reversible stamps – double your fun

Did you know that we have reversible stamps? Just go to my webpage at https://nataliestamps.stampinup.net/ and click the shop now button and search Reversibles to see the entire collection.
Double your creative fun with these amazing products. They are specialized photopolymer stamps you can stamp with using both sides! One side is flat and the other is impressed with an image.
The Sea Turtle stamp set (#160500) is the latest in this fun technology! See below all the light gray images on the cover of the Stamp box – these stamps are the reverse of the stamp – so it is a two for one – two step stamping all in one stamp!
I used the flat side of the large turtle image in Coastal Cabana ink.
Clean the stamp off and peel up and reverse it to the other side. Ink it in Bermuda Bay ink and stamp directly over the flat stamped area on the paper. Because of the clear photopolymer it is easy to match up the images!
Stamp the large bubble stamp across the extra sheet of cardstock and stamp in a generational stamping technique. (do not re-ink the stamp) The original stamping is called first generation. The next iteration is second generation stamping and so on. Stamp the full strength at the bottom of the paper and then each lighter generation as you go up the next row becomes lighter and lighter.
Using the wave die cut from the By the Bay die set, cut across the paper in varying heights – keep them in gradient order.
Cut the whole paper and then using your fingers or a device like the bone folder, curl the top edges and bend them outward towards the stamped surface, creating some depth and dimension.
Adhere the bottom strip by taping only the bottom portion of the piece to the card front, leave the top section not adhered so that the next section can slip behind the first section and start building the waves. Adhere the third section behind the second and so on.
Stamp the flat surface of the larger starfish in Coastal Cabana ink on a scrap piece of paper.
Stamp the detailed starfish side on top of the solid starfish stamp in Bermuda Bay ink. Fussy cut the starfish to add to the card front.
Fussy cut the large turtle and add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the turtle and adhere him in the “water” on the front of the card!
Adhere the fussy cut starfish to the top of the card and stamp a sentiment up top as well. Stamp the smaller starfish to the left of the sentiment.
Add PAstel Adhesive-Backed Sequins to the card front.
I stamped the seaweed images in generational stamping technique and fussy cut them out. I added them to the card bottom. I first stamped them directly on the card and it looked too busy for me!

Try stampin’ with some reversibles today and go and create some art of your own – one stamp at a time!

three angle designer series cards

three angle designer series cards

3 angled DSP cards are so easy and can vary with your imagination! Take a Basic White cardstock base and three sheets of cardstock and DSP and you have the makings of a quick and easy card that can vary as far as your willing to test it!
Measurements:
Thick White Cardstock (3) 4 1/4″ x 11″
scored at 5 1/2″
Basic White cardstock (1) 4″ x 5 1/4″
Dandy Designs (2) 4″ x 5 1/4″
scraps of White and a coordinating colored
cardstock
Take the 3 pieces of 4″ x 5 1/4″ pieces of paper
– make sure that the two pieces of DSP coordinate and different designs are facing upwards.
Make the first angled cut anywhere on the left side of the 5 1/4″ side and angle it into the bottom right hand corner.
Starting at the top right hand corner angle the paper to the desired angle and starting in the middle of the paper cut down to the edge of the paper and then reverse to the upper corner (do not start the cut at the point of the corner as you can crumple the corner edge)
You will now have three pieces of each type of paper.
Take the White cardstock and run it through a 3D Embossing Folder of your choice for a little depth and dimension. I used the Timeworn Type.
The angled cuts will match exactly because you cut them at the same time.
Alternate the three different pieces and get the base for three different cards!
Adhere the left corner piece to the matching corner of the card base.
Make sure to get the tape to the edges of each of the separate sections and adhere the top right hand corner piece to the card.
Adhere the bottom piece to the card base.
Die cut a matte out of coordinating colored cardstock (I choose Balmy Blue) and I die cut with the Layering Circles dies. Cut a smaller Basic White cardstock to fit inside the matte (I used the Stylish Shapes) Stamp an image and color with Stampin’ Blends. I used the Adorable Owls Sale-a-bration set and use the Bronze and Ivory blends and the Light Balmy Blue.
Adhere the stamped circle to the Balmy Blue matte and pop up the Owl on Stampin’ Dimensionals. Place White Glittered Organdy ribbon behind the popped up circle and adhere to the card where the three papers converge.
Add the new Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins to the card and a sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento ink to the lower right hand side and so cute you are done!
Try this with some of your own DSP or better yet put in an order and get some FREE Designer Series Paper out of the 2023 Sale-a-bration catalog.
