triple slider card

A Triple Slider Fun Fold card is a fun way to show off the pretty On the Horizons DSP (#157768).

Measurements:

Blackberry Bliss CS 5 1/4″ x 11″
scored at 1 3/4″ and 3 1/2″ rotate 180
degrees and score again at 1 3/4″ and 3 1/2″
Sentiment matte 1 1/2″ x 2″
Fresh Freesia (1) 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
(1) 3″ square
Basic White CS (1) 3 3/4″ x 5″
(1) 2 3/4″ square
(1) 1 1/4″ x 1 3/4″
Designer Series Paper 3 3/4″ x 4 7/8″ cut into
three pieces 3 3/4″ x 1 5/8″

Score and burnish the four score lines on the base card. See photo below.
Add two lines of tape in the upper left corner – see pictures below)
Add one of the 3 3/4″ x 1 5/8″ on the top corner and then add tape to the bottom left on the same side as the top slider.
Place the two opposing sides together and there will be an open spot on the right panel and add adhesive.
Add the third 3 3/4″ x 1 5/8″ piece to the middle in between the top and bottom pieces.
Add the Basic White 3 3/4″ x 5″ to the middle base of the card.
Add adhesive to the back of the card base. Then add to the center of the Fresh Freesia 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ layer.
When cutting the Designer Series Paper – keep in order. Add the middle DSP piece in the center of the middle slider.
Add the top piece of DSP to the top slider but position it closer to the bottom of the Blackberry Bliss cardstock piece. even on the top and sides but closer to the middle piece of DSP than perfectly centered.
Add the last bottom piece of DSP closer to the top of the bottom slider cardstock – even on the sides and bottom but positioned closer to the middle piece of DSP.
stamp the sentiment pieces – I added the square pieces on the middle inside of the base piece and the smaller rectangular piece to the right hand edge of the middle slider – see photos below.
This card slides open and creates a 3 Dimensional card that can stand on it’s own. Fun, fun, fun! Try this and make some fun stamp art of your own – one stamp at a time!

three panel scenery z fold

three panel scenery z fold

New Horizons Designer Series Paper is so gorgeous that it seems a shame to cut it apart at all. The 3 panel scenery card is the perfect way to use this watercolor paper.

Base cardstock: Blackberry Bliss 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″ and 2 1/8″
New Horizons DSP 6″ x 6″ cut at 5 1/4″ at the
bottom
cut into three sections cut at 2 1/16″ and
again at 2 1/16″
Basic White Cardstock 2 1/4″ x 5 1/4″

Stamp onto the DSP.
Score the cardstock in half and half again at
4 1/4″ and 2 1/8″.
Score with a bone folder at both score lines.
Cut the DSP and adher to the first outside panel.
Adhere the second portion onto the middle section.
Adhere the third and fourth section.
Here is another sample with different dimensions.
2 1/8″ 2 1/8″ and Basic White section of 1 1/2″
all 5 1/4″ in length.

The scenic panoramic panels do this DSP justice. Do you have pretty scenic paper like this – try this technique! Hope this inspires you to create some art of your own – one stamp at a time.

scenery stepped panels card

scenery stepped panels card

Recently I saw a video done by a United Kingdom demonstrator, Jan B. detailing a beautiful card. Inspired by her design I decided to share my version. She called the card a Variegated Panel Card, my version is an A2 version and is a Scenery Stepped Panels card!

Measurements:
Basic white Cardstock for template creation
and sentiment piece
Basic Black for matte creations
Basic White or colored cardstock 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Basic White CS templates/ Basic Black CS
(2) 11/16″ x 1 13/16″ Cut two in Basic Black CS
(2) 7/8″ x 2 3/8″ Cut two in Basic Black CS
(1) 1 1/4″ x 3″ Cut one in Basic Black CS
New Horizons DSP
(2) 9/16″ x 1 11/16″
(2) 6/8″ x 2 1/4″
(1) 1 1/8″ x 2 7/8″
Enough Black and White CS for the sentiment
piece

On Jan’s card the panels touched and were interlinked and I chose to space them apart!
So after determining the measurements, I created templates for the panel sizes and them created separate pieces and a merged panel template as well. I created the merged panel by measuring the middle line through each sized panel and then lining up the middle line and tracing the merged size onto a scrap of Basic White CS.

The merged panel helps you to keep the scenery panels cuts consistent so that the panels are cut at the same levels.

Cut out the Black Merged piece and the DSP merged piece and then cut them into individual pieces.

Mount the DSP pieces onto there appropriate sized Mattes of Basic Black cardstock.
Mount the panels onto the base card (here I mounted the panels onto an Evening evergreen base cardstock which I embossed with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.) Lining up the scenery so it appears to be in line with the panel next to it.
Stamp a Sentiment and mount it onto a Basic Black cardstock matte as well, pop up on Stampin’ Dimensionals and add embellishments like Black and White Gungham ribbon and the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels which I am sad to say will be retiring – get them while you can plus any 2020-2022 In Colors that will be retiring as well!

Hoping this inspires you to go out and create a little art in your corner of the world – one stamp at a time!

artfully layered corner pop up fun fold card

artfully layered corner pop up fun fold card

Looking for an easy and different card to make and send out to someone special! This corner pop-up fun fold is just the ticket – easy and provides a fun pop up WOW factor as you open the card!

Measurements:
BASE:
Misty Moonlight 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Basic White 5 1/4″ x 4″ cut at a diagonal
scrap for the sentiment piece
Evening Evergreen scraps for die cut and
sentiment layer
DSP – I used a scrap of New Horizons for some
added green texture to the dies

Using a pen or pencil make a very small tic mark 2″ on either side of the 4 1/4″ score line.

Then fold the card inside out and make a tic mark 3″ down directly on the score line (mark from the same side you marked the 2″ marks)

PLace the tic marks on the cutting track of your Stampin’ Trimmer and using the lighter gray scoring blade, place the scoring blade on the tic mark at the score line and score from the 3″ tic mark to the end of the paper at the 2″ tic mark.

Do that on both sides of the score line – this will make three score lines converging at the middle score line at the 3″ mark – looks like a triangle with a line down the middle.

Fold the middle score line as a mountain toward the inside of the card and the two outside score lines in a valley fold.
Lay the Basic White cardstock on the card front and make a tic mark on the top right hand side of the layer 1/8″ from the angled fold and make a tic mark along the right side of the layer 1/8″ below where the angle meets the right edge of the paper and then cut both pieces with this diagonal cut.
Adhere one to the inside of the card.
Decorate the Basic White layer for the card front.
I stamped the open leaf stamp from the Artfully Layered stamp set and cut some leaf dies to decorate the front and inside pop up feature.

When adhering your pop up feature only place glue or adhesive on the portion of the die that will be attached to the bottom triangle and lay it flat face down on the card base and close the card and rub where the adhesive is to secure the pop up die cut to the angled pop up feature.

Adhere the front Layer to the card front and adhere the die cuts.
I layered a sentiment onto the card front and added Genial Gems for a little extra sparkle. I did two versions of this card – pictures are shown below of both versions.
This is easy – hope you try it! Go and make some art of your own today – one stamp at a time!

Add a sentiment like the FREE one you can earn with the purchase of this Suite plus a a few packs of paper and you are at the $100 subtotal for an order which qualifies for the Special Moments Sale-a-bration set used in many of these samples (this is a fantastic sentiments set for FREE during Sale-a-bration!

Here are just some of the designs in this stunning Designer Series Paper collection. 48 sheets – 4 each of 12 designs. New Horizons 6 X 6 DSP (#157768) coordinates with Polished Pink, Old Olive, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Misty Moonlight and Blackberry Bliss inks and cardstock!
This card uses a slightly different layout which I LOVE to use. Take a quarter sheet of colored cardstock 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ – this will be your base. Adhere a 8″ x 5 1/4″ scored at 4″ and adhered to the base piece. I cut a 1″ piece off the front of the Pear Pizzazz cardstock and adhered a 1″ x 5 1/4″ Basic white piece to the inside edge of the Pear Pizzazz Cardstock. I used a 3″ x3″ piece of DSP and mounted it onto a 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ piece of Evening evergreen cardstock and adhered the left side to the cardfront as shown. I stamped the sentiment from the Create with Friends stamp set added some new Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#158130) for a beautiful sparkly shine!
Another 3″ x 3″ DSP Section makes a simple card mounting the square onto Evening Evergreen Card stock and added the Iridescent Rhinestones on a Cinnamon Cider base with coordinating Evening Evergreen Open Weave ribbon to finish the card off!
The last card from this section of DSP is a 3″ x 6″ DSP cut to 3″ x 5 1/2″ adhered to the center of an Evening Evergreen Cardstock base and stamped in Tuxedo Black ink the sentiment from the new Sale-a-bration Sentiment stamp set Special Moments! This is as simple as it gets SIP – Stamps, Ink and Paper! Let this gorgeous DSP do all the heavy lifting!!
This DSP I cut the same as the last 2 3″ x 3″ pieces and one 3″ x 6″ cut down to 3″ x5 1/2″. The scene is already partially “watercolored” onto the paper. We are just finishing the scenes with sentiments and a few embellishments and stamps!
On Pear Pizzazz Cardstock base I used the 3″ x 5 1/2″ piece stamped with the tree and bird stamps from the On the Horizons stamp set. (#157779). I stamped the Relax sentiment from that stamp set and die cut with the Stitched So Sweetly dies (#151690) and Matte Black Dots!
On a Soft Sea Foam base I added a 2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Evening Evergreen embossed with the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder and mounted the DSP 3″ x 3″ piece onto a 3 1/4″ square piece of Calypso Coral CS and added it to the cardfront with some Green Holiday rhinestomes and some died Petal Pink ribbon.
Using the stamps from the After the Storm set I added the rays in Calypso Coral ink on the same color cardstock for a tone-on-tone effect. I stamped the small circle stamp from the Watercolor Shapes to make a sun first stamped in Crushed Curry and then rimmed in Calypso Coral and stamped directly onto the DSP then double mounted the DSP onto Crushed Curry and Basic White CS. I adhered the DSP directly to the Crushed Curry CS piece and then popped up that double layer onto the layer of Basic white and added it to the cardfront. I stamped the sentiment on the card front bottom and added a few Rhinestones.
The next 6″ x 6″ piece of DSP reminded me of a galaxy so I pulled out the To the Moonstamp set and stamped the next three cards with this stamp set!
Polished Pink base cut 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″. Stamped directly onto the DSP with the stars and sentiment in Blackberry Bliss and adhered to the center of the card front. Add some Rhinestones and Black Glittered Organdy ribbon and this easy card stuns with a quick and easy finish!
These two cards use the other 3″ x 3″ sections of the DSP and combine for three easy and pretty cards iwth Blackberry Bliss coordinating Cardstock.
At first glance this paper looks dark and moody but it makes four totally diverse cards out of one sheet of 6″ x 6″ DSP! The top half of the paper the sky is light and bright and makes two pretty cards for Birthday and thinking of you occasions.
The other two cards use the bottom half of the sheet of DSP that is darker and moodier in style and color – so these two cards were made into a Sympathy and a “hang in there” card! All beautiful and totally different!
This DSP is a best buy for this new catalog – it is one of those products that makes card making a breeze!
