seaside bay flap fold sneak peak

Well I fell in love with another seaside stamp set! What can I say I am attracted to water! The Seaside Bay stamp set is lovely and the 6″ x 6″ Specialty Designer Series Paper By The Bay is absolutely gorgeous!

o 3” x 6” scored parallel to the short end at just over 5-3/8” (2)
• Base Cardstock – Crumb Cake
o 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” (2)
• Balmy Blue Colored Cardstock for Sentiment die cut from the largest Scalloped Circles die
o 3-1/4” x 3-1/4” scrap (1)
• Optional Inside Cardstock Layer
o Just under 3″ by 5-1/4″ (1)
• Gold Distressed Specialty Paper
o 4-1/8” x 5-3/8” for card #2
• Basic White Cardstock
o 4-1/8” x 5-3/8” (1)
o scrap for second largest circle in Stylish Shapes Dies
o scrap for third largest circle in Stylish Shapes Dies for card #2

I will show you two cards made from one 6″x 6″ DSP piece each using an opposing side facing front. The measurements above are to make two cards. This card is my own version of a recent video I viewed from my sister demonstrator, Rachel (at the end I photographed some cards I made using her design with the paper and stamp set that she highlighted I thought it was such a fun and easy card I decided to make my own version using the Seaside Bay stamps and paper!

Below is the photo of the papers cut for the first card.

Cut the By the Bay Specialty DSP in half at 3″ and then score parallel to the short side at just over the 5 3/8″ mark. Fold and adhere to the middle upper edge of the Basic White layer.
Adhere the white layer onto the base Crumb Cake layer.
Stamp the sentiment onto the Basic White scrap that is die cut from the second largest Stylish Shapes stitched circle. Then stamp a second generation crab image onto the circle as well (second generation means to stamp full strength onto a scrap piece of paper and then onto the circle without re-inking the stamp! This will give you a lighter image in the same color.
Adhere the smaller white circle onto the Balmy Blue circle die cut with the largest scalloped circle die in the Scalloped Circle die set. Place adhesive onto the left side of the circle and adhere the circle off center on the DSP so the circle is peaking off the edge of the DSP overlapping the white and just touching the Crumb Cake CS outer edge.
When you open the flap this is what the card looks like!
I added Iridescent Pastel Gems onto the sentiment piece to finish this card.
Repeat the same process with the second piece but flip it so the other side is facing to the front of the card and replace the Basic White layer with the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper.
Because the Distressed Gold adds so much color and texture I only used one Basic White layer for the sentiment piece. Stamp the sentiment and add a Pearl stamp as well.
I added the Iridescent Pastel Gems to this sentiment piece also.
This is what this second card looks when the flap is open. I added a Basic White inside piece to the inside for writing and stamped on it.
This is such an easy fun fold – hope you are inspired to try this and create some art of your own – one stamp at a time.

Happy Stamping,
Natalie

These are the cards I made from Rachel’s video examples – so cute these used the upcoming Sale-a-bration Adorable Owls stamp set and the Fancy Flora upcoming DSP!

The new mini catalog is due out in a couple weeks unbelievable how fast this year flew by!
January 5th starts the new January to April 2023 mini catalog. One of the things I love about being a demonstrator is the ability to order product early and before a catalog launch we can buy a few things to be able to prepare samples. This is the first set that I unpacked and am playing with! It’s called Country Bouquet punch bundle!

This first card uses the Country Gingham 6″ x 6″ DSP (48 sheets of 6 different gingham double sided gingham patterns in hues of Balmy Blue, Mint Macaron, Petal Pink and Sweet Sorbet) in a 4″ x 5 1/4″ layer in the Mint Macaron color.
The heart focal point is actually created with two stamps, the floral stamp is stamped in Sweet Sorbet and the second stamp is made up of the leave images and stamped in Mint Macaron to match the DSP. Because the stamps are clear photopolymer it is easy to line up the floral and leaf images! I fussy cut the large heart, stamped the double small heart outlines in Sweet Sorbet in the four corners and then stamped the double heart inserts in Mint Macaron. I stamped the sentiment in Sweet Sorbet in the center bottom and added new Iridescent Pastel Gems on either side of the sentiment.

This card sample used the heart punched out images in a surprising way! I stamped and punched out five hearts and adhered them in a circle using one small heart as the flower center. (Use a piece of copy paper and punch out the image on the copy paper and use as a guide to stamp the leaf image so that you can stamp the hearts and the leaves in the proper position to be able to punch them all out at once!
This card below uses the small leaf stem stamp in Parakeet Party as a background for the card. I stamped three of the open heart stamps in Sweet Sorbet and punched them out. Stamp the Happy Valentine’s Day sentiment onto a 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ strip to the left hand side and adhere to the lower third of the card. Adhere a 1″ x 5 1/2″ strip of the Country Gingham 6″ x 6″ DSP to the right hand side of the card over the sentiment piece. Adhere the three hearts over the 1″ strip – popping up the middle heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add Iridescent Pastel Sequins around the sentiment strip and this simple card is complete.
This card starts with a Sweet Sorbet cardstock base and stamps the small open double hearts around the perimeter of the card front. Cut a 3″ square and adhere to the upper middle of the card. Fussy cut a large heart stamped with Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party in a two step stamping technique. Adhere the large and smaller hearts from the punch around the large two toned heart and pop up the middle heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Stamp the sentiment in the lower middle of the card front and adhere the Iridescent Pastel Sequins to finish off the card with some sparkle!
My last and final sample will be one of the cards we will be making at our next library class! January 20th at the Conneaut Lake Margaret Schontz Memorial library – reservations will be available 30 days before and the class is expected to sell out! So excited to be there again!
This card uses the Balmy Blue paper in the Country Gingham DSP pack cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhered to a Basic White Thick cardstock base. The smaller solid double heart stamp is stamped down the right hand side and then a 1″ x 4″ piece of the Sweet Sorbet paper is adhered in the lower third of the Blue DSP.
I stamped the punch hearts in Sweet Sorbet and punched them out and adhered the larger below the smaller that I popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. Using a scrap 1/4″ strip I stamped two open hearts and the “With Love” sentiment and added the Iridescent Pastel Sequins to the card for a little bling!

Hope you cannot wait to see all the great new products in this upcoming mini catalog! Go out and stamp your own creations and create some art of your own – one stamp at a time!
