Today’s More Color Mondays color challenge combines some of the beautiful combinations of colors found in the new Online Exclusives mega suite Brushed with Beauty!

word and foliage dies
Petal Pink CS: 4″ x 5 1/4″
Basic White CS: scraps for petal dies

Emboss the Petal Pink CS layer with the new Online Exclusive Beautiful Patterns 3D Embossing Folder using the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine with the Base Plate #1 and the embossing plate #4.

Adhere the Petal Pink layer to the Darling Duckling layer and then adhere to the card base.

Adhere the DSP strips to the 2″ strip and adhere to the middle of the card front on top of the embossed layer.
Die cut the words Just Because from the Words of Beauty die set in Calypso Coral and Darling Duckling scraps and adhere the matte to the word die. Pop up the word dies on STampin’ Dimensionals and adhere to the bottom third of the card front.
The Petals of Beauty stamp set is a two-step stamping set and I stamped two flowers with Calypso Coral and Petal Pink and Calypso Coral combinations and adhered them around the word dies.

I die cut two foliage sprigs in Darling Duckling to tuck behind the flowers and words. I added three Pearls of Beauty coordinating embellishments to finish off this lovely card.

Check out this Suite of coordinating products if you like word dies and floral sets this is one to get!

boho vibes su creativity challenge

boho vibes su creativity challenge

Every month, Sara Douglas, Stampin’ Up!’s CEO challenges us with a creativity task – everyone can play along and this month’s challenge uses any of our alphabet sets!

On pages 106-107 in our current 2025-2026 Annual Catalog is a beautiful spread entitled “Customize & Personalize with Dies” and features our three current alphabet sets –

the Mini Alphabet Dies #162934 ($31.00) – this set is perfectly sized for customizing your cards small enough to fit onto a card front and designed as one die to cut all of your letters at once – How easy is that?

My personal favorite – the Alphabet A La Mode #160750 – ($42.00) this medium sized alphabet is your do it all work horse small enough for card making and large enough for scrapbooking – this set can do it all!

and new this year the Party Alphabet Dies – #165263 – ($99.00) these letters are about 2 1/4″ tall and add an eye-catching accent to any of your projects. This also comes in a bundle for $125.00 (#165265) with the Party Banner dies for a complete banner making package that will be the hit of your parties!

Today’s project uses the Sunshine Vibes bundle from the Boho Vibes Suite Collection in Fall colors for a great happy Fall card!

Measurements:
BASE: Basic White CS: 4 1/4″ x 11″
scored at 5 1/2″
4″ x 5 1/4″ layer, scraps for rainbow base and
letter dies
Cajun Craze CS: 3″ x 4 1/4″ and scraps
Calypso Coral CS: 3″ x 4 1/4″ and scraps
Crushed Curry CS: 3″ x 4 1/4″ and scraps
Poppy Parade CS: 3″ x 4 1/4″ and scraps
Pumpkin Pie CS: 3″ x 4 1/4″ and scraps

Die cut the rainbow pieces from each color .

Take the Basic White 4″ x 5 1/4″ layer and with blending brushes color the entire area with Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and calypso Coral inks.
Spray the area with water droplets from a Stampin’ Spritzer – this is called water lifting – the areas of water droplets will lift the ink and make lighter spotting on the surface of the colored area.
Dry with a Heat Tool or let air dry. If using a Heat Tool you should heat from both the bottom and the top of the layer to minimize paper curling.

Cut the word FALL from the Alphabet A La Mode dies and place on the bottom of the layer for spacing and stamp the word “happy” in Tuxedo Black Memento ink from the Blooming Phrases stamp set above where the letters will be adhered.

Adhere the letters to the colored layer and then adhere the layer to the card base.
Arrange the rainbow pieces one from each color on the rainbow Basic White base die and adhere starting on one side and adhering the next one in order.
Pop up the rainbow dies onto Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhere above the stamped sentiment.
I stamped the inside with the good vibes sentiment from the Sunshine Vibes stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and the sun and rays in Daffodil Delight ink above the sentiment to finish off the inside of the card!
I used the Starburst Sequins for the embellishments around the sentiment to finish the card!

This is one of the cards we will be doing at two of my library classes this month – hope to see you at one of them!

Now go and create some seasonal cards of your own – one stamp at a time!

more color mondays – night of navy, misty moonlight and calypso coral

more color mondays – night of navy, misty moonlight and calypso coral

This year Stampin’ Up! added a new line of cardstock called Two-toned cardstock.

This cardstock is printed color, because the color is printed on the surface of the paper it leaves the core of the paper white! This opens up a world of possibilities for tearing and sanding!

Today’s More Color Monday color challenge card uses this new cardstock with embossing and sanding and features a rich color combination of Night of Navy, Misty Moonlight and Calypso Coral.

Measurements:
BASE: Night of Navy CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Misty Moonlight CS: (2) 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ and a scrap
strip for the sentiment piece
Calypso Coral Two Toned cardstock:
3″ x 5 1/4″

I started with a different sentiment for this card but liked it so much that I decided to make this a birthday card for my best friend and soul mate, his birthday is today so if you see Kevin wish him a great one!

Take the two-toned cardstock and emboss with the Sunflower 3D embossing folder.
Take a sanding block or a nail file and gently rub over the embossed surface rubbing away a layer of cardstock to reveal the white core in elevated areas of the embossed design.

Emboss the 2 Misty Moonlight strips with the Mini Corrugated 3D embossing folder so that the corrugated lines are perpendicular to the long side of the strip. This will make the strips appear more like a ruffled effect when added to the card front.

Adhere the Misty Moonlight embossed strips to the top and bottom edges of the Sunflower embossed Two-toned cardstock.

Distress the edges of the Misty Moonlight Corrugated embossed edges.

Adhere the embossed images to the center of the card front.

Stamp the sentiment onto the strip scrap and fussy cut a banner edge to the right hand side
and adhere on top of the sunflower embossed area.

I added Navy Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots for a finished coordinated sparkle!

This new paper delivers a punch with the white core! It is now available in all the Stampin’ Up! Core and In Color Collections! Try some soon and see what all the excitement is about!

Now go and create some fun artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!

friends of the ocean h spanner fun fold card

friends of the ocean h spanner fun fold card

Today’s More Color Mondays color challenge screams warm weather in hues of spring grass and sunsets of Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral and Lemon Lime Twist.

I have seen this type of fun fold called many things – front flap fun fold card, front flap H fold, Spanner card etc. whatever you name it this is a winner… easy to replicate and make – it is an easy WOW card!

Pair this fun fold with the Friends of the Ocean Suite of products and well – I am SOOOO ready for spring and summer on the water! LOL!

Measurements:
BASE: Melon Mambo CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″, (1) 3/4″ x 5 1/2″
scraps for die cuts
Basic White CS: (4) 1 1/8″ x 4 1/8″
(2) 2 7/8″ x 4 1/8″
scraps for stamping and die cutting
DSP: (4) 1″ x 4″, (1) 2 3/4″ x 4″ and
(1) 5/8″ x 5 1/2″
Lemon Lime Twist CS: scraps for die cuts

Score your base card at 4 1/4″.
Cut the front flap of the card base at 1 1/4″ from each side from the score line to the edge.
This will make a 1 1/4″ flap on each side of the card front.
Adhere the 1″ x 4″ DSP pieces to the Basic White 1 1/8″ x 4 1/8″ cardstock layers.

Adhere two on the outside of the side panels.

Adhere the 2 3/4″ x 4″ DSP piece to the 2 7/8″ x 4 1/8″ Basic White layer and adhere that to the middle outside flap in between the two side panels.
Adhere the other two smaller DSP panels to the inside of the card. These will go on the outside edges leaving 1/8″ border on the top, bottom and outside edge.
Adhere the other 2 7/8″ x 4 1/8″ Basic White layer in between the two smaller DSP layers as shown in the photo below.
Stamp the hello friend sentiment from the Ocean Friends stamp set and the bubbles across the 5/8″ x 5 1/2″ strip.
Mount to the 3/4″ cardstock strip.
Stamp the two step stampin’ crab in Melon Mambo ink – stamping the base in the ink and then stamping off on a scrap piece of paper before stamping on your cardstock – creating a lighter base image.
Stamp the detailed crab full strength in Melon Mambo ink over the base image.
Die cut the crab and adhere to the middle panel.
Die cut the small starfish in Melon Mambo cardstock and adhere around the crab.
Adhere only the ends of the cardstock strip so that the strip is ONLY attached to the side panels of the card front!
Die cut the edging die in Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and some more small starfish.
Adhere under the spanner sentiment careful to only adhere to the side panels (or you will glue this fun fold closed)
Adhere the Lemon Lime Twist starfish to the card front.
Color some small pearls with Melon mambo Stampin’ Blends and adhere to the card front.
I decided I wanted a little more Calypso Coral in the card other than just in the DSP so I stamped a lobster in Calypso and adhered the tail under the spanner and the claw on the right hand side panel.
I stamped another crab on the inside middle panel of the spanner fun fold and the LOVE YOU sentiment above the image to complete the third level of the card!
A spanner card has three little layers, the crab and lobster show up when the card is completely closed but when you lift up the spanner portion of the card you get to see the crab on the middle panel without the lobster and then you pick up the middle panel and get to see the inside of the card!

Try this fun fold with a set you have in your stash! Now go and create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!

Measurements:
BASE: Calypso Coral CS: 8 1/2″ x 11″
Basic White CS: (2) 4″ x 5 1/4″ for flower stamps
and dies
Memories and More cards (2) 3″ x 4″ and (1)
4″ x 6″

I sorted through all the gorgeous offerings in the Mixed Media Florals Memories and More cards and chose three coordinating cards for my scrapbook page welcoming our newest family member our new niece!
I placed the three cards on an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Calypso Coral card stock and started arranging the pictures and cards I wanted to put into this page. I liked the framing details in the 4″ x 6″ card and grabbed a Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write marker and a ruler and added a hand drawn border to mimic the one in the card. I added an offset Basic Black Marker border around the Calypso Coral border. When I liked the layout I cut the photos down to size and started adhering the largest 4″ x 6″ Memories and More card to the top left-hand corner.
I wanted to add a couple of stamped and colored images to the middle of the page so I stamped the Tulip and Daisy stamps on the Basic WHite layers and colored with assorted Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers then die cut the images.
I tucked the stamped and die cut images under the central photo of the new baby and added journaling in a Boho Blue marker.
Easy scrapbooking pages are not the only uses for these great little cards but fast and easy card making also!
Here are some examples from the catalog and one card I made using the various coordinating Memories and More cards!
Grab a pack of these gorgeous cards and create some artwork of your very own – one stamp and one card at a time!
