design a daydream dsp corner pop out fun fold

I first saw this Corner pop out fun fold on a favorite resource of mine – a sideline demonstrator in my family tree named Rachel!
I loved it and had to copy and share it with you all!

Measurements:
Base: Design a Daydream DSP 7″ x 8 1/4″
Basic White CS 4″ x 5 1/4″
2 5/8″ square
scraps for die cutting Sunflower
Daffodil Delight CS 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
scraps for die cutting sunflower outline

With the 7″ side on top – score the DSP 2 3/4″ from left hand side and from the top of the DSP
Fold the paper at a diagonal at the merge point of the two score lines making sure that the edges are parallel to the sides.
Fold the diagonal score lines toward the inside of the card so that the square sits above the two folded score lines as shown.
Adhere the Basic white layer to the Daffodil Delight layer
adhere those layers to the bottom right inside rectangle as shown below.
Stamp the smaller Basic White CS square
Adhere that white square to the upper left hand inside space as shown.
With the card closed stamp the hello sentiment from the Artistically Inked set and then open uo the card and stamp the small sunflower image below the sentiment.
This is what the inside looks like stamped and adhered together
Stamp on a scrap piece of Basic White CS the large sunflower image and die cut.
Die cut on Daffodil Delight CS the sunflower outline and adhere the two die cuts together
Close the card and adhere the large sunflower to the outer upper square.
Here are images of other samples using different DSP patterns from the same Design a Daydream DSP pack

rainbow emboss resist with amazing phrasing

rainbow emboss resist with amazing phrasing

This is my favorite July-August 2022 Sale-a-bration Item! This set is so fun and full of great sentiments and sayings! It is a Level 2 Sale-a-bration item meaning that it requires a $100 order to qualify for this FREE merchandise item but boy is it worth it! Multiple combinations exist and this card contains just two of the Amazing Phrasing phrases!

This card also features the Emboss Resist Technique in rainbow colors so it makes for a very bright and cheery card!

Measurements:
BASE: Poppy Parade CS 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2
scored at 4 1/4″
Layers: Basic White 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
Basic White (embossed layer) 5 1/4″ x 4
Scraps: Basic White for the sentiment

This card is perfect for using one of our returning favorites – the Embossing Additioons Tool Kit (#159971) which includes the Embossing Buddy, the Powder Pal, Crafting Tweezers, and a Crafting Brush.

Using the Stamparatus ink up the Spiral Dye stamp and stamp the image onto the smaller Basic White CS layer.

Place in the Powder Pal and sprinkle the Clear embossing powder from the Basics Embossing Powders (#155554) set.

Using the tweezers hold the paper and heat with the Heat tool so you do not burn your fingers since the entire layer is embossed.
Heat until the powder changes to a shiny smooth surface, do not overheat as you can singe the powder.
Starting in the spiral center, Brush on ink color in rainbow order – Gorgeous Grape, Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, and Poppy Parade inks with the Blending brushes.
Using a paper towel or a dried up baby wipe – burnish the surface so that the embossed areas return to their white coloring.
Layer the embossed layer onto the larger Basic White layer.
Adhere that layer onto the Poppy Parade base card. Then add the sentiment to the lower portion of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Add 2022-2024 In Colors Decorative Matte Dots in a rainbow gradient of colors and your fun and cheery rainbow emboss resist card is complete. Try a fun and cheery card and create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!

twisted ribbon technique

twisted ribbon technique

This is a fun paper technique that uses Designer Series Paper to look like a wrapped ribbon around a piece of paper.
There are many samples of it on the internet and this is my version using the Texture Chic Suite.

Measurements:

BASE: Basic White CS 4 1/2″ x 11″
scored at 5 1/2″
Pool Party layers: 2 pieces of 1 7/8″ x 5 1/4″
Basic White layer: 1 piece of 1 5/8″ x 5″
Strips of Texture Chic Specialty paper:
12 pieces of 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
Scraps for front focal pieces in Pool Party and
Basic White CS

On the Basic White CS piece in pencil place tic marks along both sides at 1/2″ intervals.
Add Liquid glue from the top left tic mark to the second tic mark on the right side of the CS piece and continue down the left side skipping to every other tic mark.
Adhere the strips to the Basic White CS placing them just above the tic marks.
Place glue in the opposite direction from the bottom corner of the left hand piece to the top corner of the right hand pice and secure the opposite color on the other DSP side in the opposite direction – see picture below.
I added one extra darker piece at the top
Turn over to the back side and cut off the DSP overhang
Adhere the 1 5/8″ x 5″ piece of DSP to the Pool Party matte that is 1 7/8″ x 5 1/4″ and then adhere to the left side of the base card leaving a 1/4″ border around the outside.
Adhere the Twisted Ribbon Layer to the Pool Party matte and adhere to the right side of the card.
Stamp the seashell images and sentiment from the Season of Chic stamp set in Pool Party on Basic White cardstock and die cut images.

Die cut the background image in Pool Party and adhere the background and two seashells to the left side of the card front.

Die cut the sentiment with the smaller banner die from the Stylish Shapes die set and pop up on Stampin’ Dimensionals and add on top of the seashell focal piece.
Add the Gold Pearls from the Red and Green Adhesive backed Pearls to the card front.
Add Pool Party Sheer Ribbon to the top of the card!
Such a fun and easy layer using the Twisted Ribbon technique! Try it soon and create some beautiful art of your very own – one stamp (or DSP strip!) at a time!

last days of sale-a-bration – aspen trees dies card

last days of sale-a-bration – aspen trees dies card

I love watercoloring but it can be intimidating for some so I LOVE this technique! The watercolor Smoosh technique is awesome for any level of stamper – beginner to advanced!

Just pick two or three complimentary colors and either a window sheet or one of your acrylic plates from the Stamparatus (#146276) – this is one of my favorite things to use the acrylic plates for!

Measurements:

BASE: Basic White CS 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Layers: Basic white 2 pieces of 4″ x 5 14/”
Sahara Sand 1 piece of 4″ x 5 1/4″
Scraps: Basic White for the sentiment

Using one of the acrylic plates from your Stamparatus, scribble 2-3 colors with your Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers in a random pattern covering an area larger than the 4″ x 5 1/4″ pieces of Basic White cardstock.
Using a spray bottle filled with Rubbing Alcohol, spray the acrylic surface with the alcohol until the colors start to run and blend.
Place the Basic White CS on top of the acrylic surface to absorb the color and alcohol mixture.

Allow to dry and repeat process for the second sheet of Basic white CS.

With the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine die cut the Sahara Sand CS piece with the large tree silhouette die from the Aspen Trees Dies set (#163102) (which is available as a Sale-a-bration FREE level two merchandise item through the end of August!) and use the two leaf dies on the alcohol Blends technique paper and die cut multiple leaves from this CS.
Adhere the second full sheet of the Alcohol Blends colored CS to the back of the Aspen Trees Die cut paper. I used Stampin’ Seal + as the paper curls slightly due to the alcohol.
Adhere this layer to the Basic White Card base and then adhere the leaves to the bottom portion of the card.
With a scrap piece of Basic White stamp the sentiment in coordinating Sahara Sand ink and I used the light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends marker and tapped it on the edge of a scissors to create a subtle splatter effect on the piece of paper before die cutting it from the Stylish Shapes die set.
Pop up the sentiment on Stampin’ Dimensions and adhere atop the leaf clusters.
here is a close up photo of the subtle splatter effect.
I added the sweet sorbet 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative dots to the front and voila a colorful Fall card! I have just the perfect young lady just off to college to send this to!
If you haven’t tried this easy and fun technique – give it a whirl – careful though it is addictive!!
It’s simple and lovely and comes out different every time! Now go out and create some art of your own – one stamp at a time!

quick and simple triple panel card using the snowflake specialty paper

quick and simple triple panel card using the snowflake specialty paper

This is my favorite paper in the entire new July to December 2022 mini catalog – the Snowflake 12″ x12″ Specialty Vellum contains 6 sheets 2 of each design including iridescent foiling and white flocking – just stunning!

scored at 4 1/4″
Silver Foil 4″ x 5 1/4″
Snowflake Vellum three pieces cut
consecutively at 3 1/4″ x 1 3/8″

Using the spaces on the vellum that are covered with iridescent foil – hide the mini Stampin’ Dimensional on the three pieces of vellum.
Adhere the vellum to the Silver foil.
Adhere the Silver Foil piece to the Basic White card base
Using a scrap piece of Basic White CS stamp in Versamark the word Joy from the Brightest Glow stamp set. Pour Silver Embossing powder over the Versamark ink and tap off the excess back into the container of powder.
Using the heat tool, heat set the Silver Embossing powder with the heat tool until it turns shiny.

color blocking with designer series paper

color blocking with designer series paper

This card making technique is an ultra easy way to use DSP and make simple stamped cards quickly! The Gingham Cottage DSP pack is a huge pack of delightful gingham patterned 12 x 12 paper in shades of Real Red, Blushing Bride, Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green, Mint Macaron, and Basic Black.

Measurements:

Base: Basic White CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Basic Black CS: 5 1/4″ x 3 1/4″
DSP: 5″ x 3″

Cut multiple pieces of DSP on the 3″ side to two pieces one strip measuring 1″ x 5″ and another 2″ x 5″.
Turn the 2″ strip 90 degrees and cut the 5″ side into two pieces measuring 2″ square and 2″ x 3″.
Then mix and match the DSP so you have different colors and patterns in each of the three sections.

The card above uses the larger flower from the Color and Contour stamp set and the sentiments are all die cut from the Contour Scallops die set that coordinates with the Color and Contour set.
The sample above switches the 1″ piece to the right side of the card – just this simple switch makes the cards look different! These are accented with the Black Matte Dots and the Black and white Gingham ribbon!
Different colored Gingham DSP and switched the Sentiment piece to the top!
Used two flowers one popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals and no ribbon but a background stamp on the cards edge.
The two sided Gingham Cottage DSP gives this card design so many options!
Hope these simple stamping cards give you ideas to go and create!
It is easy to go and make some art of your own – one stamp at a time!
