country flowers side accordion card

country flowers side accordion card

I ran across this Side Accordion card from Claire O, a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator from England and I redid the measurements so it would fit into a standard American A2 envelope! Hope you like this fun fold! I used the Country Wood DSP and the Country Flowers bundle.

scrap Basic White for sentiment and die cut flowers and teapot
scrap Basic Black for piece under sentiment strip
Scrap Basic White for the inside sentiment and note writing space – I die cut one of the larger dies from the Countryside Corners die set for this piece

Take the 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Basic White and score at 5 1/2″, 6 7/8″, 8 1/4″ and 9 5/8″.
Place the four smaller sections on the left-hand side of the card.

Cut a piece of DSP to 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ and adhere to the back panel of the 4 1/4″ x 11″ card base.
Die cut a scrap of Basic White with one of the larger Countryside Corners dies.

Stamp in Misty Moonlight the inside sentiment from the Country Flowers stamp set on the lower right-hand side of the die.

Adhere to the center of the back panel.

Cut the front panel piece at 3 1/4″ x 9 1/2″ and score on the long side in half at 4 3/4″.
Cut 2 pieces of Country Wood DSP at 3 1/8″ x 4 5/8″ and adhere to the outside panels of the front card piece.
Adhere the front card in the center of the first and fourth panels with Tear n Tape.
Stamp and color with Stampin’ Blends the teapot and the flowers from the Country Flowers bundle.
Adhere the teapot to the right hand side of the front card piece.
Die cut the flowers and pop up with Stampin’ Dimensionals above the teapot.
Stamp the best froend ever sentiment onto a scrap of Basic White CS and cut out with diagonal edges on both ends.
Take a piece of scrap black and cut with the same diagonal cuts a little longer than the sentiment strip and =adhere underneath the word strip. Pop up the strip below the teapot on the card.
I decided to place a little of the upcoming Navy Natural Tones Linen thread curled around the sentiment piece and added milky dots as embellishments!

This fun fold card stands up and displays – I love how this turned out!

may swap cards provide a lot of ideas

may swap cards provide a lot of ideas

May swap cards are in and full of great ideas with new stamp sets and bundles from the new 2024-2025 Annual Catalog.

Come along with me and see all the great cards and ideas I received from my monthly demonstrator swap.

This first card is from my upline’s sister Denise W who organizing the swap every month – she picks themes, sends out reminders and addresses and does alot of work to make these swaps happen and I am so grateful because I love getting all of the new ideas and samples of sets I did not buy! Her card is super colorful and uses the Full of Life 6″ x 6″ DSP which is my favorite in the catalog and the one I wanted to win at OnStage! She combined this colorful paper with the adorable Sweet Pea stamp set, the Dotted Circles embossing folder, Iridescent Faceted Gems, the Iridescent White striped ribbon and the Modern Oval Punch. Such a cute card!

Lori V used the So Swirly embossing folder on Bubble Bath to create a fun background for this Attention Shoppers treat yourself card. The sentiment is popped up on the Nested Essentials die and surrounded by die cut outs from the stamp set!
Carol S’s swap card used both the Thoughtful Wishes and unbounded Love bundles and drew color inspiration from the Thoughtful Journeys DSP in Wild Wheat and Pretty Peacock dies, ink and embellishments. Love the colors on this one!
This swap card made by Veronica S uses a tri panel of Basic Beige and Country Lace DSP to break up the card front and bring interest to the background such an easy technique! She overlaid the tri-panel background with die cuts from the Country Flowers bundle and colored them with Stampin’ Blends! She embellished with Iridescent Foil Gems to finish off this sweet card!
Marie W’s swap card used analogous colors of cardstock from out Stampin’ up! color Wheel in Peach Pie, Pumpkin Pie and Lemon Lime Twist – what a great and unexpected color combination! The Attention Shoppers bundle shines with this color coordination. She used the Dotted Circles 3D embossing folder for the background and the Distressed tiles and DSP for the bags. She used the coordinating Adhesive-Backed Dappled Dots and Peach Pie Bordered ribbon to tie it all together!
The next card was designed by my downline Robyn M. and she did such a great job with her double panel Z fold card using the Country Flowers stamp set and colored it beautifully with Stampin’ Blends markers coordinating it with the Country Woods DSP in the background!
Lyn L’s swap card features the Stippled Roses stamp set stamped in Gorgeous Grape and cut apart and adhered to the Gorgeous Grape cardstock base. Just cutting the image into pieces provides interest and dimension to the project! She popped up the sentiment onto Stampin’ Dimensionals and added Rhinestones Basic Jewels to finish the card with a lot of sparkle!
Judy P’s swap card features the Thoughtful Journeys DSP, the Thoughtful Wishes bundle and the Adhesive-Backed Pearl Trio and some upcoming Natural Tones Linen Thread to finish it off!
Susan W used the Eyelets 3D embossing folder on Basic Black cardstock as the background for the card base and embossed with Versamark and clear embossing powder the Leaf Collection Background stamp for a shiny tone on tone focal point for the card. She stamped and popped up the So Sincere sentiment onto the Unbounded Beauty DSP and cut it out and it’s matte from the Perennial Postage dies to finish off a stunning, contrasting card!
Robin C’s card uses 1″ x 4″ strips of Unbounded Beauty DSP embossed with the Eyelet 3D embossing folder on a z fold Basic Black card base, in color shimmer gems and a lovely die cut sentiment piece from the Unbounded Love Bundle finish the card off nicely!
I love Kathi D’s swap card using the Lily Pond Lane suite of products to produce a peek-a-boo window of lily pads and cat-tails with the Thoughtful Journeys DSP in the background. The sentiment is die cut from the Deckled rectangles die set and popped up on a layer of Early Espresso. Such a great idea and color combination inspired again by our awesome DSP!
I hope these swap cards give you as much inspiration as they do for me!

Now it is your turn to go and create some art work of your very own – one stamp at a time!
