shape with the two corner images.
Because Gorgeous Grape is such a deep hued purple we do not carry the Stampin’ Blends. The Highland Heather is the same hue but in a lighter shade so this is a wonderful compliment to this project. I colored all of the flower petals in Light Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends marker and then highlighted the centers and edges near the stem in Dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends marker.
I colored over the petal areas in Light marker and blended the petals for a more even look.
I colored the leaves in Dark Granny Apple Green and highlighted in Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends marker for a nice shaded look.
Adhere the embossed layer to the Gorgeous Grape base card.
Fussy cut the floral diamond out.
Using a Blending Brush and Gorgeous Grape ink pad highlight a diagonal area above to the right and below to the left where you will adhere the diamond image.
Adhere the floral image over the blended area.
I stamped the “lifetime of love” sentiment from the Linked Together stamp set from the 2025 January to April mini catalog release on a scrap 1/4″ strip of Basic White CS. Using a Paper Snip scissors I cut a banner edge on both sides of the sentiment and colored it with the Blending Brush and Gorgeous Grape ink. I popped it up on Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered it between the two corner images.
I added Purple Shine Shimmer Gems to finish off this easy and lovely card perfect for a Spring Wedding or an anniversary!
I also made one with Berry Burst Stampin’ Blends as an alternative coloring sample – Which do you like the Monochromatic (Highland Heather) or the Analogous (Berry Burst) Color design?

Try some out of the box stamping and use one of your stamps in an unexpected way! Now go and create some unexpected artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!

three angle designer series cards

three angle designer series cards

3 angled DSP cards are so easy and can vary with your imagination! Take a Basic White cardstock base and three sheets of cardstock and DSP and you have the makings of a quick and easy card that can vary as far as your willing to test it!
Measurements:
Thick White Cardstock (3) 4 1/4″ x 11″
scored at 5 1/2″
Basic White cardstock (1) 4″ x 5 1/4″
Dandy Designs (2) 4″ x 5 1/4″
scraps of White and a coordinating colored
cardstock
Take the 3 pieces of 4″ x 5 1/4″ pieces of paper
– make sure that the two pieces of DSP coordinate and different designs are facing upwards.
Make the first angled cut anywhere on the left side of the 5 1/4″ side and angle it into the bottom right hand corner.
Starting at the top right hand corner angle the paper to the desired angle and starting in the middle of the paper cut down to the edge of the paper and then reverse to the upper corner (do not start the cut at the point of the corner as you can crumple the corner edge)
You will now have three pieces of each type of paper.
Take the White cardstock and run it through a 3D Embossing Folder of your choice for a little depth and dimension. I used the Timeworn Type.
The angled cuts will match exactly because you cut them at the same time.
Alternate the three different pieces and get the base for three different cards!
Adhere the left corner piece to the matching corner of the card base.
Make sure to get the tape to the edges of each of the separate sections and adhere the top right hand corner piece to the card.
Adhere the bottom piece to the card base.
Die cut a matte out of coordinating colored cardstock (I choose Balmy Blue) and I die cut with the Layering Circles dies. Cut a smaller Basic White cardstock to fit inside the matte (I used the Stylish Shapes) Stamp an image and color with Stampin’ Blends. I used the Adorable Owls Sale-a-bration set and use the Bronze and Ivory blends and the Light Balmy Blue.
Adhere the stamped circle to the Balmy Blue matte and pop up the Owl on Stampin’ Dimensionals. Place White Glittered Organdy ribbon behind the popped up circle and adhere to the card where the three papers converge.
Add the new Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins to the card and a sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento ink to the lower right hand side and so cute you are done!
Try this with some of your own DSP or better yet put in an order and get some FREE Designer Series Paper out of the 2023 Sale-a-bration catalog.
The current hostess code is SWXBZUH9 and go out and create some art of your very own – one stamp at a time!
