fruit salad sale-a-bration thank you card

fruit salad sale-a-bration thank you card

There is nothing better than FREE stuff!
January and February Stampin’ Up!’s tradition sale called Sale-a-bration is in full swing!

Today’s card uses the Fruit Salad bright and cheery FREE Designer Series paper for a simple stamped card. I also used the To the Point punch with one of the two sets that coordinate with it called Bright Borders for the fun sentiment punch!

Measurements:
BASE: Coastal Cabana CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Granny Apple Green CS: 3 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
scrap for the punch
DSP: 3″ x 5 1/4″

I cut the 6″ x 6″ FREE sale-a-bration paper at 5 1/4″ on the bottom of the patterned paper and then in half at 3″ so I could make two cards with the 3″ x 5 1/4″ pieces!
I adhered the DSP to the Granny Apple Green CS layer.
I wrapped 8 inches of Silver and White Sheer ribbon around the DSP layer and adhered it to the center of the card front and tied it in a know above the DSP.
I stamped one of the borders from the Bright Borders stamp set in Granny Apple Green ink on the coordinating cardstock and stamped the thank you sentiment in the middle of the border.
I punched the sentiment out with the To the Point coordinating punch.
I used a blending brush in the Granny Apple Green ink to burnish and color the edges of the punched out image.
I popped up the punch onto Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered it over the ribbon.
I finished the card off with Basic Rhinestone Jewels around the sentiment punch and love how the silver in the rhinestones pulls the silver from the ribbon and coordinates the embellishments together.

Try making a simple card with DSP you already have or better yet use the current hostess code GTWJKUXX and spend $60 in pretax/shipping merchandise and choose your own FREE DSP or other level one item!

Today’s blog is all about a tri-fold overlapping fun fold.

Measurements:
BASE #1: Basic White CS: 5 1/2″ x 6 1/4″
score at 2″
Layer #1: 1 3/4″ x 5 1/4″
BASE#2: Basic White CS: 5 1/4″ x 8 1/4″

Take each of the colored CS scraps and punch the home out of the humble Home punch for each color: Summer Splash, Berry Burst and Lemon Lolly.
Cut off the chimney stack from the home punch and create an arrow from each of the colored CS punches.
Take the two Basic White layers #1 and #2 and emboss them with the Dotted Circles 3D embossing folder.
Stamp the sentiment “thank you” in Tuxedo Black Memento ink three times down the sentiment Basic White layer.
Color in the thank you sentiment on top with a Dark Summer Splash Stampin’ Blends marker.
Color the bottom sentiment in Dark Berry Burst Stampin’ Blends marker.
Color the middle sentiment in Dark Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends marker.
Adhere Layer #2 to the scored Base #2 with the opening on the left hand side.
Adhere Layer #1 to Base #1.
Adhere the back of Base #2 to the inside of the inside of Base #1 – so that the card opens up in opposite directions.

Adhere the three arrow punches to the inside of the Base #2.
Stamp in Berry Burst ink the inside sentiment onto the middle panel on the inside of the card when it is fully opened up.
Adhere the three small heart punches from the Humble Home punch in the three Colored CS colors of Summer Splash, Berry Burst and Lemon Lolly.
Adhere the three colored Cardstock layers in order Summer Splash on the outside, then Berry Burst and last Lemon Lolly then adhere the Basic White sentiment layer on top.

heartfelt hexagon window card

heartfelt hexagon window card

Today will be a very fun day and this is one of the fun projects you will be able to do if you are local and coming to visit me between 1-3pm at my New Catalog Open House. This bundle was made available early on-line because it was used in an on-line stamping day but it is one of the new bundles available in the January to April 2024 Mini Catalog! (and there is a FREE set you can earn during Sale-a-bration that coordinates with the punch HOW FUN IS THAT!!)
One of the best things I like about punches is that they can do so many fun things and cutting out a peek through window is one of those things and the one use I will be highlighting in this blog post!

Measurements:
Orchid Oasis: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
1/2″ strips of:
Bubble Bath
Flirty Flamingo
Lemon Lime Twist
Coastal Cabana
Orchid Oasis
Basic White layer: 4″ x 5 1/4″ embossed and
punched

Slide the Hexagon punch onto the Basic White layer from the top of the 4 1/4″ side and punch out the hexagon shape.
Place the punched layer into the Painted Posies 3D embossing folder and emboss the image around the punched window.
Cut at least one 1/2″ strip of each of the colored cardstock in Bubble Bath, Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lime Twist, Coastal Cabana, and Orchid Oasis.
Place adhesive closely around the punched out window on the back side.
Layer one strip butting up next to the next strip and lay down onto the adhesive above and below the punched out window opening.

Place the Basic White layer embossing side up on a Stampin’ Pierce mat and stamp in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, one of the sentiments from the Heartfelt Hexagon Bundle. Press firmly as you are stamping on multiple pieces of cardstock layered next to one another and not a single sheet of cardstock.

Tie a length of Orchid Oasis Metallic Woven ribbon in a knot around the Basic White embossed layer. Pop up this layer on Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhere to the Orchid Oasis cardstock base.

One of the coolest things about this Metallic Woven ribbon is you can pull it gently to create a pattern within the ribbon or pull it all the way to create loose singular threads at the end – I used both techniques on the edges of this ribbon. I placed a small patch of adhesive down under the ribbon to keep the pulled design intact!
I added five 2022-2024 In Color Pearls in coordinating Orchid Oasis to complete the card with a little coordinating bling – LOVE that about Stampin’ Up!

Hope to see you this afternoon and help you make this card! Come and create a little artwork of your very own – one new stamp at a time!!!
