more color mondays – sweet sorbet, daffodil delight and petal pink

OnStage@Home is a special event for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators coming up on November 11th – it is a craft along day where we are joined by Stampin’ Up! Executives to celebrate the year and talk about business for the upcoming year! We always get a sneak peak of some of the products in the upcoming mini catalog or new annual catalog! This year the set we will be crafting with is featured in the upcoming January to April 2024 mini catalog! It is called the Bee Mine Suite Collection and it features a sweet valentine’s Day bundle with bees and hearts called Bee My Valentine! Today’s More Color Mondays is a sneak peak into that suite and a fun accordion pop out card!

Measurements:
BASE: Sweet Sorbet 4 1/4″ x 11″
scored at 5 1/2″
DSP: Bee Mine (available in January)
(3) 4″ x 5 1/4″
Pop Out Mechanism: Basic White 11″ x 1″
Basic Black layers: (4) 2 1/8″ x 2 5/8″
Daffodil Delight Layers: (4) 2″ x 2 1/2″

This a WOW card but super simple to put together!

Score and fold the Sweet Sorbet card base in half at the 5 1/2″ mark.
Adhere the striped side out of the Bee Mine DSP to each of the three sides – card front and two insides. (You can also put a Basic White 4″ x 5 1/4″ layer on the back for writing)
Cut a 1″ strip by 11″ and score at 2 3/4″, 5 1/2″, and 8 1/4″ – fold into a W.

Adhere the flat portion down to the outside edge in the center of the left inside panel.

Place adhesive on the outside flat edge of the mechanism and close the back of the card over the mechanism to adhere the strip to the back center of the inside of the card. Make sure that the center score line is lined up with the center score of the card base.
Adhere the Daffodil Delight pieces to the Black matte pieces.
Decorate and stamp the daffodil delight pieces with images and sentiments.
Decide the order of the small pieces and adhere the entire back to the first and last piece centering it over the pop out mechanism.
Placing adhesive only on the middle of the second and third sections of the mechanism adhere the second and third pieces to the pop out mechanism piece placing them in line with the first and last piece.
Decorate the card front. I added a bee and hearts blended with Petal pink ink and a sentiment. I added three Iridescent Pastel Gems to the card front to add a final touch of sparkle!

The card ingredients below will not have the Bee Mine Suite shown until January when they become available to customers.

Join me for More Color Mondays each week use these exact or similar colors and post your creation in the comment section of that Mondays Facebook post!

abundant beauty decorative masks

abundant beauty decorative masks

I love the affordability and versatility of the decorative masks and the new one in the current September to December 2023 mini catalog is a winner! It combines and four step layered sunflower mask, a background, a snowflake scene and a fall leaves mask. The possibilities are endless.

I have several cards made with this mask set to share with you today.

The first card uses the snowflake die and our Shimmery White Embossing Paste to create 3D snowflakes on the card front layer!

Measurements:
BASE: Smoky Slate 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
scored at 4 1/4″
Basic White layer 4″ x 5 1/4″

Place the snowflake decorative mask over the Basic White layer. Using the Paste tools smooth on a layer of the Shimmery White Embossing Paste onto the Basic White layer. Peel off the decorative mask and clean the embossing paste off the mask before it dries. Allow the embossing paste on the Basic White layer to dry thoroughly.

The paste creates a 3 dimensional pattern on the paper – it is so cool!
I wrapped the Silver and White Sheer ribbon around the Basic White layer and popped it up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a stamped banner from the Stylish Shapes die set for the sentiment piece and added Iridescent rhinestones to finish off this stunning shimmery card!
The second card is a fun fold peek-a-boo card!

Measurements:
Base: Basic White 2 sheets of 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″

Score the first sheet at 4 1/4″ and die cut a circle from the Stylish shapes in the upper center of the card front.

Using a Blending Brush ink blend the snowflake images on the card front with the circle die in place.

Score the second sheet at 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″
Adhere the largest panel to the inside of the first card so that the Z fold is on the right side.

Put glue on the z fold that shows through the circle die space and adhere the circle to the part of the z fold that shows through the negative circle space.

I added “let it snow” sentiments all over the card front and circle die.
I added Iridescent Rhinestones to the card front.
I finished the card off with the Silver and White Sheer ribbon down the left hand side of the card front.
The third card uses the four step sunflower masks. Each masks has a notch in the upper right hand corner to help you line up the images. I used grid paper and marked the Basic White layer corners and then the notch in pen on the grid paper to realign the paper and the masks each time!
I started with the flower petals and ink blended Crushed Curry over the mask onto the paper.
I added the next mask for the flower centers and inked with Pumpkin Pie ink.
I removed that mask and added the third one with the detailed flower centers and used Cajun Craze ink on this mask.
Using the last mask and Granny Apple Green ink I added leaves in two different positions.
Lining up the images allows you to create a flawless flower image! I love the results!
I mounted the Basic White masked layer onto a Crushed Curry base and added a small banner die for the sentiment and 2021-2023 In Color Opal rounds as the embellishment!

Three totally different looks from one decorative mask set – so economical and versatile!

Try your hand at a mask today or a card of your very own! Go create some art work – one stamp at a time!

offset gate fold card with new online exclusive products

offset gate fold card with new online exclusive products

There are some new online exclusive products being released on November 7th that demonstrators were able to pre-order and one of the new bundles is called Garden Meadow! The paper is scenic and gorgeous and I wanted to preview it with a fun fold that would utilize as much of it as I could!

Measurements:
Base: Blueberry Bushel 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
Basic White layer: 4″ x 5 1/4″ for inside
DSP 6″ x 6″ cut at 5 1/4″
then cut at 1 1/4″, 2 1/2″

Score the base cardstock at 1 1/2″ and 5 3/4″
Fold Inward.

Adhere the Basic White layer in the center of the inside of the card.
Cut 3/4″ off the 6″ x 6″ piece of Meandering Garden DSP at the bottom to make the piece 5 1/4″. then looking at the picture cut 1 1/4″ and 2 1/2″ off the 6″ side.

This is how I divided my DSP, I wanted to use the meandering path as a focal point so I cut from the right side of the DSP.

Adhere the 1 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of DSP to the smaller panel on the left. Adhere the 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ piece of DSP to the larger panel on the left side of the offset gatefold.
This bundle comes with a gorgeous set of new dies that include a gate and an arch shaped opening among other beautiful dies. I cut the gate from Basic Gray cardstock and adhered it to the bottom on either side of the opening.

The bottle you see in the picture is a fine tip glue bottle that I purchased from Amazon I love this precision tip applicator and I refill the bottles with our Multi Purpose liquid glue!

If you would like the link contact me and I can direct you were to buy it!

I stamped a greeting on the outside small panel as well as an inside the card greeting on the middle panel along with the image of the watering can in Basic Gray ink. I also added the additional scenic panel on the inside right panel of the card – couldn’t waste such pretty paper!
I flipped over the 3/4″ piece I cut off the bottom of the DSP in the beginning and added it to the left hand panel. The itty bitty piece of cardstock at the bottom of the card is the only waste I had from that 6″ x 6″ DSP piece!
I added to flat brass birds from the new embellishments from this online exclusive suite called Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies and Birds!

Since these items are not yet available in the online store for customers you can come back on November 7th and see the links to these products below then!

I will be highlighted some of these products in the upcoming weeks so stay tuned for more product reveals!

Now go and create some art of your very own – maybe an offset gate fold like this card with the items you have in your craft room! One stamp at a time!

sparkling snowflakes joy fold card with belly band

sparkling snowflakes joy fold card with belly band

Today I am highlighting a fun fold called a Joy Fold! Some think it is called a Joy fold because the card looks a little like a J when unfolded but that is a stretch LOL.
This fold is made from two main pieces of cardstock and can be embellished in an endless realm of possibilities!

Measurements:
BASE: Azure Afternoon 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
Crumb Cake Layer: 4 3/4″ x 6″
White layer: (2) 2 3/4″ x 4 1/2″
(1) 1 7/8″ x 5 1/4″
scrap for fussy cut snowflakes

Fold the Azure Afternoon base card into a traditional Z fold – score at 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″.
Fold the card in half at 4 1/4″ and fold backwards at 2 1/8″ to make the Z pattern.

Score the 6″ side at 3″ and fold the 4 3/4″ x 6″ in half on the 6″ side.

Take the 1 7/8″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock and emboss with the Cheery Patterns embossing folder.

Adhere to the front of the Z fold.

Stamp the snowflake images from the Sparkling Snowflakes in Crumb cake and Azure Afternoon on one of the 2 3/4″ x 4 1/2″ Basic White layers. Adhere to the top of the Crumb Cake Cardstock with the opening on the left (this seems backwards but it is correct!)
Stamp a greeting and snowflake on the other Basic White layer of the same size and adhere to the inside of the Crumb Cake card.
Adhere the crumb cake layer to the center of the larger Azure Afternoon panel.
On Basic white scrap stamp two small snowflakes in Azure Afternoon ink and fussy cut.
Close the Z fold under the Crumb Cake layer and add a Stampin’ Dimensional to the embossed White layer, remove the release paper and adhere one of the small snowflakes over the Dimensional so that the majority of the snowflake hangs over the Crumb Cake card.
This will act as a latch.
I also used a 1/2″ x 11″ crumb cake strip as a belly band, banner punched the end and popped up the second fussy cut snowflake to the band.
Slip the band over the card to help secure it closed.
I added Iridescent Pastel Gems in blue to the snowflake card front to finish off my Sparkling Snowflakes Joy Fold card with a little sparkle!

Hope this inspires you to try this fold soon.
