Measurements:
Thick Basic White cardstock 4 1/4″ x 11″
scored at 5 1/2″
Lights Aglow DSP 4″ x 5 1/4″
scrap white for sentiment
Brushed Metallic 3″ square

Adhere DSP to Thick Basic White cardstock.
Run the Brushed Metallic Square through the STampin’ Cut and Emboss using the large dotted circle die from the Labels Aglow die set. If your cutting plates are scratched like mine – no worries place an extra piece of cardstock above the die and below the scratched cutting plate when using foils as they are soft and will pick up the scratches from the plate. Adhere to the top middle of the DSP.
Stamp the Happy New Year sentiment from the Brightest Glow stamp set and die cut with the smaller circle die from the Labels Aglow. Pop up on Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhere to the center of the gold circle.
Tie gold Shimmer Ribbon to the bottom portion of the card front.
Adhere Iridescent Pearls to the card front to finish the card.
Here is the finished card – go check out the Last chance list and get some deals and exiting products before they are gone. Go out and create a little art of your own – one stamp at a time!

product review lights aglow specialty designer series paper – on retiring list if you like this order now!

Every season as we get ready to release a new catalog there is some sadness and heartbreak as we say goodbye to some beautiful stamp sets and bundles, gorgeous DSP and accessories. Of course it is so we can make room for even more gorgeous things to want but none the less it is hard to say goodbye to some. This Specialty Designer Series paper is one of those – if you love the samples below then do not miss out on this 6″ x 6″ Lights Aglow Specialty DSP (#159535) in Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent and Very Vanilla!
Current Hostess Code is FA3VX7JQ.
The card above is made with a 3″ x 5 1/2″ piece of the DSP that is decorated with a gold foiled tree starred branches. Added a 1/4″ gold foil strips and Gold ribbon on a Soft Succulent base card. These papers are so elegant on their own that you need to do very little to make a lovely card!
One side of the paper is foiled that is why it is designated as Specialty paper. This side of the paper has a pretty Soft Succulent Bokeh background with Evening Evergreen snowflakes and a gold foiled polka dotted background for a gorgeous background to any card. A small embossed gold square makes a stunning focal point for this card.
Snowflakes stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on thick white cardstock set the bold background for the Basic Black and gold paper adhered to one side of the card. A gold die cut snowflake from the Twinkling Lights dies makes a focal point that pops in Distressed Gold Specialty paper. A pop of Cherry Cobbler DSP draws the eye to the bottom of this card.
All the directions for this embossed DSP card can be found on November 21st blog post! Love the Bokeh design in the DSP!
The three images above are three different colors of embossing powder and the directions for these cards are on my November 18th blog post for all the information!
These two photos above are a fun fold card that is detailed on my September 30th blog post as a bi-fold window flap fun fold card!
These card are just the tip of the iceberg that you can create with these beautiful specialty designer series papers! Try your hand at creating with these papers and some of the matching stamps, you will amaze yourself how easy it is to create with these lovely papers. Go out and create some art of your own – one stamp and one specialty DSP piece at a time!

adding depth and dimension to designer series paper

adding depth and dimension to designer series paper

Designer Series paper makes a card easy and fast but there is also a fun way to add depth and dimension with various embossing folders.

When you emboss paper there are two sides – the embossed side and the de-bossed side creating two separate looks.

Measurement:
BASE: Cherry Cobbler 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Layer: Basic White CS 4″ x 5 1/4″
DSP: 3″ x 6″
Distressed Gold Specialty paper: 1/4″ x 12″
Scrap of Basic White CS – for the sentiment

Cut the 6″ x 6″ DSP in half.

Run the 3″ pieces through the Wintry 3D embossing folder. The piece on the left is de-bossed and the piece on the right is embossed.
Each gives a slightly different look.
Stamp the inside sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink on the middle upper space of the inside layer. Adhere the Distressed Gold Specialty paper to the lower edge of the inside paper. Adhere the inside layer to the base card.
Adhere the 3″ piece to the center of the card front. Tuck the 1/4″ gold piece to the right side of the 3″ piece. I adhered the left-over piece to the left side of the 3″ piece but I changed my mind and adhered it over the sentiment piece at the end.
Die cut the largest Stylish Shapes banner and stamp the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Brightest Glow stamp set.
Adhere the Brushed Metallic Dots to the DSP.
Try embossing a sample of your own designer series paper – go out and create some art of your own – one stamp at a time!

easy lights aglow dsp card

easy lights aglow dsp card

One of the best things about our Designer Series papers is how gorgeous they are! The second best thing about them…how easy they make creating a card that is both beautiful and fast!

Measurements:
Base: Cheery Cobbler 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Distressed Gold Specialty paper 3 1/2″ square
Lights Aglow Specialty DSP 3″ square
Inside Layer 4″ x 5 1/4″

In the Lights Aglow paper stack there are several sheets of 4 – 3″x3″ designs on one 6″ x 6″ piece – the piece of DSP I choose is the Cheery Cobbler piece with the four gold foiled designs and cut them into 3″ squares.
Gather and cut all cardstock and DSP.

Stamp the inside layer with a sentiment from the Brightest Glow stamp set in coordinating Cherry Cobbler Ink and adhere to the inside back of the card base.
Adhere the Distressed Gold Specialty paper to the upper center of the Cherry Cobbler card front. Stamp the center of the gold foiled section with the smaller sentiment from the Brightest Glow stamp set, pop it up on Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhere to the 3 1/2″ square of distressed Gold Specialty paper.
Tie a bow from the Gold Shimmer ribbon and adhere to the center bottom of the card front with Mini Glue Dots.
Want to step it up emboss the sentiment to make it pop! I tried it in White and Gold Embossing Powder for to spectacular and unique looks!

Try this paper and see how easy creating quick, easy and lovely art of your own can be – one stamp at a time!

bi-fold window flap fun fold card

bi-fold window flap fun fold card

September was Fun Fold swap month – I love doing fun folds and this one was the first to arrive (I will show them in a blog post once I receive the majority of them in the mail!)
– it is a window bi-fold fun fold card and it is so simple I had to CASE it and detail it here for you! Thanks to fellow swap demonstrator Marie W for the inspiration and she credited Peggy N! thanks to both you creative ladies!

Measurments:
Base: Basic White CS 8 1/2″ square
scored at 4 1/4 on both sides
Lights Aglow DSP 4″ square
Distressed Gold 12″ x 12″ DSP 4″ square
scraps of Basic White for the sentiment

Score at 4 1/4″ on both sides.
Cut the top left corner out as shown in o
image.

Die cut the largest circle from the square below the empty space and cut a 1/16″ of an inch off the score line between the upper square and the empty space so the card will close easier without buckling.
Placing the open space in the upper left hand corner – stamp a sentiment in versamark and heat emboss with Gold Embossing powder on the diagonal space (lower right hand square)
Fold the top square downward and adhere the DSP 4″ square to the folded down flap.
Stamp the snowflake image from the Chistmas Lights stamp set in Versamark on the card front around the window opening and set with the heat tool and Gold embossing powder.
Add a gold shimmer ribbon to the card front circle window as shown in the photo below.
Adhere the Distressed Gold DSP to the back of the window opening and die cut the next circle die down from the largest in the Stylish Shapes die set .
Using the new Embossing accessories kit LOVE That this is back new and improved!!! – I embossed the outside sentiment and die cut with the small detailed circle die from the Twinkling Lights dies set.
I popped up the card front sentiment on Stampin’ Dimensionals and placed it through the card front window onto the Black DSP on the flap. I was a little uncentered with my circle so I took the opportunity to be creative and added additional Gold Shimmer Ribbon to the right side of the Lights Aglow DSP on the flap to balance the sentiment.
This was Marie W’s swap card that inspired my CASE card today!
And here is my finished version!
If you have wanted to try a fun fold lately this is a perfect one to start with – simple and easy but elegant!

Go out and create some art of your own – one stamp at a time!
