This is a fun technique that you can create using DSP – whether it is random strips or cut just fora card like this one!
Because most of our DSP is two sided and the front and back are designed to compliment each other most of the time this is a great technique to do to show off both sides of the DSP!
Using DSP cut to 5 1/4″ in height if you are layering your DSP on the “tall” side of the card or 4″ is you are layering it across the shorter side of the card (in the sample shown I used the 5 1/4″ strips for the Misty Moonlight card and the 4″ strips for the Crushed Curry card.
Using your paper cutter angle the paper and cut out small strips on the diagonal the entire way across the DSP.
Flip the Strips into alternating sides.
Using your favorite adhesive and your Silicon mat start to adhere the scrappy strips to the card base
Adhere all of the strips in this manner – keeping a consistent margin around the strips .
Add a sentiment and embellishments and easy peasy you have a quick and cute card!
Hope this inspired you to go out and create art of your very own – one stamp at a time!
Happy Stampin’
Natalie
This is another sample using the same technique!
