june demonstrator swap cards

june demonstrator swap cards

Today’s post is all about the cards I received in my demonstrator swap for June! The theme for this month was a critter swap!

The first card is from Denise W – our swap organizer and one of my upline demonstrators! She chose the Turtle-y Cute suite of products and layered the card with strips of Granny Apple Green, Garden Green, Shaded SPruce, Night of Navy and Balmy Blue with distressed edges for fun! She added Shades of Green Hexagons for embellishments and a DSP turtle cute out to complete this adorable card!

Lori V’s swap card features the Feathered Fun bird image sitting on a clever Everyday Arches die cut that resembles a swinging perch! these are mounted on a Cajun Craze embossed Exposed Brick background on a Pecan Pie card base – great color combination!
This next swap card is from Marie W and features the Choose Happy and Notes and Totes bundles on the Thoughtful Journey DSP – so cute!
Patty J used the Otterly Amazing Bundle for this sweet critter card, die cutting the DSP for a fast and easy card that packs a punch!
Carol S’s swap card uses the 2025-2027 Designer Series paper for the Beautiful Butterflies dies flitting above the Pressed Flowers embossing folder and the Strawberry Slush Faux Linen Ribbon. You probably cannot see it in the photographs but the Butterfly bodies are glittered with the Wink of Stella pen!
Love the sentiment using the hole punch assortment to string the ribbon through the circle die – so clever!
This last card is from Michelle L and features the Sunflower 3D embossing folder in Lost Lagoon with accents of Basic Beige and Basic White with Flat Antique Pearls!
These cards have a lot of subtle charm and loads of ideas – hopefully you saw something on one or more of these examples that inspired you to create some artwork of your very own – now go create – one stamp at a time!

more color mondays – daffodil delight, coastal cabana and flirty flamingo

more color mondays – daffodil delight, coastal cabana and flirty flamingo

It’s Monday and that means another color challenge. Today’s challenge features Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana and Flirty Flamingo!

I am using a Faux Layering technique and embossing for this simple and stunning card!

Measurements:
BASE: Coastal Cabana CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Basic White CS: 4″ x 5 1/4″ and scrap for
sentiment piece.

Tear post it notes or masking paper and layer on the top and bottom of the 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White piece. Leave about 1 1/2″ – 2″ gap in between the post it notes.

Using a Blending Brush, layer Coastal Cabana on the bottom third of the opening.

Using a second blending brush add a layer of Daffodil Delight ink above the Coastal Cabana overlapping the colors slightly!
Using a third blending brush layer Flirty Flamingo across the top of the opening and overlap with the Daffodil Delight slightly – this creates a gradient look and new colors in the mix!
Stamp one of the images from the Online Exclusive Prairie Grass stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink across the Post-It notes three to four times across the paper.
Remove the Post-It notes.
Place the Basic White colored layer in the Eyelet 3D embossing folder and emboss.
Adhere to the Coastal Cabana card base.
I used a 1″ x 2 3/4″ scrap of Basic White CS and stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink a sentiment from the Prairie Grass stamp set.

I colored the cardstock with a Blending Brush and Flirty Flamingo ink.

I distressed the edges with the edge of my Snips scissors and then popped it up on Stampin’ Dimensionals and layered it in the left-hand upper corner of the card.

I added some black dots to finish off this dramatic silhouette faux layer card!

Try this technique and see what you can create – one stamp at a time!

pressed flowers color mask card

pressed flowers color mask card

Sometimes you just need a pretty and simple birthday card and the summer is prime birthday season for my BIG family – so I need lots of cards! This card fits the bill all around – fast and easy but stunning in it’s simplicity!

Welcome to the new Pressed Flowers embossing folder (#165614) is part of the new Online Exclusives Floral Impressions Suite. It is a regular embossing folder and so sweet and simple.

Measurements:
BASE: Basic White CS: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″, 4 1/4″ x 51/2″ piece,
4″ x 5 1/4″ and 2 scraps for die cuts

That’s it! I told you this one was simple!

Take the Basic White layer and run it through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine using the base plate #1 and sandwich the folder between two cutting plates #3’s and run through!

Take a Basic White scrap and cut one small butterfly die from the Beautiful Butterflies die set and the long thin banner die from the Stylish Shapes die set.

Color the butterfly using Petunia Pop ink and a blending brush.

Take the 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ quarter sheet of cardstock and die cut the fourth from the smallest rectangular die from the Textured Notes die set (save the die for another use).
We will be using the negative space created by the die cut.

Place the negative die cut directly on the embossed layer and color with a blending brush and Coastal Cabana ink on the top right hand corner inside the negative space.

Color the lower half diagonally from the top left corner to the bottom two corners with Petunia Pop ink and a blending brush slightly overlapping the Petunia Pop over the previously colored Coastal Cabana.
Remove the negative die space mask from the embossed layer.
Tie and knot a length of Petunia Pop ribbon around the embossed layer.
Adhere the ribbon embossed layer onto the card front with even borders.
Pop up the small butterfly die onto the upper right edge of the colored area.
Stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment image in Petunia Pop ink onto the Stylish Shapes banner die.

Lightly color the banner with the Petunia Pop blending brush without re-inking it so you get a subtler color on the sentiment piece.

Pop up on Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and place on the lower portion of the card slightly above the ribbon.

Place three coordinating 2024-2026 In Color Flat Pearls to the card to finish this easy birthday card! Now time to mail it off!

It’s your turn to make a cute and easy birthday card – try your hand at this negative space masking technique with things you have in your stash! Now go and create some artwork of your very own – one stamp at a time!

Paint the 1/4″ strips with a blender pen and Berry Burst ink in a striped pattern.
Paint the remaining strips with the individual colors.

Splatter the embossed layer with Berry Burst ink.

Die cut a Basic White scrap with two consecutive Stylish Shapes dies to make an open circle.
Cut Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals in half around the back of the circle die.
Die cut the large banner die from the Stylish Shapes die set and stamp the Happy Birthday from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set in Berry Burst ink.
Cut the three strips down to about 4″ to 4 1/4″ length and adhere them to the embossed layer in alternating pattern.
Pop up the open circle die over the three strips.
Pop up the Happy Birthday sentiment over the circle die.
Brush Berry Burst ink with a Blending Brush over the small butterfly die from the Beautiful Butterflies bundle.

Place three Fine Shimmer Purple Gems around the card to finish off with a sparkle.
