So I had one more beautiful strip left from the Wet Stamping Rainbow butterflies technique and I just had to use it for a last fun technique! Have you ever made an eclipse card? The Playful Alphabet dies are retiring and this is such a fun technique to do with a die alphabet set!
Position the word you would like to cut out onto the image.
Using washi tape or blue painters tape secure down the alphabet dies in place. Run through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss or the Mini and remove the tape.
I wanted to create a dream BIG message on the card so I used washi tape to cover the words from the Whale Done stamp set that I did not want to use and after inking it in the Memento Ink removed the tape and stamped the partially inked stamp onto the card front!
Using the Foam adhesive strips pop up the alphabet letters.
Adhere the strip with the letters cut out to the base card and the place the letters back into their negative spaces but popped up so that they stand out from the background, causing an eclipse of the word.
I added White Glittered Organdy ribbon and Iridescent Rhinestones to complete the card.’

The Playful Alphabet unfortunately is retiring so if you need a great alphabet die set you will want to use the current hostess code, CGYBQDYV before they are sold out!

Try this cool Eclipse technique and create a word card of your very own – one letter die at a time!

Happy Stampin’
