Today’s blog post is all about the large die in the Two Toned Flora bundle – I eyed this die for the longest time and finally broke down and bought it – I like the set a lot more then I thought I would the two step stamping gives the flowers so much depth and dimension but it is this large die that first caught my attention! I have seen it with darker colored cardstock in the background but I had an idea to do a tri-color watercolor wash and I LOVE the way this turned out – so I am going to teach you how to do it!
Measurements:
BASE: Flirty Flamingo 4 1/4″ x 11
scored at 5 1/2″
Basic White: (2) 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ scrap for the
sentiment piece
Window sheet
Set out a window sheet, I used half a sheet and grab three colors of Stampin’ Blends markers – I used Dark Poppy Parade, Dark Flirty Flamingo and Dark Daffodil Delight.

Literally scribble lines on the window sheet, I started with the Poppy Parade. Probably would be better to start with the lightest color and go in the opposite order as I did. I was careful not to cross contaminate the colors but going lightest to darkest is better in case you are not careful and run your Daffodil Delight into a scribble of Poppy Parade!
Scribble lines of your next color – Flirty Flamingo.
Scribble your last color – mine was Daffodil Delight.
Spray generously with 99% Isopropyl Alcohol until the individual lines of the colors start to blur and mix.
Lay the paper into the alcohol mixture and pat all points on the paper so it absorbs the ink and alcohol mixture all over the cardstock
Wipe off the window sheet and if the color is too light or you missed spots or it is not to your liking YET…add more colors to the window sheet and reapply alcohol and apply the cardstock.
Cut the die to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and apply glue the back and glue the alcohol wash piece to the large die.
Cut the two pieces down to 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ and adhere to the card base.
Add ribbon (this is a ribbon that is discontinued sorry!)
Use the Iridescent Pastel Gems to the card front.
I used a sentiment die from the Sentimental Park die set and stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink and the sentiment is from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set. I water colored the flowers on the die cut with a water painted and Flirty Flamingo ink and popped it up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.
