Ever made hand made paper before? It is a fun process and extremely easy and satisfying. I save all of my paper scraps especially the white ones! (Much to my husband’s chagrin!!) I made a deckle out of 2 8 x 10 frames from the dollar store (look on you tube there are many tutorials) and I have some samples of the results. The paper is a great way to recycle scraps and add depth and dimension to your projects.
The card sample below starts with a Basic White (#159276) cardstock base and then I added Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) to the back of a torn piece of handmade White cardstock. I layered a piece of Basic White cardstock created with a mask from the Dandy Laser Cut paper which is only available until today. I used the Elegant Tag punch (#155762) for the sentiment – which is from the Flowers of Friendship Bundle (#155590).
Starting with a similar base of Basic White and handmade White paper, I added silhouetted black die cuts from the Meadow dies (#155852). I finished the card off with the Matte Black Dots (#154284)
The card sample below uses the flower from the Flowers of Friendship bundle and overlapping die cuts from the Scalloped Contours (#155560) in Basic Black (#121045) and Smoky Slate (#131202) cardstocks. I used a 1/2″ scrap strip in the Banners Pick a Punch (#153608) and stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708).
This next card sample below uses a single Black silhouette flower from the Meadows die set and Matte Black dots similar to the other card but I used a Happy Birthday sentiment from the Art Gallery stamp set (#158201) stamped on the Scalloped Contours die.
I had some left over die cut Meadows Flowers from a previous blog post on the Tie Dye technique and I mounted those onto the handmade paper for a softer Happy Birthday card.
This last sample is an elegant monochromatic white on white card using the large flower die cut from the Artistic Die Set (#155371). The sentiment strip was punched using the Lovely Labels Punch (#152883)
