building an oceanfront scene

Oceanfront is one of the new J to J 2022 Mini Catalog sets that I am so excited to share with you – this is a “build a scene” stamp set with beautiful images with limitless possibilities!

Measurements:
Balmy Blue CS 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
Basic white CS 4″ x 5 1/4″ and
large scrap eventually cut to approximately
3 1/8″ x 4 1/4″
Pool Party CS 3 1/4″ x 4 3/8″

Starting with the large scrap I stamped the larger rectangular shaped background stamp in Balmy Blue ink at the top of the scrap for the sky.

Next I stamped the larger angled stamp in Pool Party directly below the sky image for the water.

I stamped the smaller angled stamp in Crumb Cake ink multiple times for the sand portion of the scene.

I stamped the speckled stamp ovber the sand image to create the sand texture.

Next I stamped the sea grass on the left and right side of the sand dunes, at varying heights.

Then I finished the Crumb cake stamping with an image from another stamp set from the Jan to June 2022 Mini Catalog On the Horizon I stamped the flying birds in the sky.

I stamped the words Relax and enjoy your day from the On the Horizons stamp set on the bottom of the 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White CS

I adhered the 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic white CS to the Balmy Blue CS base.
I cut the stamped scene down to approximately 3 /18″ x 4 1/4″ and tore two diagonal edges off opposite sides.
I mounted this CS onto Pool Party CS leaving about 1/8″ border and popped this up on Stampin’ Dimensionals and added to the top portion of the white CS

One of the cool new accessories from the new mini catalog is the Pebbles Enamel Shapes they look like cute little pebbles and I added them to the sand in the scene for a finally finishing touch!
