This card I created uses the Shaded Spruce DSP and Specialty papers (the ribbon I used is retired but you could use our new Shaded Spruce and Gold edged ribbon instead!)
I used the stamp set and the embossing folder as well!

Measurements:
BASE: Shaded Spruce CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Basic White CS: (2) 4″ x 5 1/4″, scrap for circle
die
DSP: 1″ x 4″
Specialty Paper: 1″ x 4″

Emboss one of the 4″ x 5 1/4″ layers with the Paradise Garden hybrid embossing folder.
Die cut a circle from the Stylish Shapes die set that will fit the sentiment you choose from the Paradise Garden stamp set.
Grab the other 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White layer and stamp the leaf image from the Paradise Garden stamp set full strength in Shaded Spruce ink on the lower right-hand corner of the layer.

Then without re-inking the stamp, stamp the leaf image again (second generation stamping) on the Stylish Shapes circle die.

Stamp the sentiments in Tuxedo Black Memento ink over the leaf image on the circle die and above the leaf image on the Basic White layer.

Adhere the 1″ strips to the embossed layer.
Cut a piece of coordinating ribbon about 5 3/4″ long and wrap around the embossed layer and secure with scotch tape.
Adhere the embossed layer to the card front.
Adhere the inside Basic White layer to the inside of the card base.
Pop up the circle die on Stampin’ Dimensionals over the ribbon on the right-hand side of the card.
Place embellishments on the card to complete it.
If you wanted you could color the sentiment piece by using Shaded Spruce ink and a blending brush.
Which version do you like?

Both are great but the shaded version adds just a little – don’t you think?

Try designing a card and then adding one more detail and see if it makes a difference! That is how you grown creatively! Now go and be creative – create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!

january demonstrator swap cards

january demonstrator swap cards

I love swapping with others and getting new ideas – it can be a different color combination, a unique fun fold or a stamp set I do not own but all of the new ideas that come in the mail are so much fun! Isn’t it fun to get happy mail in your postal box, not just bills? LOL

Today’s post was supposed to go out yesterday and I got waylaid with a million other projects which seems like the norm anymore! But better late than never seems to be my motto these days!

Today’s first card comes all the way from the midwest from Ginger S. and is a host of monochromatic blues on the outside with an Unbridled Beauty surprise on the inside! It uses the Allin a Row embossing folder and the Nature Walk DSP. She even stamped the envelope with a horse!

Patty J’s card is a lovely masculine card featuring the outgoing Last Chance stamp set Autumn Tree’s deer and the sentiment from the Nature’s Symphony stamp set. The DSP is a mix of Nature Walk and the Last Chance Timeless Plaid DSP.
This next card from Jeanne T is a lovely floral design made with Floral Charm DSP and the Beautifully Celebrated Bundle of products.
Denise W’s swap card features the Easter time Mix & Match ephemera pack, the Splash of Sparkles Specialty DSP and the Softest Spring Puffy Stickers for the floral embellishment. The Sentiment is from the Woolly Friends stamp set. Such a sweet card that comes together fast with the Mix & match pack.
The next three swaps are 3D fun folds and they deliver with a BANG!

The first uses the Nature’s Symphony Suite of products and an easel card fun fold with a 3M sticky pad to hold the easel upright such a cute desk calendar idea from Andrea U.

The second project uses the same DSP Nature Walk and the Exploring Nature stamp set for the sentiment, exposed Brick 3D embossing folder and Pressed Flower motif embellishments, Beautiful Motifs die set and a tearing technique for the sentiment piece from Marie W for a lovely gender neutral easel card fun fold!
This last 3D calendar card uses the Boardwalk Fun Bundle and the Beach Boardwalk DSP for a super fun and summer-y tent fold 3D project from Lori V.
The last card that I received is from Kathi D and uses my new favorite bundle – Rolling Waves for a gorgeous monochromatic card using a technique I detailed a layering circles card from November 17, 2025. Go back and learn how to make this fun technique! Rolling Waves is a pre-order for the new Online exclusives release so it will be available to order in March!

I really do love learning how to make new and beautiful cards and other’s ideas can elevate your own game! Hope I inspired you to try some different card making techniques! Now go and create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!

more color mondays – petunia pop, peach pie and summer splash

Who says masculine cards need to be neutral or muted colors – this More Color Mondays color challenge card was made for a special birthday that is today in our family!

The Shell Collecting stamp set is a reversible stamp set – it contains 6 symmetrical stamps that can be reversed directly to be used as a two step stamping process and 2 other images that contain mirrored images of each other and you can use the flat sides of the mirror image for the reverse stamping for each of those stamps! So fun to be able to fill in the background without coloring – just ink it up and go!

Measurements:
BASE: Summer Splash CS: 5 1/2″x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″, 1 1/2″ x 4 1/4″
Basic White CS: 4″ x 5 1/4″, 1 1/4″ x 4″

I started on the corner of the Basic White CS layer with the conical shell in Petunia Pop – this is one of the two images that has two mirrored images I used the back of one and the front of the other image to two step stamp.

In the second photo I stamped the fill in portion of the conical stamp and also stamped the starfish which is a symmetrical stamp and is totally reversible on it’s own in Peach Pie ink.

I reversed the starfish on the acrylic block to the smooth side and stamped off once on my grid paper creating a lighter second generation stamping effect for the Peach Pie inked starfish.

Then I stamped the conch shell which has two mirrored images in the stamp set in Summer Splash ink.

I also stamped Happy Birthday from the January POM (Product of the Month) Fabulous Sayings in Summer Splash on the 1 1/4″ Basic White layer.

I took the flat side of the mirrored image conch shell and stamped off on grid paper two make the fill in lighter in Summer Splash ink.
I matted the happy birthday sentiment in Summer Splash CS.
I finished the 4″ x 5 1/4″ layer by stamped the entire surface with alternating colors and shell types.

Then I ran it through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine with the BASE #1 plate and the Embossing Plate #4 with the Soft Waves 3D embossing folder.

I adhered the 4″ x 5 1/4″ layer to the card base and the adhered the sentiment matted layer across the top third of the card. I added two silver Faceted Snowflakes around the sentiment to finish off the card!
Try one of our super fun reversible stamp sets today this one is amazing!

Now go and create some artwork of your very own one stamp at a time!

new catalog sets demonstrator swap cards

new catalog sets demonstrator swap cards

One of the benefits of swapping with other crafters is that you receive back the same number of cards that you made but they are from all different stamp sets (possibly sets you do not own – which is the case for a few of these samples) and you get new ideas, Sometimes it is a new color combination or a new fun fold or a new technique. mostly it is just plain fun to see other people’s style and how they use their stamps and products!

This first card is from Denise W. who is one of my upline’s and hosts this swap every month! This is the adorable Wooly Friends Bundle and uses the Love Notes Mix and Match Designer Series paper and the Three Banner punch to punch out the DSP. Such a sweet card!

This next card is from Kathi D. and is made using the Easter Joy Suite of products including the Easter Basket Bundle and the Easter Joy Specialty Designer Series paper.
Nancy F’s swap card uses a set that I do not have but thought was so so pretty and she does an awesome job with the Aspen Grove stamp set. She uses the Faux Bronze Pentagons from the Nature walk Suite Collection of products and the sentiment from the Loveliest Trees stamp set!

This is a window card. The second picture shows the card from the inside view.

This Greenery Lane bundle card from Carol S. uses the Stone and Vine 3D embossing folder as the backdrop for this lovely neutral card. She used the dies and stamps from the Greenery Lane bundle as well as the washi tape for the strip on the left hand side of the card.
The last card I have received from this swap is from Lori V and is a bendy fun fold card using the Nature Walk Suite of products.

I will design my own card with this fun fold next week so if you want to learn how to make this keep an eye out for the post!

Here are three pictures of the card from various angles.

This is the card from the top view you can see the bendy portion.

Stay tuned for my version coming soon!

Hope you got a lot of great ideas – now it’s your turn to go and create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time.

Today’s More Color Mondays color challenge features some very cool new stamp sets, plus did you wonder where Sale-a-bration had gone?
Well, let me. tell you about that! This past year Stampin’ Up! announced to the demonstrators that they were developing a program to replace Sale-a-bration called the Product of the month promotion!

So instead of just two months of sales items to get for FREE with a qualifying over they are doing a YEAR LONG promotion for every month that a demonstrator or customer spends $75 they are eligible to buy one Product of the Month per that month for $5. Today’s card is made with January’s incentive “fabulous Sayings” stamp set! This is the coolest stamp set with the coolest fonts!

Measurements:
BASE: Summer Splash CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″, 1 1/2″ x 4 1/4″
Basic White CS: 4″ x 5 1/4″, 1 1/4″ x 4″

This card is also made with the new Mini Catalog stamp set Shell Collecting – this is a reversible stamp set! This means if the image is symmetrical you can turn the stamp over and stamp the backside that is the flat side – I always stamp that off on my grid paper so that the background is lighter than the detailed side at full strength!

For the non-symmetrical stamps this Shell Collecting stamp set have reversed images and the non-symmetrical stamps. Use the backside of one and the front detailed side of the other to get both sides!

I stamped the conical shell detailed stamp in Petunia Pop ink full strength.

This particular shell is not symmetrical so I took the other conical shell and turned it so that the flat side was upwards and stamped it into the Petunia Pop ink and stamped it off once on the grid paper, then I stamped it over the detailed image for a filled in look!

I then stamped the starfish image in Peach Pie ink.

The starfish image is symmetrical so there is only one starfish in the collection so I turned the starfish over and stamped off so that the inside filled portion is lighter.

Then I stamped the larger shell in Summer Splash ink.

I also used the January POM (Product of the Month) that I explained in the intro of this blog post – the January selection is called Fabulous Sayings and it is a fantastic sentiment stamp set. I stamped the Happy Birthday from this Product of the Month in Summer Splash ink on the Basic White strip.

Since there are two stamped images of the larger sea shell these are non symmetrical and you will use the detailed side of one and the flat backside of the other stamp. I used the other flat backside at half strength to fill in the background of the shell.
Finish the Basic White layer by alternating colors and shells to completely fill the page.

Take the layer and emboss it with the Soft Waves 3D embossing folder.

Take and adhere the Basic White sentiment strip to the Summer Splash matte strip.
Adhere the embossed layer to the card base and then pop up the sentiment strip across the card front.

I added two silver faceted snowflake embellishments – I know these are snowflakes but they look like stars or starfish to me as well!

The Product of the Month promotion is ONLY while supplies last – so make your supply list and get your order in if this is the set for you!

Below is a picture of the set – it is a great one and it’s only $5 with a qualifying order of $75!
Best $5 I have spent recently!

card sketch #117

card sketch #117

Today’s card continues the series on Card Sketches with #117!

This simple sketch provides plenty of creative inspiration with a layer and a double matte with sprigs behind it. I followed the sketch quite literally but later on next week I will show you another card from this same sketch with a completely different look!

Measurements:
BASE: Basic White CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″, 4″ x 5 1/4″ layer, and scrap
for the die
Vellum CS: scrap for the sentiment matte
Lemon Lime Twist CS: 1/2″ x 4″, and scrap for
the die

Emboss the Basic White CS layer with the Stone and Vine 3D embossing folder.
Adhere the embossed layer to the card base.
Take the 1/2″ x 4″ Lemon Lime Twist CS strip and adhere it to the center of the card front.
Die cut two concentric circles from the Spotlight on Nature dies. The smaller one in Basic White CS and the next size up in Vellum CS.

Stamp the sentiment in Lemon Lime Twist ink and color the edges with a blending brush and the same ink.

Adhere the Basic White stamped circle onto the vellum circle with Stampin’ Seal.

Pop up the sentiment vellum circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals – making sure to stay inside the Basic White circle outline.
Die cut the large leaf sprig die in Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and cut into 2 pieces.
Attach the sprigs to the sentiment piece and adhere the sentiment focal piece to the card over the Lemon Lime Twist strip.
I added Holographic Resin Dots to the card for a little sparkle to complete the card!

Try your hand at this card sketch – if you are new to sketches try it literally as the sketch is drawn or be creative and use the sketch as a launching point and go crazy with ideas!

Let me know what you make – now go and create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!
