Last Friday in the Guys swap blog post their was a card I loved that incorporated a faux layer technique and I knew it would be perfect for this color challenge and what I had planned for my own card and version of that technique!
Measurements:
Base: Pretty Peacock 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at
4 1/4″ and 2 1/8″
Basic White Layer: 4″ x 5 1/4″
scrap for die cutting: Pretty Peacock and Fresh
Freesia
Stick pieces of 3M sticky notes straight along the left hand border of the Basic white layer and then another Sticky note perpendicular along the bottom edge of the layer. You can use our Masking paper ((#155480) this is bigger and perfect for this use but I did not have any on hand!
The paper looks as though it has a layer of colored paper on it creating the faux layer effect!
The Faux Layering is so easy and fun – try it today and create some art of your very own – one stamp at a time!
Happy Stampin’
