How fun is it to get a card in the mail but how much more fun is it when the card is interactive and pops out with dangling hearts for a special friend for Valentine’s day!

Well, this card is the ticket! With the simple addition of a band of cardstock you can create a pop out feature to be able to hang your heart punches on!

BASE: Poppy Parade 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″

(1) cut to 3″ square
Basic White (1) piece cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″

scrap for the heart punches and the securing
band

Stamp in Poppy Parade ink four sets of hearts from the Country Bouquet stamp set and punch out the hearts saving the negative space paper for the next step.

Turn the negative space paper over and place the hearts back into the punched space upside down so they fit into the negative spaces. Clean off the double heart stamp and stick to the acrylic block upside down as if this was a reversible stamp, ink in Poppy Parade and stamp the backside of the punched out hearts. Because we will be mounting these onto string and they will be free floating and able to spin you want to adhere a reverse image to the backside so that it will be pretty if it spins – you could adhere a plain Basic White punched heart onto the backside but I wanted the heart to be stamped in color)

Using Tear N Tape secure a line of string or trim to the middle of the heart over the Tear N Tape and secure the other heart over the bottom heart.
Repeat the procedure for two smaller hearts.
Using a scrap of 1/4 – 1/2″ x 4″ strip of Basic white cardstock fold it in half and adhere Tear N Tape to the strip and placing the large heart at the fold and the two smaller hearts on either side secure them with the strip of Basic White Cardstock on the backside of the pop up strip of Poppy Parade cardstock.
On the front side of the Poppy Parade strip add the four sections of 1 3/8″ x 2″ of DSP.
Add Tear N Tape to the back of the 2 outside sections and removing the release paper of the Tear N Tape adhere each outer edge to the card edge.
Add the 3 7/8″ x 4″ pieces of Basic White cardstock to the inside bottom panels of the card base.
Add the 1/2″ x 4″ strip of DSP to each white inside section.
The inside of the card is complete!
Adhere the basic white layer to the card front.
Adhere the larger DSP piece to the White layer.
Stamp the sentiment in Poppy Parade ink to the lower right hand side of the 3″ square piece of DSP and adhere to the card front.
Pop up a large and small heart and add a smaller heart close to the sentiment on the 3″ square. Add 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots to the card front and the card is complete. Ready to send out and create a little joy in a special friends life!

Go out today and create some art of your own – one stamp at a time – isn’t that what the joy of stamping is all about!

The new mini catalog is due out in a couple weeks unbelievable how fast this year flew by!
January 5th starts the new January to April 2023 mini catalog. One of the things I love about being a demonstrator is the ability to order product early and before a catalog launch we can buy a few things to be able to prepare samples. This is the first set that I unpacked and am playing with! It’s called Country Bouquet punch bundle!

This first card uses the Country Gingham 6″ x 6″ DSP (48 sheets of 6 different gingham double sided gingham patterns in hues of Balmy Blue, Mint Macaron, Petal Pink and Sweet Sorbet) in a 4″ x 5 1/4″ layer in the Mint Macaron color.
The heart focal point is actually created with two stamps, the floral stamp is stamped in Sweet Sorbet and the second stamp is made up of the leave images and stamped in Mint Macaron to match the DSP. Because the stamps are clear photopolymer it is easy to line up the floral and leaf images! I fussy cut the large heart, stamped the double small heart outlines in Sweet Sorbet in the four corners and then stamped the double heart inserts in Mint Macaron. I stamped the sentiment in Sweet Sorbet in the center bottom and added new Iridescent Pastel Gems on either side of the sentiment.

This card sample used the heart punched out images in a surprising way! I stamped and punched out five hearts and adhered them in a circle using one small heart as the flower center. (Use a piece of copy paper and punch out the image on the copy paper and use as a guide to stamp the leaf image so that you can stamp the hearts and the leaves in the proper position to be able to punch them all out at once!
This card below uses the small leaf stem stamp in Parakeet Party as a background for the card. I stamped three of the open heart stamps in Sweet Sorbet and punched them out. Stamp the Happy Valentine’s Day sentiment onto a 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ strip to the left hand side and adhere to the lower third of the card. Adhere a 1″ x 5 1/2″ strip of the Country Gingham 6″ x 6″ DSP to the right hand side of the card over the sentiment piece. Adhere the three hearts over the 1″ strip – popping up the middle heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add Iridescent Pastel Sequins around the sentiment strip and this simple card is complete.
This card starts with a Sweet Sorbet cardstock base and stamps the small open double hearts around the perimeter of the card front. Cut a 3″ square and adhere to the upper middle of the card. Fussy cut a large heart stamped with Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party in a two step stamping technique. Adhere the large and smaller hearts from the punch around the large two toned heart and pop up the middle heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Stamp the sentiment in the lower middle of the card front and adhere the Iridescent Pastel Sequins to finish off the card with some sparkle!
My last and final sample will be one of the cards we will be making at our next library class! January 20th at the Conneaut Lake Margaret Schontz Memorial library – reservations will be available 30 days before and the class is expected to sell out! So excited to be there again!
This card uses the Balmy Blue paper in the Country Gingham DSP pack cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhered to a Basic White Thick cardstock base. The smaller solid double heart stamp is stamped down the right hand side and then a 1″ x 4″ piece of the Sweet Sorbet paper is adhered in the lower third of the Blue DSP.
I stamped the punch hearts in Sweet Sorbet and punched them out and adhered the larger below the smaller that I popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. Using a scrap 1/4″ strip I stamped two open hearts and the “With Love” sentiment and added the Iridescent Pastel Sequins to the card for a little bling!

Hope you cannot wait to see all the great new products in this upcoming mini catalog! Go out and stamp your own creations and create some art of your own – one stamp at a time!
