more color mondays – lemon lolly, berry burst and parakeet party

There are so many times that I take my inspiration from our fabulous artists at Stampin’ Up!
Today’s color challenge comes right from our new Online exclusives Designer Series Paper Delightful Floral that coordinates with the Translucent Florals bundle from the current September to December 2023 Mini catalog.

These color combinations are fresh and lively and I took three of them from the line up in this DSP to be this week’s color challenge in Lemon Lolly, Berry Burst and Parakeet Party!

Measurements:
BASE: Lemon Lolly 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 1 1/4″ and 4 1/4″
DSP (2) 1″ x 5 1/4″
(2) 2 3/4″ x 5 1/4″
white inside layer: 2 3/4″ x 5 1/4″

Adhere the 1″ x 5 1/4″ to the insde of the 1 1/4″ panel and the right hand inside of the card base.
Adhere the 2 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ piece to the middle inside panel just to the right of the first 1″ piece, as shown in the photo below.
Adhere the second 2 3/4″ piece of DSP to the outside larger panel, just to the left of the center score line.
Adhere the inside white layer to the left of the 1″ inside piece of DSP.

Stamp flowers from the Translucent Florals stamp set and die cut with the coordinating dies. Adhere a small floral die to the lower right hand corner of the Basic White cardstock piece.

Stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment on the center of the Basic White layer in Berry Burst ink.
Stamp in Lemon Lolly and Parakeet Party the leave stem and die cut.

Bend the first 1 1/4″ panel back on itself and add the leaf die cut below the panel.

Adhere the Floral die cuts and vellum die cuts to the top of the 1 1/4″ panel as a focal point.

Add Iridescent Rhinestone Gems to finish off this easy fun fold in this More Color Monday color challenge!

Try this color combination and create some artwork of your very own and share with us on today’s Facebook comment section!

Now go and create that art – one stamp at a time!

Today’s More Color Monday is all about Pool Party, Lemon Lolly and Soft Seafoam. I was looking for a color combination I would not normally pick out so I referred to our color coach and found this threesome and decided to try it out!
Measurements:
Base: Pool Party 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
Basic White layer: 4″ x 5 1/4″

I started with an E acrylic block and the three colors of ink pads. I added Pool Party to the top of the block.

I added Lemon Lolly to the middle.
I added Soft Seafoam ink to the bottom of the acrylic block.
I placed the block ink side up on a Silicone Craft sheet to protect my work surface and sprayed the acrylic block with plenty of water until the ink started to run together.
Lift the block and add the Basic White layer on the Silicone craft sheet, quickly invert the acrylic block and place in the center of the card stock and press firmly on all sides of the block.
Remove the block and allow the card stock to dry.
Each time you do this the outcome will be unique!
Stamp the three different grass stamps onto the bottom of the inked paper.
Stamp in Lemon Lolly the splatter stamped image onto the Lemon Lolly portion of the Basic White cardstock to add some depth and dimension.
Add the Sentiment – I choose one from the Waves of Inspiration and I also stamped a few birds from that set as well in Pool Party ink.
I die cut the cloud image on a scrap piece of Basic white and with a Blending Brush added clouds to the Pool Party section of the White layer which added more depth and dimension!
Using the edge of my Paper Snips I distressed the edges of the Basic White stamped layer.
I adhered the Basic White layer to the Pool Party card base and added Iridescent Rhinestones around the sentiment.
Here is another version using the Ombre Matte Decorative Dots for the embellishment.
I love these color challenges and hope that you are playing along when you can! Now go and create some art of your own – one stamp at a time!
