sneak peak rainbows of happiness in a separated gate fold

This fun fold was inspired by one of our leading Stampin’ Up! US Demonstrators Lisa C. – thanks for the inspiration! This is a separated Gate Fold card and this is my take on the card using upcoming products which will be debuting in the January to june mini catalog next month on January 4th – make sure to mark your calendars for the Sale-a-bration Kick Off Party on that day! Two New catalogs launch that day!

Measurements:
Mango Melody CS 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 3/4″ and 2 1/4″ from each end
DSP (sneak peak at the Sale-a-bration DSP that
coordinates with the upcoming stamp set!
2 pieces cut to 1/2″ x 5 1/4″
2 pieces cut to 1 1/4″ x 5 1/4″
Mango Melody 3″ x 4″
Magenta Madness 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″
Basic White 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″
DSP 2 pieces cut to 1/2″ x 3 1/2″
Basic White CS cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″

Score the Mango Melody or your choice of cardstock at 3/4″ and 2 1/4″ from each end.
Crease the score lines with your bone folder in towards the middle of the base card at the 2 1/4″ score line and back the other way towards the outside edge of the card at the 3/4″ score lines. It will look like the photo below.
Adhere the 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ strips to the outside edge with an equal border all around and take the larger strip and adhere in the adjacent panel. Do this on the other side as well. It will look like the photo below.
Stamp a sentiment on the Basic White 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Cardstock and adhere to the inside card base as shown below.
Put together your focal piece stamp an image and/or sentiment on the Basic white piece and adhere the 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ strips to the top and the bottom, adhere this layer to the next largest (the Magenta layer) and the adhere that to the Mango layer.
Close the base card and position the focal piece to the center of the card making sure that the inside sentiment is covered. Place Stampin’ Dimensionals the the back left side of the piece so that it adheres to one of the gate fold sides.

If the card remaining open bothers you – you can use small thin magnets or velcro attachments to allow the card to remain closed.

Love Rainbows and I cannot wait to show you this set and more at my upcoming Sale-a-bration Kick -Off party on January 4th!

Hope this inspired you to try something new – now go and create some art of your own – one stamp at a time!

Happy Stampin’

Natalie
