The next swap card from Susan W features the Joy of Christmas DSP Christmas Classics bundle. Love cutting off the edge of the regular card turning it and using the cut piece as the sentiment matte!
Marcy W’s swap card uses the Online Exclusives Horse and Sleigh bundle and the paper is one that lends itself to the 3 panel scenery Zfold.
The Above It All Bundle steals the show on Judith P’s swap card with the Background Fragrant Forest stamp providing a stunning and easy background image.
Carol S’s swap card uses Christmas Classics Bundle and the Very Best Occasions with the easy cut and shuffle technique!
The very popular Truckin’ Along online exclusives bundle is back in stock and ready to make the holiday card making super fun – this card is a classic from Veronica S!
Marie W’s swap card uses the Night Divine bundle and the Cane Weave embossing folder for a sweet and classic design.
Carroll Ann A’s swap card also features the Horse and Sleigh online exclusives bundle! The pretty DSP makes these card super easy!

Lyn L’s swap card also uses the popular Joy of Christmas and Joyful Specialty DSP in varying sized strips for a fun and colorful Christmas card. The sentiment is from the Merriest trees stamp set.

Christmas Classics sentiment is the focal point  of Rachelle M’s  swap card with Adhesive Backed Sparkle gems to steal the show around the heat embossed sentiment!

This swap card was a late entry from August’s swap but Sue D’s card was worth the wait. The Stars At Night hybrid embossing folder bundle is a stunner and this card does not disappoint!

more color mondays – misty moonlight, night of navy and smoky slate

more color mondays – misty moonlight, night of navy and smoky slate

I figured we would just be settling down from the high of the wedding weekend so in honor of the Navy and Champagne theme of the wedding I did a color challenge with Navy!
Today’s More Color Monday challenge features Night of Navy, Misty Moonlight and Smoky Slate!

Measurements:
BASE: Smoky Slate CS 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Basic White layer: 4″ x 5 1/4″

It’s a simple card with lots of ink blending! I started with a simple strip scrap to mask the middle of the card and ink blended with the Misty Moonlight ink, blending towards the outside edges of the card.

I moved the strip to form a triangular opening for the shaft of starlight I wanted to create, and blended the Misty Moonlight towards the edge of the card stock on the opposite side of the card layer.
Moving outside the Misty Moonlight layer I blended the Night of Navy from the middle of the Misty Moonlight to the edge of the layer on both sides. This simulates the night growing darker.
Next I stamped in Smoky Slate in the upper right hand corner the starlight spray. Then I applied Versamark ink and stamped the larger grouping of stars in the middle of that starlight spray stamp. I added versamark and smaller stars around the sentiment also stamped in Versamark. I then sprinkled silver powder over the Versamark and heat embossed with the Heat Tool.
I added Smoky Slate with a Blending Brush to the center shaft of starlight.
I added a little more blending of Night of Navy above the star so that the Smoky slate shaft of starlight began at the larger star.
I added Silver and White Sheer ribbon to the bottom of the Basic White layer and adhered it to the Smoky Slate card base. I added Iridescent Pastel Gems in Blue around the sentiment. Love the sparkle this has!

Try your hand at a card with blue and silver and see what artwork of your very own you come up with – one stamp at a time!

more color mondays – flirty flamingo, soft seafoam and granny apple green

more color mondays – flirty flamingo, soft seafoam and granny apple green

Welcome to More Color Mondays Color Challenge – grab these three colors and go create some artwork of your very own and then share your creation with all in the comment section of today’s Facebook page at http://www.Facebook.com/nataliegramley
Today’s colors are more “springy” than Fall but they were calling to me so these are the colors you get to play with this week! Flirty Flamingo, Soft Seafoam and Granny Apple Green!
I used heat embossing as the technique and I really love the look of heat embossing it requires a heat tool which is similar to a streamlined hair dryer but it gets hotter and more focused! It melts the powder that is attached through a wet sticky clear embossing ink called Versamark.

Measurements:
BASE: Soft Seafoam 4 1/4″ x 11″
scored at 5 1/2″
scrap for sentiment piece
Basic White layer: 4″ x 5 1/4″

Stamp the floral and leaf designs in Versamark ink randomly around the Basic white cardstock layer and sprinkle with clear embossing powder.

Using the heat tool, melt the powder until it just turns shiny.
Using Blending Brushes, apply ink to the Basic White layer in a circular motion.
Stamp the birthday sentiment onto a Soft Seafoam scrap in Granny Apple Green ink and then overlay the thin sprig stamp in Soft Seafoam ink stamped off to create a lighter image in the background of the sentiment piece. Die cut with the second smallest banner from the Nested Essentials die set.
Tie the lovely new Silver and white Sheer ribbon from the Sept to Dec Mini Catalog around the center of the Basic White embossed layer.
Adhere the embossed layer to the Soft Seafoam card base and then using Stampin’ Dimensionals pop up the sentiment piece over the ribbon.
Add three 2022-2024 In Color Pearls to the card front to add a little bling in green! Your card is ready to send off in the mail and spread some joy!

Go out and create some art of your own in this color challenge trio – one stamp at a time!

quick and simple triple panel card using the snowflake specialty paper

quick and simple triple panel card using the snowflake specialty paper

This is my favorite paper in the entire new July to December 2022 mini catalog – the Snowflake 12″ x12″ Specialty Vellum contains 6 sheets 2 of each design including iridescent foiling and white flocking – just stunning!

Measurements:
Base: Basic White cardstock 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Silver Foil 4″ x 5 1/4″
Snowflake Vellum three pieces cut
consecutively at 3 1/4″ x 1 3/8″

Using the spaces on the vellum that are covered with iridescent foil – hide the mini Stampin’ Dimensional on the three pieces of vellum.
Adhere the vellum to the Silver foil.
Adhere the Silver Foil piece to the Basic White card base
Using a scrap piece of Basic White CS stamp in Versamark the word Joy from the Brightest Glow stamp set. Pour Silver Embossing powder over the Versamark ink and tap off the excess back into the container of powder.
Using the heat tool, heat set the Silver Embossing powder with the heat tool until it turns shiny.
Die cut with the smaller circle die from the Labels Aglow die set and adhere to the card.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this paper!!!!

watercolor resist

watercolor resist

Emboss Resist is a technique using Versamark, embossing powder and a heat gun to heat and melt the powder forming a protective layer that will resist the coloring wash that we will place over the watercolor paper leaving the embossed areas white and coloring the non embossed areas!

Measurements:
Base Card: Tahitian Tide 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Watercolor paper 3 1/2″ x 5″
Scrap Basic White for the sentiment piece

Using Versamark stamp the Dragonflies from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set. Sprinkle clear embossing powder, and heat with the Heat Tool until the powder is melted.
Liberally add water to the watercolor paper, add ink to the watery paper. Adding more ink and water until the design is achieved.
Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the watercolor paper and pop up the embossed resist paper. Stamp the sentiment on a die cut from the Stylish Shapes die set (#159183) and Glossy Dots (#158827).
Fun Technique – try this with a stamp set you have and go out and create some art of your own. One stamp at a time!
