naturally gilded variation two

naturally gilded variation two

Well I had so much fun playing with the gorgeous Naturally Gilded Specialty Designer Series paper that I wanted to show you a simple variation on the card I posted Monday.

Measurements:
Base: Very Vanilla 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″ cut 1″ strip off the card
front’s right edge
Naturally Gilded SDSP: 4″ x 5 1/4″ cut an inch
off the right hand side
Brushed Metallic Specialty Paper 1 1/2″ strip
Very Vanilla: Save the 1″ strip cut from the card
for the die cut

Adhere the 3″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Specialty Designer series paper to the card front.
Adhere the 1″ strip of Specialty Designer Series Paper to the right inside edge of the card leaving a 1/8″ border around the right side and the top and bottom edges.
Cut a 5 1/2″ strip from the 1 1/2″ strip of Brushed Metallic Gold paper and then cut in half lengthwise so you end up with two pieces of 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ strips. Adhere the strip under the right edge of the card front, making sure that the border is even.
I die cut just a portion of the smaller long banner from the Stylish Shapes die set and hand trimmer a matte in Brushed Metallic Gold Specialty paper for the backing. Adhere together using Stampin’ Seal.
Die cut a small butterfly from the Brilliant Wings die set and add two mini Dimensionals to the center of the butterfly. Adhere to the top right hand side of the card front.
Pop up the sentiment and adhere to the bottom portion of the card aligning the edge of the sentiment piece to the edge of the Naturally Gilded paper.
Just removing an inch of cardstock from the original card front changes the look and feel of the card. Something so simple, yet very effective. Go and Create some art of your very own today! One stamp at a time!

Beautiful Specialty paper makes cards in a snap! The new Online eclusives Naturally Gilded 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper is no exception. 6 sheets of 12″ x 12″ foiled paper, 2 sheets in each of the three colors: Gold, Silver and Copper foils. They are beautiful.
Watch how easy a wow card comes together!

Measurements:
Base: Very Vanilla 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
DSP: 4″ x 5 1/4″
Brushed Metallic Gold Specialty paper:
1 1/2″ strip for die cuts
very vanilla 1″ strip for die cut

Cut all the papers and adhere the 4″ x 5 1/4″ DSP to the scored and folded Very Vanilla card front.
Die cut the largest banner from the Stylish Shapes Die set from the Gold Brushed metallic strip and cut the smaller long banner from the Very Vanilla strip. While die cutting take the smallest butterfly from the Brillant Wings die set and die cut it from the Gold Metallic strip as well.
Using the Happy Birthday straight sentiment from the Something Fancy stamp set, stamp in Versamark ink and sprinkle Gold Embossing powder from our Metallics embossing powder set. Heat set the Very Vanilla banner. Adhere it to the Gold larger banner with Stampin’ Seal.
Put Stampin’ Mini Dimensionals on the back of the metallic banner piece and place on the lower portion of the card front.
Place two mini Dimensionals on the butterfly die down the center of the butterfly and adhere to the upper left hand side of the card!
This paper stands all on it’s own so shiny and sparkly there is no need for anything else!
