more color mondays – summer splash, berry burst, lemon lime twist

Today’s More Color Monday Color Challenge is right in my wheel house. Summer Splash, Berry Burst, and Lemon Lime Twist are bright and cheery and perfect for this snowy week that we have been having! Dreaming of summer and warmer weather already this card has all the summer vibes! This fun fold is called a Bi-Fold Shutter Card and it is a great fun fold!

Measurements:
BASE: Summer Splash CS: 4 1/4″ x 9 3/4″
Berry Burst CS:
1) 2 5/8″ x 3 7/8″
2) 1 7/8″ x 2 3/8″
3) 1 7/8″ x 2 3/8″
4) 1 7/8″ x 3 7/8″
5) 1 1/8″ x 1 7/8″
6) 1 1/8″ x 1 7/8″
DSP:
1) 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″
2) 1 3/4″ x 2 1/4″
3) 1 3/4″ x 2 1/4″
4) 1 3/4″ x 3 3/4″
5) 1″ x 1 3/4″
6) 1″ x 1 3/4″
Basic White CS: scraps for die cuts
Lemon Lime Twist CS: scrap for die cuts

Adhere the DSP layers to the corresponding DSP layers.
Place the 4 1/4″ side of the Summer Splash Base piece on the upper edge of the Stampin’ Trimmer and place the left edge at 1 1/2″ mark.
Cut from the 3″ mark to 7 1/2″.
Remove the paper and turn 180 degrees to the 9 3/4″ side with the cut side at the bottom.
Score at the 3″ mark from the top of the cardstock down to the cut line.
Score at the 5 1/4″ mark from the top of the card to the bottom.
Score at the 7 1/2″ from the cut line to the bottom of the card.
Adhere the DSP and a Colored Cardstock layers to the corresponding numbered panels, see the numbered panels on the photo below.
Adhere the panel to the number 1 area.
Adhere the panels to 5 and 6.
Finish adhering all of the DSP panels to their corresponding panels on the card.
Die cut one of the smaller circles and the seaweed in Lemon Lime Twist card stock.
Die cut the largest banner from the Stylish Shapes die set in Basic White CS.
Stamp the “hello friend” in Berry Burst ink.
Stamp the crab in Lemon Lime Twist ink, stamping off once for the base of the crab. Stamp the outline in full strength Lemon Lime Twist.
Stamp the bubbles in Summer Splash on the banner.
Stamp two crabs in Summer Splash, stamp off the base of the two step stamp and stamp the outline in Summer Splash full strength. Die cut them out.
Adhere the banner to the Lemon Lime Twist circle and adhere to the first panel.
Adhere the first crab to panel 5.
Adhere the Lemon Lime Twist seaweed to panel #3 and then adhere the second crab above the seaweed. Cut the seaweed and crab that hang below the cut line.
Place Iridescent Adhesive-Backed Discs on the card.
This 3D card stands on his own and is a WOW card – try this with DSP or colored cardstock that you have in your stock and let me know what you create!

Today I’m using a a stamp bundle I have not used for a while – Delicate Forest bundle.

Measurements:
BASE: Poppy Parade CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
scraps for the foliage die cuts
Basic White CS: (2) 4″ x 5 1/4″
scrap for the sentiment piece

Take the large foliage stamp and stamp on one of the 4″ x 5 1/4″ in Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, and Poppy Parade inks.
Die cut the frame from the Delicate Forest die.
Adhere the frame over the Basic White CS layer and adhere both to the Poppy Parade base.
Die cut the twin foliage strip in Poppy Parade cardstock.
Adhere the strip to the bottom of the card.
Stamp the sentiment on the Basic White sentiment die in Poppy Parade ink.
Adhere to the outside of the foliage frame and pop up the right side of the sentiment piece.
Adhere two more foliage die cuts from the Delicate Forest die set to either side of the card bottom.
Adhere three Iridescent Adhesive-Backed Discs onto the card front.

thoughtful journey dsp tri-fold fun fold card

Today’s blog post details the instructions of how to make this tri-fold fun fold card. A perfect palette to display this lovely Designer Series Paper called Thoughtful Journey.

Measurements:
BASE 1: Berry Burst CS: 5 1/2″ x 6 1/4″
scored at 2″
BASE 2: Berry Burst CS: 5 1/4″ x 8 1/4″
scored at 4 1/8″
DSP: 1 3/4″ x 5″ on card front 1
3 7/8″ x 5″ on card front 2
Focal point 1:
Berry Burst CS: 2 1/2″ x 4 1/4″
Basic White CS: 2 1/4″ x 4″
Focal Point 2:
Berry Burst CS: 2 1/4″ x 4″
Basic White CS: 2″ x 3 3/4″
Basic White CS: 4″ x 5 1/4″

Adhere the BASE #2 (5 1/4″ x 8 1/4″ piece) of Berry Burst CS with the opening to the left to the larger portion of the BASE #1 with the smaller panel to the left of the larger adhered panels.
Adhere the 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White layer to the middle panel of the card base.
Adhere the 1 3/4″ x 5″ DSP piece to the outside smaller panel on the BASE #1.
Adhere the 3 7/8″ x 5″ DSP Piece to the outside of the Left flap of BASE #2.
Stamp the open leaf stamp from the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set in Mossy Meadow on the 2 1/4″ x 4″ Basic White piece. Stamp the sentiment on top in Berry Burst ink and color the edges with the Blending Brush.
Adhere the Basic White layer to the 2 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ Berry Burst layer.
Stamp the smaller group of flowers on 2″
x 3 3/4″ in Shaded Spruce ink on the bottom of the layer.
Color the inside of the leaves with the water painter. Color the petals with Berry Burst ink.
Adhere the Basic White layer to the 2 1/4″ x 4″
Berry Burst layer and add small strips to finish off the layer.
Adhere the two layers back to back on the smaller panel.
Stamp an inside sentiment onto the 4″ x 5 1/4″ on the inside of the card.
I die cut the large die from the Thoughtful Wishes out of a water splattered Berry Burst blended layer.
Adhere the die cut to the left inside panel.
Add some Iridescent Discs to either side of the die cut on the inside of the card.
Adhere more Iridescent Discs to the card front.

Another beautiful extended fun fold that allows for multiple messages!

This sparkly slimline card is a great Christmas card full of fun and lots of glimmer!

Slimline Measurements:
BASE: Basic White CS: 7″ x 8 .5″
scored at 3.5″
2.5″ strips for Decorative Trees dies
scrap for the sentiment
In Color Glimmer Specialty Paper 2.5″ strips of
each color
Pool Party Two-Toned cardstock 8 1/2″ x 11″
scored at 2 1/2″, 6 1/2″ on the 8.5″ side
scored at 1 1/2″, 10 1/2″ on the 11″ side

Take the 2.5″ strips of the In Color Glimmer Specialty Paper and die cut the solid large tree.
Take 2.5″ strips of Basic White CS with each different tree designs.
Cut two glimmer trees a little smaller for the swirly smaller tree and one smaller holly leaf tree.

Score the 7″ x 8.5″ card base at 3.5″.
Use a water painter in Summer Splash ink and splatter the card base.
Splatter the card base with the Summer Splash marker, creating diffuse and more marked splatters on the card base.
Blend with a blending brush of each In Color and glue the matching color onto each In Color Glimmer Tree.
Adhere onto the slimline card.
Blend some of the corresponding colors under the trees.
Stamp the “O Christmas Tree” in Summer Splash ink and blend the ends. Pop up the sentiment onto the card front.
Adhere Iridescent Adhesive-Backed Discs onto the card base.
Cut the 12″ x 12″ Pool Party Two-Toned cardstock into 8.5″ x 11″.
Score the 2 1/2″ and 6 1/2″ onto the 8 1/2″ side.
Score the 1 1/2″ and 10 1/2″ onto the 11″ side.
Cut flaps in both sides.
Fold all score lines.
Glue the smaller, long panel over onto the larger panel on the 11″ side.
Glue the smaller flap onto the bottom of the hand-made envelope.
This slim line card and hand-made envelopeis a fun and glimmery Christmas card full of awesome Decorative Trees!
I love these Glimmer Specialty Paper and the sweet sparkly trees, you need some of this paper!

double panel designer series paper fun fold

This double panel Designer Series Paper fun fold is a really fun and easy WOW card with a simple belly band and a few score lines you can make this card with the paper you have lying around. Read on to learn just how easy it is!

Measurements:
BASE: Pool Party CS: 5 1/2″ x 11
scored at 1 1/4″, 5 1/2″, and 9 1/4″
1 1/2″ x 11″ for the belly band
DSP: (2) 1″ x 5 1/4″
1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″
Basic White: 4″ x 5 1/4″

Fold the card base at the 5 1/2″ score line with the edges to the left.
Fold the other two score lines back towards the right (towards the 5 1/2″ score line.

Cut the Designer Series paper to 5 1/4″ and then into three strips (2) 1″ x 5 1/4″ and
(1) 1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″.
Cut the Basic White layer to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhere to the second panel of the base card.
Adhere the 1″ strips of DSP to the inside and outside of the first panel.
Adhere the 1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ piece of DSP to the inside of the last and fourth panel.
In Tuxedo Black memento ink I stamped the inside sentiment on the Basic White inside layer of the card.
Die cut a large circle from the Spotlight on Nature die set and stamp in Tuxedo black Memento ink the Happy Birthday from the Unbounded Love stamp set.
Die cut leaves from the Changing Leaves die set and adhere to the circle die.
Take the 1 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Pool Party and gently wrap around the closed card, Adhere the ends together and add the circle die to the belly band front.
I had some extra pieces of scrap Full of Life DSP so i added them to the inside of the card.
I decided I wanted the full leaves on the bottom of the circle for more of a balanced look and I added Classic Matte Dots to finish off this lovely fun fold card!
