The Spotlighting Technique is a fun, easy way to highlight an area of stamping or a quick way to add color to a card.

Measurements:

Basic White CS 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Scored at 4 1/4″

Using the Large Leaf image in the Artfully Layered Stamp set (#157752) that is an upcoming gorgeous stamp set in the new January to June 2022 mini catalog. It is part of a suite called Artfully Composed that features a coordinating Die set called Tropical Layers (#157760) and 2 gorgeous types of DSP called Vellum Layering Designs 12″ x 12″ DSP (#157764) and Artfully Composed 12″ x 12″ (#157750). There is also a beautiful White Frayed Ribbon (#158138) in the suite as well Faux Sea Glass Shapes (#158139).
Pick a spot that you wish to highlight and cut a circle using the Layering Circles Dies.
Using Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers – color the die cut circle shading with dark and light markers.
Add adhesive to the back side of the die cut circle. Replace the die cut circle into the hole made from the die cut. Line up the Stamped image to the remaining image on the card and close the card front and adhere the circle to the back of the card.
Stamp a sentiment this one comes in the Artfully Layered stamp set and mount it on a matching or complimentary color of cardstock (I used Pear Pizzazz) die cut with the Ornate Layers Dies (#152726).
Add Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon (#147897) and Matte Black Dots (#154284)

So easy and such a sweet and simple card – Now it is your turn to go and create some art of your own – one stamp at a time!

Happy Stampin’,

Natalie
