Basic Beige CS: 1″ x 4 and scrap for the long
thin banner die from Stylish Shapes die set
DSP: 3 1/4″ x 5″

Take the 2 Mossy Meadow 4″ x 5 1/4″ layers and emboss them with the Damask Designs.
Die cut the frame die from the Gallery Blooms die set with one of the layer pieces.

Cut the DSP to 3 1/4″ x 5″.

Stamp the “I miss you already” sentiment from The Right Words sentiment set in Mossy Meadow ink on a Basic Beige scrap and die cut with the thin long banner die from the Stylish Shapes die set.
Adhere to the Mossy Meadow 3/4″ x 3 1/2″ piece.
Emboss the 1″ x 4 1/4″ Basic Beige piece in the Mini Corrugated 3D embossing folder and adhere the sentiment piece on top of the embossed layer.
Place Stampin’ Dimensionals around the frame layer.
Adhere the 4″ x 5 1/4″ embossed layer onto the card front leaving even borders the entire way around.
Adhere the DSP layer on the embossed Mossy Meadow layer under the frame and secure the frame with Dimensionals over top the DSP.
Adhere the sentiment piece over the bottom third across the frame.
Adhere three Low Profile Mossy Meadow Sparkle Dots around the sentiment piece to finish off this stunning card that “frames” this gorgeous DSP to perfection!

Now it’s your turn to create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!

more color mondays – color coach analagous colors

more color mondays – color coach analagous colors

I’m in the process of designing a color theory class for this summer and I have been preparing by using our Color Coach tool to come up with different color combinations!
Today’s color combination is one of the four color theory combinations I will be teaching about: Analogous color combinations.
Analogous colors live adjacent to one another on the color wheel – they are similar in color and compliment each other – working well as a combination set of colors!

Today’s Analogous Color Combination for More Color Mondays color challenge features: Poppy Parade, Flirty Flamingo and Petal Pink.

Measurements:
BASE: Petal Pink CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″, 3″ x 4″ layer
Flirty Flamingo: 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ layer,
scrap for die
Poppy Parade CS: 2 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ strip and
scrap for die

Emboss the Poppy Parade strip with the Damask Designs embossing folder.
I wanted the design to pop a little so I took a Craft White ink pad and dragged it lightly over the embossed (raised) areas of the cardstock.
Adhere the embossed strips of cardstock to the left-hand side of the card base leaving about 1/8″ border on the left side.
Run the Petal Pink cardstock layer through the Stampin’ Cut and emboss with the partial cut die from the Beautiful Motifs die set. This embosses and partially die cuts the image so it remains attached to the cardstock and can be bent upwards to add depth and dimension to the card.
Adhere the Petal Pink layer to the 3 1/4″
x 4 1/4″ Flirty Flamingo layer.
Pop up the double layer onto the center of the card front on Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Die cut the Queen Anne’s Lace die from the Beautiful Motifs die set in both Flirty Flamingo and Poppy Parade card stock.

Adhere the Lace dies to the card front over the partial die cut with Multi-purpose Liquid glue.
Stamp the sentiment – normally I would have stamped this prior to adhering to the card – I thought I was going to stamp the sentiment onto a die cut but decided last minute to stamp it in the lower right-hand corner in Poppy Parade ink.
I adhered Pearl Basic Jewels to the card front to finish off the card. I love how this turned out! Try a new analogous color combination from your stash and go create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!

beautiful gallery louvered card

beautiful gallery louvered card

I am always looking for ways to use my Basic White strip scraps.

Today’s card is a great way to use up some of the scraps! I saw a version of this card on Pinterest and decided to try it with the Beautiful Gallery Suite of products.

Measurements:
BASE: Highland Heather CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Lemon Lime Twist CS: 4″ x 5 1/4″
Basic White CS: (8) 1/2″ strips

Take the 8 strips and press them together and using 3M Post-It Tape to tack down both sides so that the strips stay tightly together.

Make sure that the strips are together without leaving any space in between them. Stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento ink the triple flower image from the Gallery Blooms stamp set from the Beautiful Gallery Suite of products.
Color the blossoms of the flowers with Highland Heather and Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends.
Color the leaves with Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends.
Cut and score the Highland Heather base card.
Cut the Lemon Lime Twist layer.
Stamp the hello sentiment in Highland Heather ink onto the second to the last strip.
Pull the top strip off the 3M Post-It Tape and adhere three Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the strip and adhere to the card.
Pull the next strip off the tape and adhere directly below the first strip – do not pop this one up but adhere directly to the Lemon Lime CS layer.
Continue layering the strips and alternating popped up and adhered directly, creating a louver effect, like you see on shutters!
Finish adhering all the strips in an alternating pattern.
I adhered 5 Purple Fine Shimmer Gems to the card tucking two slightly under the popped up strips to accentuate the louver effect!

Try this technique with your scraps and see what you can create – one stamp at a time!
