Copper Clay scraps for stippled rose leaf die

Using the large abstract stamp from Artistically Inked and Old Olive ink stamp in the center of the Basic White card front, in multiple directions to cover the center of the card.
Die cut the Old Olive piece with the smaller leaf die from the Stippled Rose die set. Cut in a diagonal pattern with the stem towards the inside and the leaves facing opposite corners. Save these for another project!
Stamp the straight sentiment You are loved beyond measure in Copper Clay ink on the left hand side bottom of this Old Olive layer.

Die cut the larger stippled leaves in Copper Clay cardstock scraps and adhere in the opposite diagonal as the die cut windows.
Cut a small length of Copper Clay ribbon and fold in half with the loop at the top end. Place a strip of adhesive in the middle of the two Copper Clay die cuts and adhere the ribbon diagonally over the window die cut images.
Die cut a small circle die from the Stylish Shapes dies in Boho Blue cardstock and position the circle over a bird from the Flight and Airy Sale-a-bration DSP adhere them on a diagonal and pop up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.

pretty pleats extended

pretty pleats extended

Same beautiful paper as Wednesday and the same fold just bigger and better!

This is the Pretty Pleats extended version using a 4″ x 12″ piece of DSP. Twice the fun and 7 score lines!

Measurements:
Base: Basic White 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″
layer: 3 3/4″ x 5″ embossed
DSP: 4″ x 12″ scored at 3″,4″,5″,6″,7″,8″ and 9″
scraps for dies
Boho Blue layer 4″ x 5 1/4″ scraps for dies

You will notice in the photo above that the Boho Blue layer is die cut – this is a matted layer and you will only see about 1/4″ around the outside – so why not use the inside for your die cuts – waste not want not!
Adhere this Boho Blue layer onto the card front.
Score the 4″ x 12″ piece of DSP at 3″, 4″, 5″ 6″, 7″, 8″, and 9″ then using your bone score each edge well.

Adhere the left hand panel to the left inside edge of the card leaving an even 1/8″ border on the top, bottom and left hand edge.

Adhere the larger right hand panel to the right inside edge of the card leaving the same 1/8″ spacing on the top, bottom and right side.
Using the third smallest Stylish Shapes circle die I cut birds from the Flight and Airy Sale-a-bration paper and mounted them on Boho Blue circles die cut from the 4rth smallest circle in the pack.
I cut a leaf pattern from one of the small circles and stamped the Happy Mother’s Day greeting from the Stippled Roses I went over the sentiment with our Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker to highlight the cursive writing.
Adhere the first bird circle high on the first pleat.
Adhere the sentiment to the middle of the second pleat.
Adhere the last bird circle to the bottom of the third pleat.
They should be in a cascading pattern so that each is visible.
I added the Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies and Birds to both the card front and the inside to finish off this awesome pleated fold card!
I added Dragonflies to the card front
I love the way it stands hands-free for an awesome display of your artwork!

more color mondays – misty moonlight, balmy blue and boho blue

more color mondays – misty moonlight, balmy blue and boho blue

I have said it before and it’s worth repeating our Designer Series Paper makes color coordination super easy and fun!

Today’s More Color Monday is a study in blues and no easier way to do that than being inspired from our Countryside Inn 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper featuring 4 different blues – Night of Navy, Misty moonlight, Balmy Blue and Boho Blue!

I chose three of those four blues for today’s color challenge card.

Measurements:
BASE: Misty Moonlight 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Balmy Blue layer: 4″ x 5 1/4″
Basic White layer: 4″ x 5 1/4″
DSP layer: 4″ x 5 1/4″

Die cut the Balmy Blue layer with the largest Countryside Corners dies.
Die cut the Basic White and DSP layer with the second largest die.

With a Misty Moonlight marker, ink the outermost layer of the Countryside Corners stamp and lay the paper on top of the stamp and rub to transfer the ink.
Place the card front inside the hatchmark embossing folder of the three set folders included in the Basics 3D Embossing Folders set and emboss the front of the Misty Moonlight card base.
Stamp the thinking of you sentiment from the Wonderful Thoughts stamp set in the lower center of the Basic White die in Boho Blue ink. Cut the DSP die cut into gradually smaller strips and adhere four strips to the Basic White die cut.
Pop up the White die onto the Balmy Blue die with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Slip Boho Blue Textured Ribbon under the white popped up layer and tie a know over the white/DSP layer.
Add three Ombre Decorative Dots around the sentiment.
Adhere this layer to the card base and your lovely study in blues card is complete.

Now it’s your turn to create some art of your own – grab all your blues and make a card – consider sharing your work with all of us on my Facebook page at http://www.Facebook.com/nataliegramley in today’s comment section!

exploring luster paper

exploring luster paper

I am one of those people that LOVES glitter – don’t care that it is messy just love the sparkle! But if you can get the sparkle without the mess even better right? I love Wink of Stella for that reason but the new 2023-2025 In Color 12″ x 12″ Luster Specialty paper is next level – all the sparkle and shimmer with none of the mess!

The Boho Blue Luster paper brought to mind the shimmer of the water and I just knew that I wanted to make a Waves of Inspiration card!

Measurements:
Base: Azure Afternoon 4 1/4″ x 11″
scored at 5 1/2″
Luster paper: 4″ x 5 1/4″
Basic white Layer inside: (2) 4 ” x 5 1/4″
scraps for wave, cloud sentiment and bird
dies

Using the third largest Deckled Frame die cut one of the Basic White layers. Adhere a window sheet to the frame.
Die cut the card front with the same size deckle Frame die. Add the White frame/Window Sheet side inside to the inside of the card front covering the opening you just made.
Die cut the same frame in the Luster paper layer and using the inside part of the die cut a wave die from the left over inside square.
Die cut out of Basic White scraps, 2 clouds, 4 birds, 1 wave.
Stamp the sentiment and die cut the sentiment piece.
Adhere the Boho Blue Luster paper wave over the window sheet and then glue the white wave over the blue one. You will need to trim the edges to fit under the Boho Blue Luster frame.
Add a pencil mark where the wave edge should be to match up on the Basic White Cardstock inside layer and then stamp the wave from the Waves of Inspiration stamp set onto the white layer.
Adhere the layer to the inside of the card.
I added Wink of Stella to the inside wave – it is impossible to photograph the subtle sparkle of the wave but trust me it is fabulous!
Adhere the Luster paper frame to the outside of the card covering the wave edges and add the clouds and birds to the frame around the edges.
Add three Tinsel Four-pack gems to the card front.
Add the sentiment piece to the center bottom of the outside luster frame and the card is complete. I LOVE the shine!!
