february swap cards

february swap cards

Most every month I swap cards with my upline, downline and sideline demonstrators and the cards are lovely and inspirational and i love to share them with you all!

We did not swap in March and I am just getting around to photographing and posting the February cards I received.

This first card by Carol S. features the new Online Exclusive Simply Zinnias suite of products. She used the stamps, coordinating DSP, lovely Zinnias 3D Embossing Folder, and the coordinating Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins. It’s probably difficult to see in the photo but she adhered the DSP to the Basic White layer first and then embossed the entire thing so all three of the pieces of paper are embossed – a subtle and striking touch!

Maria W’s swap card used the Excellent Eggs Bundle of products and the Lighter Than Air DSP, blends to color in the smaller egg images, Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots and Bakers Twine. Such a cute gate-fold Easter card!
Denise W organizes the swap each month and this is her swap card featuring the Easter Bunny stamp set, the Cane Weave Embossing Folder, and the Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems. She colored in the images with assorted Stampin’ Blends and the DSP is Delightfully Eclectic.
This next swap card from Ginger S used the Thoughtful Expressions stamp set, colored with Stampin’ Blends and Blending brushes, Wink of Stella and accented with Iridescent Pearls and the Faux Leather Trim.
Jeanna T’s swap card used the Hello Ladybug stamp set and the Ladybug Builder punch which are both on the Last Chance list! I love the way she punched the wings twice in Lemon Lolly cardstock and popped up the second set to give the wings depth and dimension!
Veronica S’s swap card uses the retiring Bee Mine DSP and the sweetly scripted sentiment set from the newest Online Exclusives release! Such a great sentiment set – you need to check out this one!
Kathi D’s swap card uses the new Online Exclusive Fluffiest Friends stamp set, the soon to be retiring Just Kidding DSP and the also retiring stitched with Whimsy dies. Too cute I love the B side of this DSP so versatile!
My downline Robyn designed this cute Bird’s Eye View card in Granny Apple Green cardstock and ink with the Black and Vanilla Large Check ribbon, the 2 3/8″ circle punch and blending brush to shade the circle! Love these little birds – aren’t they so cute!
Furriest Friends makes another appearance this time with the bear stamp in Judith P’s swap card she used the Earthen Textures DSP as the background and the Timber 3D embossing folder on Copper Clay cardstock.
Lori V’s card features the Filled with Happiness mini catalog stamp set which is also on the last chance list and punched and colored in the stamps center image. The Modern Oval punch will be continuing in the upcoming catalog!
Lyn L’s swap card uses a monochromatic take on the Stippled Roses stamp set in Blueberry Bushel on Boho Blue cardstock – simple and elegant!
Susan W’s WIld Fern swap card in delightful in tones of Lost Lagoon using the Perennial Lavender DSP and the Lost Lagoon Bordered ribbon. The stamp set and the DSP will be in the new catalog but the ribbon will be retiring!
The last card to arrive was a sweet one using the Adoring Hearts bundle from the current mini catalog from Jennie T. This bundle has a hybrid embossing folder that also cuts out the hearts at the same time – this will be an encore! product and will still be available in the new catalog but this will be the last few weeks to get the 10% discount on the bundle if you like it all! They will all be available with the release of the new catalog but the bundle pricing goes away! The current hostess code is 3HZGPJSS if you want this or any of the items on the Last Chance List! get them before they are gone!
Hope that these cards inspired you to go and create some art work of your own – one stamp at a time!

bee mine partial fun front fun fold

bee mine partial fun front fun fold

Today’s card is a partial front fun fold featuring the Bee Mine Suite. This card starts out with a
4 1/4″ x 11″ Basic White cardstock piece scored at 4 1/4″

Measurements:
BASE: Basic White CS: 4 1/4″ x 11″
scored at 4 1/4″ and cut to 9 3/4″ off the
larger panel
DSP: (1) 1 1/4″ x 4″ (1) 1″ x 4″
Vellum: scrap
Basic White CS: scraps for hearts and flower
stamps and sentiment

Score the 4 1/4″ x 11″ at 4 1/4″ making a square panel and a larger panel then cut then larger panel at the 9 3/4″ mark.

Die cut with the largest rectangular die from the new Everyday Details die set close to the edge of the 4 1/4″ square portion of the card.

Adhere the 1 1/4″ x 4″ DSP to the portion of the card front closest to the score.
Adhere the 1″ x 4″ DSP to the right side of the card base maintaining an even border around the top, bottom, and right side of the card inside.
Stamp the bee body in Daffodil Delight int and the stripes over the body and the desired face in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and punch the body out with the Bee Builder punch.
Closing the card front, mark the opening lightly with a pencil mark. Then mark where you want to place the bee body so the face is poking out of the left hand side of the die opening. Stamp the antennae in Memento Tuxedo black ink at the top pencil body mark and the two wings in Pool Party at the side pencil marks. If the pencil marks are still visible erase them now.
Adhere the bee body over the stamped images on the card inside.
Stamp flowers in Pool Party ink around the bee.
Take a scrap of Vellum cardstock and die cut the double circle from the new Everyday Details die set which is destined to become one of my favorites from this new January to April 2024 Mini Catalog! (If you die cut it in the center of a 3 1/2″ square save the outside negative die cut for another card – look for it in Friday’s blog post!!)
Stamp the sentiment on a scrap of Basic White cardstock and fussy cut around the words. With mini glue dots adhere to the circle die and using glue dots under the left side and one under the end of the word at the right – adhere the vellum circle to the card front.
Add a fussy cut Pool Party flower to the circle and place a mini glue dot under this embellishment for additional stability and to hide the glue dot placement.
Because the card front is cut and score so it is a partial front I have taken the Hearts from the punch and using a blending brush and Flirty Flamingo ink colored them and adhered them to the dsp on the inside of the card – taping only the right hand side and leaving the left hand side free to act as a tab to secure the shorter end of the card closed.
I added three solid Faceted Gems to the card front – one over the inside flower on the vellum above it!

Hope you like this different fun fold and try it with your own supplies soon! Now go and create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!
