Who says masculine cards need to be neutral or muted colors – this More Color Mondays color challenge card was made for a special birthday that is today in our family!

The Shell Collecting stamp set is a reversible stamp set – it contains 6 symmetrical stamps that can be reversed directly to be used as a two step stamping process and 2 other images that contain mirrored images of each other and you can use the flat sides of the mirror image for the reverse stamping for each of those stamps! So fun to be able to fill in the background without coloring – just ink it up and go!

Measurements:
BASE: Summer Splash CS: 5 1/2″x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″, 1 1/2″ x 4 1/4″
Basic White CS: 4″ x 5 1/4″, 1 1/4″ x 4″

I started on the corner of the Basic White CS layer with the conical shell in Petunia Pop – this is one of the two images that has two mirrored images I used the back of one and the front of the other image to two step stamp.

In the second photo I stamped the fill in portion of the conical stamp and also stamped the starfish which is a symmetrical stamp and is totally reversible on it’s own in Peach Pie ink.

I reversed the starfish on the acrylic block to the smooth side and stamped off once on my grid paper creating a lighter second generation stamping effect for the Peach Pie inked starfish.

Then I stamped the conch shell which has two mirrored images in the stamp set in Summer Splash ink.

I also stamped Happy Birthday from the January POM (Product of the Month) Fabulous Sayings in Summer Splash on the 1 1/4″ Basic White layer.

I took the flat side of the mirrored image conch shell and stamped off on grid paper two make the fill in lighter in Summer Splash ink.
I matted the happy birthday sentiment in Summer Splash CS.
I finished the 4″ x 5 1/4″ layer by stamped the entire surface with alternating colors and shell types.

Then I ran it through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine with the BASE #1 plate and the Embossing Plate #4 with the Soft Waves 3D embossing folder.

I adhered the 4″ x 5 1/4″ layer to the card base and the adhered the sentiment matted layer across the top third of the card. I added two silver Faceted Snowflakes around the sentiment to finish off the card!
Try one of our super fun reversible stamp sets today this one is amazing!

Now go and create some artwork of your very own one stamp at a time!

more color mondays – pecan pie, mossy meadow and granny apple green

more color mondays – pecan pie, mossy meadow and granny apple green

Today’s More Color Mondays Color Challenge made me think of a masculine nature card and there is a upcoming suite in the new January to April 2026 mini catalog that fit the bill perfectly!

The new Nature’s Walk Suite is gorgeous with a great stamp set and coordinating dies but also TWO fabulous new coordinating papers and I didn’t even use those for this card! But I will make something soon to SNEAK PEAK some of the other products in this suite!

Measurements:
BASE: Mossy Meadow CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Basic White CS: (2) 4″ x 5 1/4″
Granny Apple Green CS: 2″ x 4″, scrap for
sentiment
Pecan Pie CS: scraps for dies and under
sentiment

Building layers applies to many things in this project – not only physical layers but layers of color depth as in the first thing I did for this card. Instead of just die cutting the leaves die from a colored cardstock I blended color on one of the Basic White layers with Granny Apple Green and Mossy Meadow inks. Then I sprayed the layer with water to color lift and create some texture! Then I die cut multiple leaves to use on the card using every inch of the pretty paper I created even if it was only a leaf or two from the die!
I stamped the smaller leaf image in Granny Apple Green in opposite corners of the other Basic White layer. Then I stamped the speckled lines image in Mossy Meadow ink around the outside of the layer.

I blended Granny Apple Green around the edges and mounted it to the inside of the card base.

I stamped a sentiment on the upper center of the layer in Mossy Meadow ink from the Nature’s Symphony stamp set.
Then I started building the layers.

I added two log dies in Pecan Pie cardstock to the lower portion of the card front and started placing leaves around the card.

I stamped the two stamps from the inside layer of the card on a 2″ x 4″ Granny Apple Green layer and blended a little color on the edges, I added two strips for the sentiment and popped it up on Stampin’ Dimensionals over the Pecan Pie dies.
I added more leaf layers around the card and the sentiment.

I adhered five Shades of Green Hexagons around the card for some color coordinated embellishments!

I also stamped the speckled lines image in Mossy Meadow (truthfully I wish I had done this first as a background to add more depth under where the leaves are but I hopefully will think of that next time LOL!

I decided to add two more leaves to balance the sentiment piece on the left side.
I added some linen thread under the sentiment piece for a little more texture!

Remember when building layers you can always add if you feel it needs a little more “something” – that’s what building layers is all about – depth and texture!

Try to make a card building layers for that depth and texture – now go and create some art of your very own – one stamp – one layer at a time!

***Reminder this is a SNEAK PEAK from the upcoming January to April 2026 catalog available to customers January 6th so the photo links below will not have any sneak peak items listed.***

more color mondays – misty moonlight, secret sea and crumb cake

OOHHH!! I love the way this More Color Monday challenge card turned out! Beautiful strong masculine colors with fabulous Glimmer sparkle!

Measurements:
BASE: Crumb Cake CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″, 4″ x 5 1/4″
Misty Moonlight CS: 2″ x 5 1/2″
Secret Sea CS: 3 3/4″ x 4 1/4″
Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper: 1 3/4″ x 4″,
scrap for the stars
Basic White CS: scrap for die cut

Die cut the larger trees in the Secret Sea CS layer and the smaller trees out of the Misty Moonlight layer.

Place them on top of each other and adhere together.

Emboss the Crumb Cake layer in the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder.
Place the die cut strips on the embossed layer and cut off the excess on the Misty Moonlight layer. Adhere the small Misty Moonlight pieces cut off on the outside under and slightly above the Secret Sea layer.
Adhere the die cuts to the embossing layer and adhere to the base card.
Adhere the Glimmer Paper layer to the bottom of the card slightly overlapping the tree die cut layer.
Color the light blue Traditional Sparkling Sequins with the brush tip of the Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blends.
Cut the larger sentiment die cut from the Peaceful Gardens die set and stamp the sentiment from the Light & Wonder stamp set in Secret Sea ink. Adhere to the bottom of the card over the Glimmer layer and the bottom of the tree die cuts.

Place the colored sequins around the sentiment.

I finished the card by die cutting the triple star die in the Secret Sea Glimmer Paper – this Glimmer paper is so pretty and by placing the three stars in the sky above the trees there is sparkles on the bottom as well as the top of the card! It balances it out!

If you do not have some of our Glimmer paper it is one of those great accessories as far as paper goes – a little goes a long way to make your cards next level!

Now go and create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!

pleated prism fun fold

pleated prism fun fold

Inspiration can come from anywhere!

I often look at Pinterest, other demonstrators work and websites and Facebook and Instagram reels – this card popped up on my Pinterest board from a sideline demonstrator named Susan C. – thanks for the inspiration!

This card is called a pleated prism fun fold and starts with a 4″ square of DSP – grab one from your stash and follow along with me!

Measurements:
BASE: Old Olive CS: 4 1/4″ x 11 scored at 4 1/4″
scraps for two die cuts
Basic White CS: 4″ x 5 1/4″ and (2) 3 1/4″ x 5 1/4″
scrap for snowflake dies
DSP: 4″ x 4″

Emboss the three Basic White layers in the Forever Plaid 3D embossing folder.
Score the DSP piece at 2″ and then mark with a pencil at 3/4″, 1 1/2″, 2 1/2″, and 3 1/4″ on both the top and bottom of the DSP piece.

Score from the top mark at 3/4″ to the bottom mark at 3 1/4″.

Score from the top mark at 1 1/2″ to the bottom 2 1/2″ mark on the bottom.

Score from the top 2 1/2″ mark to the bottom 1 1/2″ mark.

Score from the top 3 1/4″ mark to the 3/4″ bottom mark.

Fold the score lines into a Valley-Mountain-Valley-Mountain-Valley so that the first middle and last scores are valley folds and the second and fourth lines are mountain folds. Use a bone folder to make all of the score lines crisp.

Using the Stampin’ Seal + and placing the tip of the fold on the center of the score line for the card base – run a line of tape from the Stampin’ Seal + on the outside flat edge opposite to the pointed edge – adhere the flat outside edge to the inside front of the card base.
Run a line of tape down the outside flat edge of the pleated prism DSP piece and close the back of the card base over the DSP mechanism. Rub on the outside of the card over where the tape is adhered to the card to secure the pleated prism DSP piece.
Take a scrap of Old Olive CS and stamp a sentiment from the Snowflake Kisses stamp set and die cut with the Textured Notes dies.

Die cut the line of small snowflakes from the Snowflake Kisses die set and place three Glue Dots on the die cut around the sentiment and adhere the snowflakes.

Take a second scrap of Old Olive and die cut the second largest square die from the Stylish Shapes die set and add some snowflake dies to the top corner.

Adhere the two 3 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ embossed layers on either side of the pleated prism DSP piece.

Adhere the Old Olive square die cut to the right hand side for a place to write.

Adhere the 4″ x 5 1/4″ embossed Basic White layer to the card front and pop up the Old Olive sentiment die piece in the center.
Add three Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the outside of the card to finish it off with a little holiday sparkle!

Try this easy fun fold with your stash and go create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!

more color mondays – real red, timid tiger and old olive sketch #103

more color mondays – real red, timid tiger and old olive sketch #103

Time really does pass by so quickly! Today I am on the road celebrating my baby’s 21st birthday and settling him into the New England area for a summer internship – it seems like just yesterday I was in labor with my last child!! Today’s More Color Monday’s color challenge features the new 6″ x 6″ Regals Designer Series Paper in Real Red and Old Olive and Timid Tiger.

This is a simple sketch combining colors that are on opposite ends of the color wheel close to a triadic combo using the Celebratory Sips Suite of products from the last Online Exclusives release.

Measurements:
Old Olive CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
DSP: 3/4″ x 5 1/2″and scraps for fussy cutting
Timid Tiger CS: 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
Basic White CS: 4″ x 5 1/4″ and scrap for
sentiment

The Celebratory Sips Suite comes with a very cool mini embossing folder combo pack
GLASS & GARDENS EMBOSSING FOLDER
– 2 embossing folders
– 3-3/8″ x 6-1/4″ (8.6 x 15.9 cm)
– Use with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (sold separately)
– Compatible with the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (sold separately)

I used the Glass embossing folder image on the Timid Tiger cardstock.

I adhered the Regals 6″ x 6″ designer series paper in Real Red striped pattern on the edges of the card front leaving about 1/8″ from the edges.
I adhered the Timid Tiger embossed layer to the middle on top of the Designer Series paper.
I stamped the 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White layer in Timid Tiger ink the Let’s Celebrate image in triplicate down the center of the layer and added a orange slice in the bottom corner.
Adhere this layer to the inside of the card.
I fussy cut a couple of cocktail images from the Celebratory Sips DSP and added the taller one directly to the Timid Tiger embossed layer and popped up the smaller cocktail glass to one side of the taller glass.
Cut about 6 inches off the Timid Tiger ribbon and fold in half and adhere to the left hand side of the fussy cut cocktail glasses images.
Stamp the sentiment Cheers in Timid Tiger ink and cut an angle at the end of the word, pop the sentiment piece up on Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhere over the ribbon.

Then I added 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls to finish off the coordinated look!

Try this card layout with your stash and see what you can create – one stamp at a time!
Enjoy your time as it goes fast – hug your little ones they grow up and tower over you quickly!!
