(1) 5″ x 3 3/4″
(1) 5 3/8″ x 2 7/8″
(1) 5 3/8″ x 2 3/8″

Textured Shimmer Paper
(2) 2 1/4″ x 2 1/4″

Take the 5 3/8″ x 2 3/8″ piece of cardstock and score it on the long side at 1 1/4″, 2 1/2″, 3 3/4″, and 5″.
The pop-up mechanism is the 5 3/8” x 2 3/8” scored cardstock piece.

Position your cardstock piece with the small 1/4″ scored section on the left side. Counting the 1/4″ as the first section. Use your ruler to make a pencil line from the top left corner of the second scored section over to the bottom right of the third scored section.

Turn your cardstock the other way and do the same thing but from opposite corners, creating an “X” through the second and third scored sections of the cardstock.

Score along the pencil marked “X” and then erase the pencil marks and burnish all the score lines well with a bone folder.
Pinch the sides of the X together and press the mechanism closed.
Adhere the 5 1/4″ x 4″ patterned paper on the inside of the card, on the right hand side.
Using your ruler mark the center of the card base score line at 2 3/4″.
Grab the mechanism piece and using your ruler mark the center of the mechanism on the opposite side of the “X” section you scored on the section that is 1 7/8″. Score the piece in half at 1 3/16″.
Match up the center mark on the mechanism with the center mark on the card base.
Place multipurpose liquid glue on the 1 7/8″ first section with the mark and making sure that the marks remain matched up carefully close the card front piece over the mechanism keeping it right up against the fold.
Rub on the section of card front directly over the glue allowing time for the glue to dry.
If you begin to open the card and the glue is not set re-close the card and rub on the glue to adhere and allow more time to dry.
Open the card front and place the front of the card down on the desk so that the adhered mechanism is on the left and glue the 1/4″ section that is on the right side of the mechanism. Close the back side of the card over the glued section and repeat the rubbing and drying process for the other end of the mechanism.
The glue should be completely dried and secure before you proceed.
The mechanism will remain attached to each side of the card when you open and close it.
Adhere the Textured Shimmer paper cut to 2 1/4″ squares to the Basic White 2 3/8″ squares.
Stamp the bunny image from the Playing in the Rain Bundle and color with Stampin’ Blends (do not color the puddles in two of the images. I used the Night of Navy combo, the Polished Pink Combo, light Smoky Slate and the Color Lifter. Stamp two sets of the clouds and color them as well. Die cut two of the bunnies without colored puddles and fussy cut the one to go on the front of the card to include the colored puddle. Die cut the clouds.
Adhere the two die cut bunnies to the 2 3/8″ squares.
Apply glue to the section of the mechanism that the glue bottle is pointing to in the first picture. The glue is on the correct section in the second photograph.
Adhere the first bunny to the glued triangle.
Glue the layered 2 3/8″ x 2 3/8″ square to the triangle by lining the square parallel with the top of the card and next to the triangle score line, as shown in the photo.
Repeat on the opposite side of the mechanism.
Adhere the 5 3/8″ x 2 7/8″ and 5 3/8″ x 2 3/8″ patterned papers to your 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ white cardstock that you scored at 3”.
Layer the 4 7/8″ x 2 5/8″ and 4 7/8″ x 1 7/8″ white cardstock on top of the patterned paper if you would like lots of writing room!
I love this paper so much I took the smaller Basic white cardstock and adhered it to the larger section and left the smaller section uncovered so that the beauty of the DSP can shine!
Line up the 3” side of the 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ white cardstock with the left inside edge of your card.

Fold over the 2 1/2″ side of the 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ cardstock while still in the card and place glue on the exposed section of the mechanism, including the connected triangle part, as seen in the photo.

Fold it closed and rub the glue until you feel it is mostly dry.

Flip your card to the front side, and lift the front of the card to adhere the 3” side to the left inside of the card, as seen in the photo.
Adhere the 5 1/4″ x 4″ white cardstock to the 5″ x 3 3/4″ DSP, and decorate the layer with the bunny that was fussy cut and a sentiment banner die cut with the Stylish Shapes die set and the clouds. I embossed the sentiment piece with the Raindrops 3D embossing folder and popped it up on mini dimenstions. I added some Basic Rhinestone jewels for the bling!
Adhere to the card front.
When you open the card the two inside square panels twist out in a very fun pop up way!

Here are a few photos of the card opening.

MAY THE good YOU DO COME BACK TO you
NOTHING fancy JUST love
GRATEFUL FOR THE everyday magic OF YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
CONGRATULATIONS
thank you
HERE”S TO Beautiful BEGINNINGS & Happily EVER AFTERS

I made this set of cards with the Rain or Shine DSP, and the Playing in the Rain bundle – the images in this set are so sweet and compliment the sentiments in the Something Fancy bundle.

The highlighted card is a fun fold – a simple Z fold card.

Measurements:
Base: Pear Pizzazz 5 1/2″x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″ and 2 1/8″
DSP – 3″ x 5 1/2″ for the inside right panel,
3″ x 5″ for the top outside layer, cut outs
Basic White – 3 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ for the front DSP
Matte, scrap for the Stylish Shapes circle die

Score the base at 4 1/4″ and 2 1/8″.
Adhere the 3″ x 5 1/2″ DSP to the right side of the inside of the card. I left a small margin of Pear Pizzazz to border the card.
Adhere the 3″ x 5″ DSP to the Basic White layer.
Die cut a circle from the Stylish Shapes die set, stamp the raindrops from the Playing in the Rain stamp set in Balmy Blue ink and the WITH DEEPEST sympathy sentiment from the Something Fancy sentiment set on the lower portion of the die. Adhere to the lower right hand side of the layer making sure that the edge of the circle will not hang over the card dimensions once attached to the card front (you should keep it less than 5/8″ hang over)
Fussy cut one of the characters from the DSP with an umbrella and a set of three rain clouds. Adhere the rain clouds above the sentiment circle and the character to the upper left hand side of the die.
Attach a length of White Glittered Organdy Ribbon to the left side of the layer. Tie a know in the upper portion.
Place adhesive on the outer Fold of the pear Pizzazz base (do not take the adhesive to the edge – leave a 1/4″ all around) Adhere the front layers to the front flap leaving a 1/8″ border around the outside of the Pear Pizzazz flap. Press firmly to secure to the front flap. Add Basic Rhinestone Jewels to the circle die and this card is complete!
This next sample starts with a Basic White base card cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″, with a Basic White layer of 4″ x 5 1/4″ embossed with the Into the Clouds Embossing Folder and lightly brushed with Pacific Point using a Blending Brush. The linear Happy Birthday sentiment is from our featured Something Fancy stamp set and punched with the Banners Pick a Punch I added the turtle die cut with the Playing in the Rain die set and other dies from that set to build the scene around the turtle from the Rain or Shine DSP. The final touches for a little bling set the tone in various shades of blue using the Tahitian Tide Metallic Woven ribbon and the silver Pastel Pearls colorized with the Tahitian Tide Stampin’ Blends marker.
My next sample starts with the same base and layer but before embossing, I stamped with the raindrops and sentiment from the Something Fancy stamp set in Pacific Point ink and then embossed with the Into the Clouds folder. I used a different character from the Rain or Shine DSP and the same embellishments for a sweet and simple sympathy card.
I think this is my favorite sentiment in this Something Fancy set – who doesn’t miss a birthday now and again and this is a great sentiment for just that occasion! I love this bunny best of all of the characters in the Rain or Shine DSP and the kite adds just the right amount of whimsy. I stamped clouds and puddles in Pacific Point and shaded the bottom of the card in Crumb Cake and Pacific Point before adding the bridge and bunny I popped up the kite and bridge with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Foam Adhesive Strips and added Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins as the topper!
I love this next sample for the multi layered vellum clouds – you matter to so many is such agreat sentiment and the contrasting colors of the DSP make the turtle die cut pop!
I opted to fussy cut the turtle from the DSP instead of die cut to include more raindrops from the paper, used ripping the edges and Blending brushes to add distress to the sentiment piece of cardstock and added Opaque Adhesive-backed gems to finish off this last card!

This is a great sentiment set perfect for you collection and the bundle at $45.75 is just shy of the Level One Sale-a-bration set that you have been dying to get – only 20 days left for the Sale-a-bration deals and the current hostess code is VFYMSRKJ. Remeber there are SAle-a-bration Add-ons (additional rewards available including the Into the Clouds embossing folder included twice in the pictures below the first picture is the regular catalog number and the last entry is the one with the Sale-a-bration number if you want to earn that great embossing folder for free!) I hope this inspires you to go out and create some art of your own and send it out to a friend or family member that will be so happy to receive it!
